I have a honey company and premier is my only authorized dealer for wood deeps ,supers or frames or apimaye depending on the case. I just put on a screened bottom and a migratory cover.
I still have it in original condition. Never used it. It’s too pretty. I did however get some of the wax dipped boxes from Natures Image Farm. Same basic design from Premier. Excerpt they are the advanced Propola Hive bodies. They are very nice. My goal is to start replacing my equipment as I need to with the Endurahive or Propla wax dipped boxes. They are durable, tough and beautiful. I really am a fan of wax dipped equipment and the folks as Natures image farm have it figured out.
I’d say-great design and look. Great job. For me though, I have trouble with pine wood. It’s not a good wood for outdoor use. I’ve used them for decades and have now switched to Cedar. Even for frames-I now use Oak wood. I understand that the Flow Hives are not for all people-but talk about an exceptional hive! Australian Cedar-Laser cut, and mold and fungus resistant.
I have 100s of standard boxes. Definitely not stronger. I am stocked for awhile but when I need more boxes I plan to give these a try. If I find something I like I share it with folks. If people want to buy it. Fine. If not. Then that’s ok too. Thanks for watching.
I think so but it really depends on each person’s situation. I plan to try some when I order more boxes. I am actually pretty well stocked for now. Couldn’t hurt to try a couple and see what you think.
I can't believe you suckered me in to this.....but it's Premier. I couldn't help it

What beautiful clear pieces of pine they use in those bodies. Thanks for sharing this with us, Bruce.
Yep Love me some dovetails I don't have to cut.
Thanks for sharing the info on the hive boxes and for the 10% discount code!!
Nice boxes from premier, love that logo on there. Can’t wait to get a few and give them a try.
Thanks for the video, how did you finish the box? Paint, stain, oil, wax?

Great looking box, nice idea for the end grain.
Yes. They are elite.
Beautiful well built boxes that are super easy to build. Very nice. Thanks for sharing. Take care.
Yes. I hope to incorporate these boxes into my operation when I need them. They are awesome!
Nice little product feature video Bruce!
Great boxes. They really did think of everything.
Nice looking boxes.
They look great, brilliant design. Hope we can get them in the UK

Sounds good. If I get to the point of ordering more of these I will probably try to wax dip them. I love my wax dipped boxes.
I would still put protective coating to seal the wood..
Yes that is necessary for longevity.
Wow it's a box.
These boxes are stout. I really liked the blind dovetail joint, there is zero racking of the box once the joint is set.
So much of beekeeping media is about moving product. FWIW a true dovetail box is stronger.

The new Dove trail design and frame rests are great. Now I'd like to point out the obvious. Look at the quality wood those boxes are made of
Absolutely.
im making rabbetted joints, glued and stapled ,but those are pretty,
I'm going to get some soon.

I am looking forward to getting more myself. Currently have a lot of equipment but as I grow I hope to start using these Pura Hives.
Can it you shipped it to Philippines? Thanks i would like to order. Thanks
I am not sure. Would have to contact the company in the link provided.
Are they worth the extra cost?

I much prefer the traditional standard box joint corners. The argument about less exposed endgrain is ridiculous
I guess everyone is entitled to their opinion. Thanks for watching.
Half blind dovetails hmmm.
A box within a box... Box-ception! Christopher Nolan would be proud 🤣
Half blind dovetails are super week
Not in this case. These joints are the opposite of weak.
