Great video, one addition would be that if you like sampling, you can drag a sample onto a new audio track, then split the audio where you want (for example with split at grid), then highlight all your slices, right click, go to audio and choose send to new impact. This will create a new instance of impact and spread your chops across the pads automatically.

THERE'S SO MANY BUTTONS, It's very very intimidating to someone who's never touched software like this before.
Thank you sooo much, I just got Studio one 6.5 and updated it to 6.6 and I love using it. I have the Native Instruments Mikro MK 3 controller and I can finally use it with Impact XT!!!
Also you can link the channels to tracks so they can be moved independently and also the volume sliders in the track view. You link them in the inspector where it says channel. Thanks for the great video once again.
This is great for me. I am new to DAWs and Studio One was my choice after sampling some of the other brand DAWS out there. You really breakdown the function and features of Impact XT in a concise manner that is quick but easy to follow. I learned a lot from watching this video and operating Impact as the video played. Thanks this really helps a lot. I realize I can use a pad with a 16bar drum loop wav file and set it to "loop - toggle" and use it as a drum beat then toggle it off as needed. I can then set a different 16bar loop on a different pad and do the same. This is great for verse/chorus/outro. I can see lots of possibilities for playing live and improvising. I might even be good practice to set all the long drum loops on bank B so you don't accidentally toggle off or on by accident. I get it now!

i loooove the impact that thing is the very reason i decided to go PreSonus : allmost nothing is there you cannot do with it like you demosntrate even playing chords and other sounds it can be used for ...you by the way got a new sub bro
Could you please help me connect the Impact XT Pads button presses to Keyboard alphabet buttons of the computer, so as to not use mouse every time I want to press a sound on the pad.

When I drag and drop it doesn’t work and I don’t have any patches I can auto load like you did . Has something of mine not installed or something ? Has me really down that I got all this stuff and can’t do anything with it cause it’s not working .I have a 2013 Mac book pro , could that be the problem ?
Hey guys, do you know why IMPACT XT will not let me overdub? For example, if I record kick and snare in one go, it will allow it, but if I record a kick stop the session and then try to record snare record over the kick. And I don’t hear the kik at all. Can someone please help. I hope my explanation makes sense. Thank you.

where you selected " 60s a GO GO I only have a list of drum kits. is it because I have Artist only?
Nothing is showing under default when I click the tab. None of those options are appearing. What am I doing wrong?
