It took us approximately 6 weeks to complete, originally comprised of over three and one half hours of video, and cost a little over $1100 in total. Oops hit the wrong thing, anyways.. did a lil research on pop ups not nearly as much as I shld have lol, So my thought was to buy something I cld fix up an make my own,for the most part it'll just me an my 2furbabies(occ..friend/grandkids) long story shorter I bought a 97 jayco e series and just started gutting it out minus one counter, i primed an painted it put new flooring in which was he** the floor was uneven so my nice waterproof vinyl planks wldnt stay down so had to buy roll of vinyl but thats For another segment lol, my question to you is if you know how i could repair a tear that is on the canvas down where the rubber part thats screwed to the box, its now about 31/2 in long and I noticed the other side is doing the same, both sides of the door frame. I do have a tension cord I go by but it might be stretched out? Cause this last time i popped it up i cldnt crank it anymore an the tension cord wasn't tight so obviously I don't go by that anymore an just crank it down 3/4 of a turn so it isnt stressed but of course its a lil too late, I dont want to put that amount of money to buy a new canvas for it as it wldnt be worth it (I suspect it was in an accident).. I'd appreciate any advice or ideas..

    Without removing our slide out and cabinets, how did you get in between the cabinet and seating?

    • @ItsPoppin
      @ItsPoppin  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ours had a large enough opening to scoot through with the slideout closed, however, your milage may vary.

    What flooring did you use ? Why didn’t you take the cupboards/cabinets out? Have you every put contact paper on the cupboards instead of paint ?

    • @ItsPoppin
      @ItsPoppin  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a click together vinyl plank. It's a "floating floor" therefore you cannot install cabinets over top just like in a house. The answer to the last question is no.

    Halp!! So I just finished all our curtains, and I’m about to start figuring out our valances! Ours had none, and we have the different clips. I didn’t want that gathered look, I wanted flat/modern… we only have tracks on the front (door) and rear (kitchen) side. Yours go all the way around, what did you do for yours?

    • @ItsPoppin

    • @voodoomistris
      @voodoomistris 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ItsPoppin well I’m not sure if it’s supposed to! Our used 96’ didn’t have any valances left, but there’s double tracks for the front and back areas? Yours go all the way around! Been looking for stock pictures but never seem to find the right angle!

  • @peanutblast2709
    @peanutblast2709 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    By chance, have you ever just taken out the sink area and made another couch area/storage? We don’t really cook or wash inside.

    • @ItsPoppin
      @ItsPoppin  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, we've never done that, but it's definitely not uncommon. I've heard the interior cabinets provide structural integrity for the camper walls, which makes sense. So definitely build out the couch if you decide to go that route. This also may reduce resale value if that's an issue.

    Question??? We love our 3611 Starcraft highwall with Slide Dinette but at night in Colorado we just want to come inside and sit in a recliner and read or watch TV. The sitting area is not comfortable at all and we hate just laying in bed. So here is the question. We want to remove the Dinette to the floor and replace it with dual recliners. Do you know anybody that has done that to a pop up with a slide? We've measured and know a dual RV recliner will fit in width of the slide and the backs are removable so you can push in your slide in. Your thoughts?

    • @ItsPoppin
      @ItsPoppin  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds like a cool project. Two things to be cognizant of: 1. Any added weight from the recliners and 2. The decreased structural support in the walls of the slide out.
      Regarding number one, be sure the pop up and your tow vehicle are rated for any extra weight. Regarding number two, the seat bases/cabinets do provide structural rigidity to the slide out box, which may be compromised if you remove them.

    • @richardocain8299
      @richardocain8299 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ItsPoppin yea we are ordering RV Recliners so mount on slider also adding slider mounts on the outside of slider. Slider is rated 600 but don't like to push it.
