I think the interesting and bizarre thing is that she knows quite a lot about him despite meeting only awhile ago and even knowing how to play the same music on the piano.
Fun fact a deleted scene for this movie was Emily explaining that she saw him in the woods throughout his life and that’s why she gave Victor his beloved dog as a gift! There was definitely chemistry ❤️

They loved each other. Either way he shouldn’t be with Emily because she was a trapped spirit that needed to be free, not married. She needed to make peace and move on and that’s exactly what Victor helped her do. The best ending for Emily is resting in peace at last.
One of the things I really like about this scene is that to me you can literally feel the coolness of a night breeze, the quietness in the forest, everything illuminated by the moonlight. I feel as if I am Emily as the light fabric of my veil trails behind me, flowing with the breeze. She feels so free and it is something I wish to feel as well ...

Emily is as flawless as a snowflake, or a marble sculpture, as she flits about, singing her little melody there's a word used a lot in 19th century literature; it's the equivalent of the modern day 'kawaii'; 'winsome'. Emily is winsome, unspoilt, fresh...words fall short of describing her appeal.

And how she giggles and sings as she dances, and how she said “Perfect.” and “Okay.”, and her giggle as Victor said no peeking. She really is the cutest thing, and loves Victor. Completely trusts him and adores him. Even after all she’s been through, she’s loving and trusting and so happy. She takes nothing for granted. And I love how they made her graceful, yet still a bit clumsy. Because that gives her more in common with Victor.☺️ She really is a lively person. And although I’m upset with Victor for lying to her, you can look at his face before she falls and see that he really felt bad about it. Although I am confused what he would have done. Marry Victoria even though he’s married, go off and move on with her, and just, leave Emily there for years? What was the plan? Was he hoping she would say Hopscotch by mistake and leave without him? And then he would just never say Hopscotch again? Was that the plan?
This part make me rly sad, because you can clearly see that Emily was still young and had so much to live for. She got her life taken away from her so early...

This movie has been my favorite ever since I was a child. I watch it frequently and the older I got, the more I understood about life and death. After my cat died on 3/3/22, she was only 1.5 years old and had kidney failure.. I came back to this movie and this scene in particular made me sob.. it hits so differently when you lose something/someone precious to you. Emily reminded me of my cat, how she would enjoy being alive and happy by the little things in nature but she is dead… she was such a sweet cat that never attacked anyone & instead would run and hide away. She would give me kisses at night and in the morning. She would also head butt me as to show affection. God i miss her so much..
When I see her dancing makes me under her spell it feels like I will do the same thing what she did dancing in the night with the beautiful moonlight and I can see how happy she is seeing her happy makes me happy but tears of joy💙💙💙💙💙💙

They did kissed it just happened off-screen. Remember the part where Victor 1st met her and he was running away from her through the woods and then stopped by the bridge as Emily surprised him and backs up Victor to the railing and put her hands on his shoulders and said "You May Kiss The Bride" and you can clearly see her lean in towards Victor for a kiss and then it fades to black. Implying that she kissed him and then Victor passed out unconscious from the horror and the shock.
I love turning the sound off and simply watching Victor's reaction to Victoria's parents talking about strangling him. It's funny to watch him go from suspicious to panicked
It surprised me that Emily didn’t think about visiting her own parents, especially since she ran away with her mother’s wedding dress to marry a stranger after her father said no.
