The movie itself, probably not. But the kaiju? Hell yeah! The entire controversy over him is that he was supposed to be "Godzilla" but he wasn't at all. Give him a different name and there's no backlash other than critique of the movie itself. Zilla is a cool kaiju, I would love to see him again.
You said a mouthful! He/she was NOT Godzilla and there were plenty other places to lay eggs... why in town at a place of entertainment? It may have some of Godzilla's DNA, but it was NOT the King Kaiju! Bring him/her back, but give it it's own name and let it be amongst the Kaiju for Godzilla or against him. Quick question: years ago, Godzilla had a son, could this type of "zilla" be the type that Godzilla mated with to get that son? Just some food for thought.
One thought I just had is what if Zilla could be scratched with conventional weapons, but his ability to heal was much greater than most other Titans, to the point of regenerating limbs. The Monsterverse already had scenes like King Ghidorah regrowing one of his heads. Plus, I imagine the ability to heal quickly would also make sense for a kaiju that could grow and reproduce quickly. It would still allow Zilla to have same reliance of his agility to outmaneuver his enemies and avoid being damaged, without exactly making him a glass cannon. If they combine that with the green atomic breath of animated Zilla Jr., the ability to tunnel underground, a set of gills like the Monsterverse Godzilla’s, and a buffed up size, that could be enough of an upgrade to make Zilla work in the Monsterverse.
It doesn't even need to be in the Monsterverse, I just want to see G98 back again. Just like you, it was my first introduction to the character, and it remains a personal favorite to this day.
There’s a comic where he helps OG Godzilla and the other monsters fight alien monsters off of Monster Island. In the beginning of the comic he swims around the island unsure if he’s welcome, but then at the end he’s basically accepted. It’s really cool
I could see Zilla being a Raptor like Godzilla species and Godzilla being a Tyranosaurus. It's green atomic breath would also be a very neat aesthetic.
Back in the day I appreciated that the then "American Godzilla" was so different from the Japanese Godzilla in a similar fashion to how Europe and Asia have different takes on dragons. I was not so fond of the fact that the "American Godzilla" was such a weak monster by comparison, however. That being said, Zilla could have a place in the monsterverse if the companies involved wanted to put him in there.
Yeah and I also miss the days when we only had 28 Toho Godzilla movies, lasting from 2004 to 2014/2016. 1-2 American Godzilla movies, no MonsterVerse, no shin Godzilla or anime trilogy or singular point, and the fanbase was more innocent back then compared to now.

Personally, i would say Godzilla 1998 or Zilla could work in the MonsterVerse if done like this: 1. He's protrayed more closely to the animated series Godzilla, immune to weapons, having the atomic breath, and a personality whose similar to that of the Toho Godzilla, a hero at times and a neutral force of nature at times. 2. Redesign/Reinterpret him to fit with the aesthetics of the MonsterVerse. You can keep the basic design, but change it up a little to keep it more modern and reimagine him not as a mutated iguana, but as a subspecies or whole different species of titan that has traits of both therapod dinosaurs and reptiles like iguanas. 3. I think it's time that Zilla finally has the second chance he deserves, putting him in the MonsterVerse would not only be a huge reintroduction of the character, but also be a redemption. Make him badass like fighting Godzilla, Kong, other titans or even Monarch without pushing him to become better than both Godzilla and Kong. It acknowledges Zilla as his own character while still making him awesome alongside the real Godzilla. Those are my ways that i would fit Godzilla 1998 into the MonsterVerse.
I would love to see zilla as Zilla Jr in the MonsterVerse, i wanna see him as a Guardian protecting Earth fighting alongside with Godzilla, Mothra & Kong, that would be awesome.
Definitely a special feeling for Zilla. He still has a LOT of potential. Maybe if he comes across the blue energy source in the Hollow Earth, it might upgrade him in some way. That combined with his burrowing/digging abilities could make him an important character going forward.
Not only do I want to see Zilla in the MonsterVerse, I would also love to see Matt Broderick as Nick and Jean Reno as Philippe. If that happens, it's total nostalgia for everyone (myself included) who loved Zilla as a kid.
Oh, I remember the 1998 Godzilla movie! It was my VERY FIRST introduction to the Godzilla franchise and I always have a special place in my heart for Zilla.
I think having Zilla be a subspecies of Godzilla would work in the Monsterverse because you get to keep Zilla as a monster similar but weaker than Godzilla and her name would make total sense. They're from a similar line of monsters but different Godzilla being the stronger one is obviously named GODzilla and Zilla being similar but not as strong as Godzilla is why she has only Zilla as her name.
Probably, I mean Zilla has been getting a lot of respect since his appearance in Rulers of Earth. Titanus Zilla would be interesting, but only if it’s like the one from Godzilla the Series. No weak ass Kaiju.
There is one thing we can thank the 98 Godzilla for. If it wasn't for that movie Toho wouldn't have brought their version back. Without the 98 movie we might not have had the Legendary Godzilla movies.
I love zillas design, the movie itself was a Jurassic park knock off. The zilla from the cratoon series is so much better i loved that. I want to see Zilla be like this distant cousin to Godzilla that went the faster more agile rout, but since it lost all that bulk its not as tough or defensive and the smaller size means a smaller internal reactor so weaker atomic breath so that would give it the green fire breath.
Theoretically, if Zilla was in the MonsterVerse, they could take him two ways either have him as his own species or a 2nd species of the Godzilla genus Gojira.
I definitely would. I also grew up with the '98 movie, so I'd love to see the Zilla species make a return in the MonsterVerse. Especially if they bring back the character from the 1999-2000 animated series.
It might be nice to see Zilla in the monsterverse, but it's an uphill battle. They will have to make Zilla badass; they can give him an actual fire breath and be more invincible.
Could you imagine an army of these things hunting other Kaiju-like raptors? Gotta remember these things reproduce like crazy. Also, the first Godzilla or Zilla was said to be male, not female.
Even if they reproduce quickly there's always predators picking off the young ones, similar to crocodiles in my opinion, i could see Zilla using mouth transport.
I understand people's dislike for Zilla, but after looking at Godzilla: The Series, everyone should give this monster a second chance to reappear in the future film. Plus, Zilla's design reminded me of a T-Rex, with Allosaurus-like arms, and dorsal plates just like that of a Stegosaurus.
I think we already saw him in the Monsterverse.... The Foetodoon in the Hollow Earth could end up mutating from Radiation and grow to become more larger. Or maybe the Foetodoon could end up being a Hybrid Monarch or "another evil organization" create for search purposes or death and destruction.
Well if he's done right then yes. If Zilla is given an origin like being a subspecies of Godzilla species or a cousin for Godzilla then yes. It would be a great redemption for Zilla since he does deserve some more love from the fandom.
I like it and the film. Though it didn't stay true to the toho films I found it made a good film that you could add to the Showa or heisei era (with a few flaws) and pretend that whenever they say Godzilla they say Zilla
The first godzilla movie I watched was Godzilla 1998, and it is one of my favorites to this day. I really hope that they do bring Zilla back as a Titan!!!
The 1998 film of Godzilla is one of the biggest monster films from my childhood that's become one of my top favorite Godzilla movies ever, my mom was the one who showed it to me so you could say it's one of the very films that made me the Godzilla super fan I am today. I don't care if not everyone likes it or the way Godzilla looks in this film, I know what I like and this is definitely one of the many things that will remain in my heart forever. Please include the 1998 Godzilla in the Monsterverse so I can finally have a chance to see him again, nothing would make a Godzilla super fan like me happier, well except for seeing Mothra make another appearance again but for now this is something that most definitely grabs my attention as much as she does. It would be awesome to see zilla in the monsterverse especially his godzilla the series version and it would be an interesting thing to make it that zilla in the monsterverse is a ancient kaiju/titan species that was another rival species that hunted Kong's ancestors. Or they could make zilla a distant relative of godzilla's ancestors. Either way zilla would be a welcome addition to the monsterverse.
I agree I think Zilla should be involved in the monsterverse but he should be related to Godzilla. Like Godzilla Zilla should have gills on his neck and Atomic breath ( green like in the animated series) also Zilla must be an alpha Titan which would challenge Godzilla for dominance

If Zilla was to be introduced in the monsterverse, I'd like the idea of it being set up as a crocodilian type creature, somewhere in the swamps of florida, mutated by a nuclear accident. Zilla always seemed less like an iguana and more like a croc/gator to me.

On Wattpad, I made a biography of an expansive of the 1998 Godzilla movie and the it animated tv show sequal which I dubbed The Tristar MonsterVerse which is heavily based on Legendary's MonsterVerse but it not just that, it's also contains elements from Godzilla Anime Trilogy, Godzilla Singular Point, etc along with other properties like the Gamera Series, other Toho movie monsters, and even Pacific Rim, it sequal Uprising, and the animated The Black. But sadly King Kong is not allowed as I place him in a separate Universe in my Cinos' Spinoff series.
I'd like this monster to come back maybe have people mistake the creature for Godzilla as a callback. Hopefully the distinction is made between Godzilla and Zilla as they are wildly different. Even in the 1998 animated which was better but the fighting style and behavior of the characters were different it's one of the main reasons I never considered him a Godzilla. He's still a cool monster though.
I remember the anime trilogy's book actually references that the Americans mistook Zilla for Godzilla. Ironically while Zilla was not among the strongest of the kaiju that appeared, it proved to be one of the most deadliest due to it's extremely fast birth rate, coupled with the amount of eggs a single Zilla can lay

@@Ezilla82 lol 😂. My guy I'm down for both as well. I was a kid when 98 Zilla came out. It's still good to me. It felt like a what if story more then a Kaiju one. And that's how I see it. What if humanity made there own Godzilla by accident. I do understand that is what the movie is about though yes. It's just hard for me to see it as a Kaiju monster movie.
I would love to see this monster return. I grew up with this monster as toys. I liked the whole thing it made it more real for me. And the thing with Zilla being killed by missiles seemed correct to me. This is why. When most reptiles lay eggs they go through a shed so that their skin is more malleable and pliable to hold the eggs. What if that is what happened, and the only time Zilla is vulnerable physically is around the time the species begin to develop eggs, and after laying them till their skin hardens again.
Great theory! I didn’t know that & I’ve never seen anyone put forth that idea. Probably because they were too busy just hating on the movie. But that opens up the idea that G98 was normally much more resilient. This is my new head canon. Thanks!
Zilla and (almost) all of the monsters from the animated series could fit in MonsterVerse as species of Titans evolved from normal animals that chose or forced to move in and/or remain in Hollow Earth. I loved the main majority of monsters from the animated series.
I mean yes, a lot of people hate Zilla, though, honestly, they don't really need to market Zilla as, well, Zilla. They could just call it something else, perhaps they might be the adult stage of that totally-not-baby-Godzilla thing that cameo'd in the hallow earth in GVK.

Honestly I feel he would fit in nicely, there are plenty of sub species out there and from prehistoric history. I honestly feel that him being a subspecies of Godzilla would be quite nice and offer a bit more respect to the character
It would do well as a Subspecies or even an Juvenile form. Showing that Godzilla's bulk comes from him being an adult and being one for so long. If Zilla was introduce have him be fairly young built faster and more agile but less bulky and thus more vulnerable to other titans. This gives a huge backstory potential to godzilla because maybe the reason we see so few of his kind is it takes a long time to age up to be as big and as badass as he is and very few survived to this age. It would mean that the Mega Godzilla we see in the Kong's throne room was the elder Godzilla, the oldest perhaps even godzilla's father or grandfather and explains that the Kongs and Godzilla's species wiped each other out more or less. With Kongs biggest specimens dying in the fighting and the smaller younger Kongs escaping to Skull Island only to be wiped out later. And Godzilla's species young being wiped out so they never got to their full sizes. (Chimps and the like do in fact go for young rival apes and kill them off for food and to remove a competitor)
I would absolutely love to see zilla in the monsterverse especially the Godzilla the series version of him/her I really his/her design I think it makes him unique and to me it would be incredible to see him/her fight not just Kong or godzilla but almost becoming a new a recurring character in new movies as a possible allie of godzilla kong or Heck even both. #ProZilla also love your channel
I've always loved the subspecies idea, especially if they bring up an evolution idea that Zillas mimic the Godzilla roars to induce fear into enemies that cross their territory.
Honestly the death of Zilla in the movie really gets me as its heart beat is loud and slowing down eventually ending, always makes me think "Humans really are the true monsters aren't we"
Zilla got me into the franchise as a whole, so I cannot hate him as everyone else hates him. Then I watched Zilla Jr. in his cartoon and that just solidified my love for the big guy. The atomic breath, the cunning intelligence, the badassery against his opponents, there was the spirit of the King of Monsters. He would absolutely fit in the Monsterverse, BUT, as long as they make Zilla a subspecies to Godzilla, AND give him the powers of Zilla Jr. Also keep the hints of his iguana physiology TYVM (makes him stand out). Though, he'd need an opponent to fight to cement his spot in the roster...and I vote Battra, and Titanosaurus (at first). I say at first, and pardon me this is me being a HUGE Godzilla nerd, is because Titano wasn't an evil kaiju in his debut film, so it'd be funny & cool to see him fight Zilla, Battra, then team up with Zilla to put Battra down. Boom, Prince of the Monsters and his partner, of the New York prefecture. Titanus Jira has a nice ring to it, yeah?

Oooooo I just came up with a JUICY way they could make Zilla be a thing in the monsterverse: French Monarch researchers developing a bioengineered monster of their own using DNA collected from Godzilla during one of his many battle over the years, radiation and a dash of Iguana (tying back to the origin of Zilla 98, the nukes that made him, the French government that tried burying it, and being a lizard before mutating.) To top it off, they could make it a thing where they experimented with making it imprint on one of the research staff, and its the lead reasearcher at that. Oh and their name? Dr. Tetopolus!!! Side note, make it that its named in universe as Zilla or Zilla Jr., as they couldn't replicate the 'god-like' abilities fully of the real Godzilla.
It would work as like a sub monster, like the skull crawler. A minor nuisance for Kong or Godzilla but a decent obstacle for any of the human characters in future movies.
Personally as a Zilla fan, no, I don't want some weak-ass canon-fodder zillas, any future zillas in new movies I'd much rather be based on Zilla Junior from the animated series. Now that'd be awesome IMO.

I know I missed some other kaiju/titans I just don't remember all the ones from comics.
Hell yes, it would be awesome to see this design in a modern monster movie as long as it's not something like the Zilla cameo in "Final Wars". But again: (God)Zilla in the 1998 movie is NOT a female.
@@majesticgothitelle1802 No, he isn't. In the animated series he is definitely male, he's described as such when he's revived as Cyber-Godzilla. I don't think males are capable of asexual reproduction in nature but we're talking about a fictional monster who was mutated by radiation here.
I'd like to imagine about 2 Zillas emerging from underground near Kong and him underestimating them at first until they unleash the green atomic breath. At that moment that would shock and catch Kong by surprise and also burn his front a bit. I'd like to see the Zillas strategize against Kong and even use their agility and spiked plates on their back as a form of attack. Would be awesome! Of course I see them not nearly as tall as Kong's height but I wouldn't see them as being short either so I'd say they would be about his chest height.
Nope he is just a Firey dinosaur variant, I won't consider him as Godzilla. Godzilla never dies to human being attacks also Godzilla never bow to humans and his technology. But Godzilla 1998 died to human attack. So by that it is just a dinosaur not Godzilla. PERIOD. There should be a pole or like vote thing, like what Game Theoriest did to show how badly he wanted to become a jeopardy host, and just show fans, like myself, how much we love zilla. She has her quirks but also she is a loveable character and just has that special spot in my heart.
My introduction to Godzilla was going into the living room at maybe 11pm, seeing my mom and dad on the couch watching Godzilla vs Destroyah. I watched with them in entertainment. I was 4. I remember a few years post to that only being able to watch Godzilla 1998 since it was free on Netflix. Hated it because of that since it was nothing like the Godzilla I loved. I didn’t really like the 2014 Godzilla at the time either. I’m 14, I was 5 when it came out, something I remember was that I never liked any Godzilla film outside of Heisei and millennium. I recently watched Godzilla 2014 and loved it. Watched the other monsterverse films when they came out in the theater. Loved them. My favorite Godzilla era has to be monsterverse mainly because the characters are more interesting solely because I’m able to understand what they’re saying, but also because it’s visually pleasing and ongoing as it hasn’t ended yet. Not sure why I’m writing this comment, but fsr I’m loving it😂brings me sm joy to type about something that I love.
Maybe Zilla could be a group of creatures in the Hollow Earth that either Godzilla or Kong fold like how Godzilla folded Zilla in the Final Wars 2004 movie. Still love that scene

Definitely a special feeling for Zilla. He still has a LOT of potential. Maybe if he comes across the blue energy source in the Hollow Earth, it might upgrade him in some way. That combined with his burrowing/digging abilities could make him an important character going forward.

Oh, I remember the 1998 Godzilla movie! It was my VERY FIRST introduction to the Godzilla franchise and I always have a special place in my heart for Zilla.
A good backstory would be that Zilla is a subspecies of Godzilla that evolved during the Kong vs Godzilla war to match the Kong’s speed and agility

I think having Zilla be a subspecies of Godzilla would work in the Monsterverse because you get to keep Zilla as a monster similar but weaker than Godzilla and her name would make total sense. They're from a similar line of monsters but different Godzilla being the stronger one is obviously named GODzilla and Zilla being similar but not as strong as Godzilla is why she has only Zilla as her name.
Probably, I mean Zilla has been getting a lot of respect since his appearance in Rulers of Earth. Titanus Zilla would be interesting, but only if it’s like the one from Godzilla the Series. No weak ass Kaiju.
There is one thing we can thank the 98 Godzilla for. If it wasn't for that movie Toho wouldn't have brought their version back. Without the 98 movie we might not have had the Legendary Godzilla movies.

I want to see Zilla be like this distant cousin to Godzilla that went the faster more agile rout, but since it lost all that bulk its not as tough or defensive and the smaller size means a smaller internal reactor so weaker atomic breath so that would give it the green fire breath.

Even if they reproduce quickly there's always predators picking off the young ones, similar to crocodiles in my opinion, i could see Zilla using mouth transport.
I understand people's dislike for Zilla, but after looking at Godzilla: The Series, everyone should give this monster a second chance to reappear in the future film. Plus, Zilla's design reminded me of a T-Rex, with Allosaurus-like arms, and dorsal plates just like that of a Stegosaurus.

I like it and the film. Though it didn't stay true to the toho films I found it made a good film that you could add to the Showa or heisei era (with a few flaws) and pretend that whenever they say Godzilla they say Zilla

The 1998 film of Godzilla is one of the biggest monster films from my childhood that's become one of my top favorite Godzilla movies ever, my mom was the one who showed it to me so you could say it's one of the very films that made me the Godzilla super fan I am today. I don't care if not everyone likes it or the way Godzilla looks in this film, I know what I like and this is definitely one of the many things that will remain in my heart forever. Please include the 1998 Godzilla in the Monsterverse so I can finally have a chance to see him again, nothing would make a Godzilla super fan like me happier, well except for seeing Mothra make another appearance again but for now this is something that most definitely grabs my attention as much as she does. It would be awesome to see zilla in the monsterverse especially his godzilla the series version and it would be an interesting thing to make it that zilla in the monsterverse is a ancient kaiju/titan species that was another rival species that hunted Kong's ancestors. Or they could make zilla a distant relative of godzilla's ancestors. Either way zilla would be a welcome addition to the monsterverse.

If Zilla was to be introduced in the monsterverse, I'd like the idea of it being set up as a crocodilian type creature, somewhere in the swamps of florida, mutated by a nuclear accident. Zilla always seemed less like an iguana and more like a croc/gator to me.

On Wattpad, I made a biography of an expansive of the 1998 Godzilla movie and the it animated tv show sequal which I dubbed The Tristar MonsterVerse which is heavily based on Legendary's MonsterVerse but it not just that, it's also contains elements from Godzilla Anime Trilogy, Godzilla Singular Point, etc along with other properties like the Gamera Series, other Toho movie monsters, and even Pacific Rim, it sequal Uprising, and the animated The Black. But sadly King Kong is not allowed as I place him in a separate Universe in my Cinos' Spinoff series.
I'd like this monster to come back maybe have people mistake the creature for Godzilla as a callback. Hopefully the distinction is made between Godzilla and Zilla as they are wildly different. Even in the 1998 animated which was better but the fighting style and behavior of the characters were different it's one of the main reasons I never considered him a Godzilla. He's still a cool monster though.
I remember the anime trilogy's book actually references that the Americans mistook Zilla for Godzilla. Ironically while Zilla was not among the strongest of the kaiju that appeared, it proved to be one of the most deadliest due to it's extremely fast birth rate, coupled with the amount of eggs a single Zilla can lay

And the thing with Zilla being killed by missiles seemed correct to me. This is why.
When most reptiles lay eggs they go through a shed so that their skin is more malleable and pliable to hold the eggs. What if that is what happened, and the only time Zilla is vulnerable physically is around the time the species begin to develop eggs, and after laying them till their skin hardens again.
Great theory! I didn’t know that & I’ve never seen anyone put forth that idea. Probably because they were too busy just hating on the movie. But that opens up the idea that G98 was normally much more resilient. This is my new head canon. Thanks!

Zilla and (almost) all of the monsters from the animated series could fit in MonsterVerse as species of Titans evolved from normal animals that chose or forced to move in and/or remain in Hollow Earth. I loved the main majority of monsters from the animated series.
Zilla JR has always been my absolute favourite Kaiju, I'd love to see a version of him on the big screen!

I say zilla would be a subspecies of godzilla's kind more speed, more agile, and more intelligent so I say zilla/gino should be in the monstervers
It would do well as a Subspecies or even an Juvenile form. Showing that Godzilla's bulk comes from him being an adult and being one for so long. If Zilla was introduce have him be fairly young built faster and more agile but less bulky and thus more vulnerable to other titans. This gives a huge backstory potential to godzilla because maybe the reason we see so few of his kind is it takes a long time to age up to be as big and as badass as he is and very few survived to this age.
It would mean that the Mega Godzilla we see in the Kong's throne room was the elder Godzilla, the oldest perhaps even godzilla's father or grandfather and explains that the Kongs and Godzilla's species wiped each other out more or less. With Kongs biggest specimens dying in the fighting and the smaller younger Kongs escaping to Skull Island only to be wiped out later. And Godzilla's species young being wiped out so they never got to their full sizes. (Chimps and the like do in fact go for young rival apes and kill them off for food and to remove a competitor)

Zilla got me into the franchise as a whole, so I cannot hate him as everyone else hates him. Then I watched Zilla Jr. in his cartoon and that just solidified my love for the big guy. The atomic breath, the cunning intelligence, the badassery against his opponents, there was the spirit of the King of Monsters.
He would absolutely fit in the Monsterverse, BUT, as long as they make Zilla a subspecies to Godzilla, AND give him the powers of Zilla Jr. Also keep the hints of his iguana physiology TYVM (makes him stand out).
Though, he'd need an opponent to fight to cement his spot in the roster...and I vote Battra, and Titanosaurus (at first). I say at first, and pardon me this is me being a HUGE Godzilla nerd, is because Titano wasn't an evil kaiju in his debut film, so it'd be funny & cool to see him fight Zilla, Battra, then team up with Zilla to put Battra down. Boom, Prince of the Monsters and his partner, of the New York prefecture.

Oooooo I just came up with a JUICY way they could make Zilla be a thing in the monsterverse:
French Monarch researchers developing a bioengineered monster of their own using DNA collected from Godzilla during one of his many battle over the years, radiation and a dash of Iguana (tying back to the origin of Zilla 98, the nukes that made him, the French government that tried burying it, and being a lizard before mutating.) To top it off, they could make it a thing where they experimented with making it imprint on one of the research staff, and its the lead reasearcher at that. Oh and their name? Dr. Tetopolus!!!
Side note, make it that its named in universe as Zilla or Zilla Jr., as they couldn't replicate the 'god-like' abilities fully of the real Godzilla.
It would work as like a sub monster, like the skull crawler. A minor nuisance for Kong or Godzilla but a decent obstacle for any of the human characters in future movies.
Personally as a Zilla fan, no, I don't want some weak-ass canon-fodder zillas, any future zillas in new movies I'd much rather be based on Zilla Junior from the animated series. Now that'd be awesome IMO.

Since Godzilla 1998 is in the GMK continuity, I like to think the survivor of the fishing vessel was thinking he actually saw the original Godzilla.

I'd like to imagine about 2 Zillas emerging from underground near Kong and him underestimating them at first until they unleash the green atomic breath. At that moment that would shock and catch Kong by surprise and also burn his front a bit. I'd like to see the Zillas strategize against Kong and even use their agility and spiked plates on their back as a form of attack. Would be awesome! Of course I see them not nearly as tall as Kong's height but I wouldn't see them as being short either so I'd say they would be about his chest height.

My introduction to Godzilla was going into the living room at maybe 11pm, seeing my mom and dad on the couch watching Godzilla vs Destroyah. I watched with them in entertainment. I was 4. I remember a few years post to that only being able to watch Godzilla 1998 since it was free on Netflix. Hated it because of that since it was nothing like the Godzilla I loved. I didn’t really like the 2014 Godzilla at the time either. I’m 14, I was 5 when it came out, something I remember was that I never liked any Godzilla film outside of Heisei and millennium. I recently watched Godzilla 2014 and loved it. Watched the other monsterverse films when they came out in the theater. Loved them. My favorite Godzilla era has to be monsterverse mainly because the characters are more interesting solely because I’m able to understand what they’re saying, but also because it’s visually pleasing and ongoing as it hasn’t ended yet. Not sure why I’m writing this comment, but fsr I’m loving it😂brings me sm joy to type about something that I love.
