- A Japanese convenience store, or as we call it, “Conbini / Konbini,” is an everyday part of life for Japanese people. Today, I’m taking Silvie from the U.S. to see what unique aspects she notices as a foreigner.

Artifical flavors do taste amazing sing it realsitc queen
300 yen is a little under 2 US dollars, which is one of the worst conversion rates the yen has had with the American dollar (USD). Of course it fluctuates, but in recent years it's about 150 yen to 1USD. So if Silvie's meal was around 800 yen or under it would be 5USD or less. I lived in Japan for 9.5 years until the end of 2024, and the cost of living is quite a lot lower in Japan than it is in the US so it's very easy to get a good meal from a convenience store in Japan for a very affordable price. That being the case it's funny that Silvie gets such an old man's meal haha. I enjoyed getting mabodofu from my local Family Mart

That is wild I did not expect Japan to have "dip". Is the tobacco in pouches? It is very common here in TX. Do you spit or is it "spitless"?
Here in America there's a very big push to get rid of all the artificial colorings and flavors as they make you sick.
I was wondering if there are options that are healthy such as no artificial ingredients or colors maybe very little sugar. And if possible no Soy.
We have found Soy is estrogenic and metabolised as an artificial estrogen in the body to the point that long term consumption can even feminise features in males. A derogatory term for that is "soy boy". I wonder if the over use of soy maybe at least 1 reason for declining birth rates.

These ones are more rooted in Swedish snus (look it up) than dip, snus is quite different to the american dip and is pasteurised and spitless. The more modern products like zyn and so on don't actually contain tobacco leaf, they contain filler materials like wood fiber infused with nicotine.
Soy doesn’t do that. If it did, cultures who have consumed soy in large amounts historically would be all …women? By now? Don’t spread that disinformation here.
