Algae disappeared from natural wonders of Pink Lake 🩷 Australia 🇦🇺🇱🇰

Pastel pink beauty comes as a surprise.
What you will find about these lakes in that they are very salty. This makes perfect habitat for an algae that is super adapted to live only in extremely salty conditions.
When the water and weather conditions are met, algae produces pink or red catenoids (basically a filter like a pair of sunglasses to protect their chlorophyll cells and help photosynthesis) which give the lake its pink colour.
