YESSSSS A VIDEO PRAISING MY BABY!! No, because as a maleknights player, units like Wanqing are positively coveted due to the general lack of male buffing units! He's a lot like Qanipalaat and Tequila where he's so good as a free option that it genuinely baffles me that more people don't raise/recommend raising them over pulling for gacha operators because of how fantastically they fulfill their roles. I especially love pairing him with units like Gnosis and Ayerscarpe and he makes for excellent support for dreadnoughts and musha often providing a little extra hp to help with their survivability while also being a great source of remote healing for dreadnoughts since healing options for male operators are so limited. Just such a wonderful vanguard, I've ended up bringing him around with me over Elysium more than a few times just because his utility is a bit more general than Ely's (though Ely is still premiere for debuff support). Genuinely made my day to see this vid come up
Funny that you say this, I have both Qanipalaat and Tequila at e2 and boy they carried my arse in IS a lot. And I have Mlynar and the strongest Casters XD
@@owo4470 He's both! His s2 also gives a 20% attack speed boost for the units in his range plus his talent passive provides a base hp% boost to your units in addition to his healing! So yeah, buffer and a healer
Hey that maleknights thing is a good point. I might mention a report on such affairs next questionnaire. They've been better on what I reported previously. Also, the positioning thing makes him different from an aspd bard. Which I thought a nice touch.
what this video doesn't take into account while talking about myrtle is that she is very self sustaining. just deploy her in the corner of a map and she'll be alive, slowly healing damage if she gets shot by ranged enemies. she's as no brain as it gets.
The AK server downplays Myrtle too but people forget that she’s very cheap to invest in compared to other flag bearers. Personally speaking FBs in general are kinda weird in my “high level” account that’s been going on for years. By the time I reached multiple E2s with multiple masteries I never really think of using their second skill because I just want them to print out DP faster. I cba if Wanqing has an aspd boost or Ely has reveal at S2. I just want them to print the DP with S1 so they can quickly get the heavy hitters out.
Homie has sat behind my Flametail (with S3) since the day he arrived. I barely replace those two in my strategies because of the ASPD buff and self-sustain synergy. Flametail has high-amounts of dodge with module (and hits again on dodge proc when in S3), and she's a 9-cost deploy. If the lane gets tight, Wan pops his S2, Flametail pops S3 (Becomes a three block centurion that usually attacks 2-3x as much if the enemies miss... and each attack is to all blocked enemies, so it's a free 6-9 hits with ATK boost from Flametail's S3). The lane is held so well and produces enough DP to drop others to cover another lane quite well (Prior to this strat, Kal'Tsit was the solution for this strategy type, but I gain nothing from Kal'tsit like I get in DPs or early-dropping from WanTail.
What a coincidence, I actually litteraly E1 Wanginq yesterday for RA. Even though I was aware of his atk speed boost, your video gave me a new perspective about his hp boost, which I didn't find too interesting before. I think the reason I alway use myrtle over elysium (except in RA where I use both), is because she turns Flametail into a self sustaining laneholder. Although recently, I try to avoid using either of them and try to stick with lower rarity pioneers and chargers. Makes the game more fun and challenging. Great video btw!

And then people just kinda nonchalantly trash on him and forget about him. When at worst he's a welfare sidegrade, which is pretty decent for a welfare flagbearer

Completely ignoring Myrtles sustain talent isnt a good idea at all, normally you dont use the vanguards for healing or even have them that close to your units that would benefit from max hp increase so the actual bonus comes from the +25 aspd increase, that should been the part video focused on, its a very strong buff that applies to all units but the value of buffs and espiecelly aspd ones got diluted over time with strength of newer units and Ammo being such strong mechanic that doesnt interact well with aspd.
Overall hes good as all flagbearers are but wouldnt rate him higher than Elysium, he is definitely underrated tough as many people assume hes worse than Myrtle when he isnt, his buff is much better and his dp gen is similarly better, the overrating of Myrtle really hurt his appeal sadly.
