Thank you for this video. While others complain about you talking too fast or that the video is not for a beginner, i have to say that is why you can pause and go back. I think overall you great!
Really liked this . I've tried several other tutorials of this stitch and this was very clear. I did rewind and rewatch the turns at the ends several times.
I love this stitch and your tutorial! I'm sorry you've had so many negative comments. I guess they don't know how to slow down the speed, pause, back up or skip ahead. I didn't catch the mistake with the sc vs the hdc. There could have been a note on the screen or in the description regarding it but I did a full dishcloth and it isn't too noticeable. I am a beginner and found your video so useful. I've watched so many other videos that I could not follow at all! Thank you for your video!!
I too have been crocheting for about 40 years and still call myself a beginner, this was my first time ever trying this stich and I had no problem. I had to replay it a few times to make sure my stitches were in place with yours but over all you did a wonderful job! Thank you!!
I was just about to make a comment about how fast this video is and that it’s not really for beginners, but I see so many have already made similar comments. So instead I would just like to say, that you seem like you really know what you’re doing. But please take the advice from the commenters so that others can know what you’re doing. Beautiful stitch work by the way.
I know this video is a couple years old, I found it today and I've been able to follow along the whole time, although I am a visual learner. Loved it, thank you.
On the end of row 2, when I get to the last stitch, your say to do a single crochet, but I see you doing 1 half double crochet. Which is it? I keep coming out with the wrong amount of stitches.
You said sc at the end of row 2 but you did a half double. You also say in the beginning of the 3rd to yarn over and pull through even though you didn’t do that. Very confusing for a beginner
This stitch is count by 2 and add 1 at the end. 2nd stitch from the hook and you should have 6 loops on your hook and you crochet thru the last post of the star before you crochet thru the chain the star is attached too. I'm sorry, your pattern is off alil.
Very frustrating to try and follow. Your second row was not explained well and done way too fast. I ripped my work out way too many times trying to follow you. Sorry. Not a fan on this one.
Thank you for this video.

I'm a beginner, and I'm doing great! Love this pattern.
Thank you! This is the clearest star stitch video I’ve seen 🙌 I am a real beginner and this was so easy to follow!
wow, this tutorial is wonderful. I was so intimidated by this stitch. Thank you for your tutorial. I can do this!!!!!
Lovely stitch, great tutorial. Very easy to follow....there is a pause and rewind people!
Really liked this . I've tried several other tutorials of this stitch and this was very clear. I did rewind and rewatch the turns at the ends several times.
I Just find you tutorial, and I plan to see them all. To bad you are not doing any more tutorials. Good luck in whatever you are doing.
I noticed at the end of row 2 she said to place one single crochet to end but she clearly used a half double crochet.

That was an awesome tutorial. So easy to follow. Thank you so much.
I'm a beginner and had no trouble at all following this tutorial. It's called pause, people. 🙄 Thanks for showing me how to do this pretty stitch! 💜

I'm trying to learn all the stitches that can be used when making dishcloths/washcloths! Thank you for teaching me the Star Stitch!
Oh my...I love this stitch and the fabric it makes. Thank you.👍😊
Excellent tutorial

Great tutorial! Thank you, and God bless!
Love this stitch! Making hand towels for the bathroom and this stitch is perfect fur that - thank you!
Pretty, thank you. I’m late to the party🎉. Lol.
nice tutorial, thanks for posting .... mine turned out great
Where did you get your ring? I like it. Video is fast in some areas. Need to show a few more times in a row
On the end of row 2, when I get to the last stitch, your say to do a single crochet, but I see you doing 1 half double crochet. Which is it? I keep coming out with the wrong amount of stitches.
so sorry it should be the half double crochet
Thank you!
Where can I find this written pattern. Great pattern but you go to fast.
Great tutorial...TFS!
End of row 2 you did a half double crochet, not a single crochet as stated.
On the second row she says do lastly do a single crochet but does a half double crochet. Which is it
You said sc at the end of row 2 but you did a half double. You also say in the beginning of the 3rd to yarn over and pull through even though you didn’t do that. Very confusing for a beginner
I have crocheting for over 40 years and this video was way to fast for me. I was able to figure it out but a beginner would have a hard time.
You can slow videos down on you tube.....click on the gear and choose the speed you want.
good day i really like your teaching it is easy to follow thanks very much
Quick I donot get it ! In the 1st row
Video is too fast and is a little difficult to follow with the speed of the video.
Do you block this?
Talking way fast
Wow that was a long intro. Too long. Way too long. Oh, and don’t title this as beginner. It’s not the way you did it.
Oh brother!
if this is for beginner, why do you speed it up so fast so that a beginner cannot follow your hook action? ridiculous
Way too fast..too much shadows
My opinion this is not a video for a beginner, video goes way too fast!!
I agree with you, not for beginners,
A bit complicated for a dishcloth... and your hand is covering the stitch....
That’s not a single...that’s a half double to finish that row.
Too quick to follow
Totally agree GEZZZZZZ!
That’s a hd not a sc
Wow ! Not for beginner the way you crochet ! I kept going over and over your lines and got so frustrated and tore it apart. Looking else where !
@ "ALL'OVER YARN" Channel"🥇✔👏👏

You are too fast. For a beginner it’s hard to follow
I like but your video is so dark I can't see what you are doing
Terrible. Way to fast. Not explained good at all. Sorry.
You work too fast for me to follow, sorry, can’t work with you,,😡
You talk wayyyyy too fast
Talks way to fast and works to fast
Very frustrating to try and follow. Your second row was not explained well and done way too fast. I ripped my work out way too many times trying to follow you. Sorry. Not a fan on this one.
NOT done in a beginner-friendly way and saying the wrong stitch too - you should have deleted this video
You’re beginning is TO LONG
You can skip 10-20 seconds at a time and I thought it was cute. But everyone has different opinions.
