They have improved a lot. It's smoother now, but still not as good as Pixel UI, Harmony OS, Oxygen OS, and iOS.

the fingerprint unlock, you turned off animations for fingerprint unlock on the one u.i 6.0 or maybe its just the default way it was set on One u.i 6.0
Im gonna be jumped at for this, but i'll say it anyway: there's no need to spend $1000 on a phone. I enjoy my brand new Samsung a lot. I enjoy my battery a lot. The camera in good lightning is amazing. The phone is faster than my older iphone 7. And my Samsung is worth only 10 dollars a month. 2024 phone. Yay

@awesomemen2092 I actually had the S22 Ultra. And I ended up getting a pixel 8 pro instead and the animations in material U.I are way smoother and not choppy. I recently now have the 1 + 12. And the animations are just as smooth as a pixel phone. If not more smooth, so I would say that really Samsung are the only ones that are lagging behind when it comes to animation and UI smoothness.

The touch response on my S21 was fine, maybe the Samsung ultra models are just problematic and full of quality control issues which is unfortunate if you ask me

@untraveled99 yeah bro, I actually said that to acknowledge your comment. I also agree that one ui 5.1 was one of the best and smooth ui from samsung.. let's just hope one ui 6 becomes that stable.
@untraveled99 one ui 5.1 was their LOWEST in animations. it was insanely stuttery and the animations seemed incomplete. after updating to one ui 6, i noticed a HUGE improvement in animations. one ui 5.1 is probably my fave one ui version but not in terms of animations.
@user-ok6uo6cz1c it was made for the S series with 120hz it was really amazing not too fast nor slow in contrast one ui 6 is way too fast, they slowed it down again in 6.1
