A buddy at the club I shoot at, Oakland county sportsman’s club, has a Dan Wesson. He is at 5000 rounds without cleaning. It runs flawless, no malfunctions. 1911s can be extremely reliable. All of the moving parts must be worn together, mated together. For mass produced 1911s this happened in the 500-1000 round break-in process. But once a 1911 is broken in they are reliable and smooth as hell.
I kind of agree, 40,000 rounds through my accuracy x and same recoil spring. Replaced the mainspring when it quit being reliable around 20k. Have a flying pig bullseye with 10k and the thought of replacing spring has not crossed my mind. @@jasonhavers5961
15,000 rounds. Does it still have the same barrel and barrel bushing in it? What about the recoil spring and extractor? Have the original parts gone the full 15,000 rounds? 9:08
Right now it has just over 17k. Same Barrel / bushing that it came with. Same extractor. I replace the recoil spring every season. Everything else is what it came with.
Hey Brother! I didn’t love the non-bullseye direction I took the channel so I deleted it. Starting over to build a BE centric home on TH-cam. Sadly, I think I deleted my 10K video review. But this baby is close to 20k so another video will happen eventually.
At Perry or other competitions I never use a filthy gun. My barrels are clean and so is the gun, especially when shooting an EIC match. I won a match or lost a match by a point or an X, to me it makes a difference.
Great question. In fairness I’ve only owned one of each. To me the Chambers WMG line compares best to the Accuracy X Pro Plus line. Both of my models performed well and were accurate at 50 yards. I earned EIC points with both. If you can get on his list and only one sight configuration I’d say try to get a WMG. If you want to run basically any sight combo I’d go with the accuracy x. Joe does 1.5” guarantees on new builds. I can tell you mine is very accurate. Steve at AXI will ship his guns with an accuracy guarantee and the 10 shot ransom rest target. Both Steve and Joe have been stand up gentlemen to deal and work with and they both come with my highest recommendation.
That’s good insight. What about when throwing the X series line of accuracy x in the mix? Looking at ordering an x series and I’m also in the very long chambers waitlist at this point.
@@mobilegamersunite Ok, you've still spent $20k at that point. You can't take it with you. Why do people always get so butthurt at other people's nice things? Especially when that person actually uses them. I'll never understand.

I appreciate seeing "safe queen" category guns all beat up and patina'd through lots of use. Great looking pistol.

Nothing more sexy than a well used firearm. New sub, I'll look back through your videos.
Had to dump water out of my 1911 and mags after getting home from Perry. So I am right there with you on the CLP hose down.
Happy to see your videos are back!
More to come!
Joe knows his way around 1911’s.
I’ve enjoyed discussions with him.
Huge respect for Chambers Custom.
Thank you!!!
happy to see your channel back, i saw you in a picture in the cmp shooting news. what happened to your old channel?
Its like my old Rock Island, it has 18k rounds through it and running strong. yes the springs do get replaced every 3-6k rounds
Why? Did it fail? and require replacement?
Nope. It’s just a good habit to change out springs every once and a while.
@@BullseyePistolwhat loads do you use. I use 4.2 wst over 200 lswc or 4.2 be over same bullet

That’s awesome!!! I’ve been wanting to get the CC WMG. This video was what I needed to go ahead and get it.
Love my WMG. Joe builds a great gun.

You should post your other WMG videos!

That is the most amazing pistol i have ever seen!
Thank you man! I agree
During camp perry, or through the triple crown, goes often so you clean? How deep do you clean and where?
I usually only clean twice a year. Spring and right after Perry. Total cleaning, tear it down completely. I shoot approx 3500 / year on this gun.
I've got sharkskins on mine and they are really great. Hardly shoot it because I'm so busy shooting rifle.
They’re my preferred grip.
I see that you sprayed the outside of your 1911 pistol. How about the insides? Have they been lubed at least?

Nice to meet. Ya could you please tell me where I could find some grip tape. Thanks
Amazon search “skateboard tape”
I clean my firearms on a automotive solvent parts washer and dry it with shop air.Lube and put back together.
I do with hot water and diesel.
What kind of rear sight is that on the Perry pistol and 7 min mark?
Sorry for the delay. That’s a standard Bomar adjustable rear sight. It’s set back to give extra sight radius.
Joe makes a crazy good 1911
Very impressive
Thank you.
Damn. How old is this gun?! It looks like it could have actually been RELEASED in 1911, or at least like a WW II era gun or something.
I think I got this in 2018
FN High Power!
It’s a 1911
Chambers is DEFINITELY one of the best in the game.
Dang now that's some shooting!!
Thank you good Sir.
Bro the NSFW Ending, unplanned LOL
A bit premature

@@BullseyePistol I actually have always guaranteed the WMG line to shoot 1.5" for 10 shots at 50 yards when new...
@@ChambersCustom Important correction! I’ll pin the comment for awareness and edit the post
Funny there are still people out there that hate on 1911’s for reliability reasons. Those people have never owned or shot one.
Was the 15M rounds with all ball ammo?
Nope. Mostly 185GR JHP. I use a 16# recoil spring.
Ever clean it?
Once a season
@@BullseyePistol nice of you to respond, I clean my Tisas model 1911 A 1 US Army. At least one a week.
Could you make a video of the complete cleaning of that 1911, it would be very good
Possibly!

How much is it
All the money. Google Chambers Custom
Take it to a gunsmith ASAP.
Why?
Metal guns are durable are reliable as compared to plastics.
5000 working mans gun 😂 get real
I mean, it’s a gun the working man will have to save up for. ;) Ever fired a Chambers?
Wait til you do the math on 15k rounds. Getting a quality gun is the cheapest part.
@Weimerica8841 fnx45 tactical with extra barrel for 1/3 of the price IMO
