I’ve had a spigen for my iPhone 11 Pro Max and I noticed it yellowed really quick, but it was only noticeable when it had a light or sun shine on it a certain way. I’m afraid of that with the 12 pro Max one.

Thank you your video was very helpful i was using the spigen liquid crystal for my iphone 12 pro max i accidentally scratched it while cleaning my case with alcohol wipes and looking for a replacement. I will be getting the Ringke one due to the matt back.
Great choice. The Spigen has a TPU bumper so it is susceptible to yellowing over time. You can clean the case of oils and be mindful of exposure to UV from the sun to limit the yellowing. If you want a case that exhibits zero yellowing it would need to be a more rigid PC case like the Apple clear case, but that also has its cons. Thanks for watching! 🙏
I’ve used so many Spigen cases over the years, they have variances of fit on all their clear cases. Liquid crystal, ultra hybrid, quartz hybrid, etc... The worst thing with a tight fit is not only removal but the possibility of marring the surface if there is grit in between the case and phone, especially iPhones with their highly polished SS. I went with the Spigen Liquid Crystal for my 12 Pro Max. I wanted the hybrid but Amazon didn’t have any in stock. Might still get the hybrid quartz version looks very durable.
I have the OtterBox Symmetry and Gear4 Crystal Palace clear cases. I think both may provide slightly better protection than the cases reviewed here. Although I like both cases, the very tiny scratches on the back are impossible to avoid and of course fingerprint smudges are common.

I use the ESR clear case on my iPhone 12. I love that it has extra thickness/padding on the corners. Great drop protection with raised edges on the back front and camera area. It feels light in hand and all buttons work well and will wireless charge.

I just got the Torras crystal clear for my 12 pro but the buttons aren’t very clicky… Also it has a blue tint to it which I don’t really mind but just a heads up for anyone wondering.
A case I want to try is the Mous Clarity. That has their drop protection but has Black around the edges and the clear back. That one appeals to me when you can get it for a decent price.

The Apple MagSafe clear case still looks great. I really can’t observe any scratches, almost like it has a self-healing finish. It’s hard to describe but although it’s a hard case it has a soft touch. Only cracks are the micro fractures near the bottom that I pointed out in the video. Still slippery 🙃 Thanks for watching! 🙏

Anything with softer TPU side bumpers will have a tendency to yellow, some more than others. If you want to avoid yellowing, Apple is the only game in town. FWIW, the Spigen is a great case and held up well. Thanks for watching! 🙏
That will be a concern with any case. Be mindful when removing and replacing the case being careful to blow away any dust with canned air and keeping the case and phone as clean as possible.
Which is the Grippiest of all these? I've been using a Speck Candyshell which has rubber on the case for grip but they dont make it anymore with that rubber. I'd like a clear case but they phone is so heavy that I can't handle a slippery case...Thanks!
Oh! I have used some of the elago stylus and really like the quality. I had no idea they made cases. Thank you for including them, and for such in depth reviews on each case here. As a disabled person who is both very clumsy and on a very tight budget I am very grateful for your time, attention to detail and honesty in this video. Subscribing now! While I’m not sure the elago clear case is for me, specifically, I would still highly recommend checking out their metal stylus series. We have the triangular one and octagon with replaceable tips.. they are great as they have a nice weight to them, tips last a long while and they don’t roll off the table (so long as you don’t get a perfectly round one).. off to think about which clear case I’ll go with, and again, thanks for the video!

Is the matte on the fusion supposed to be on the outside only or inside and out? Because I had to get mine replaced because the matte was on the inside while being glossy on the out which kept fingerprints. And now I’m confused cause I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be matte on both sides
With either the visibility of the sides should be identical. The back of the case matte and better matches the frosted glass of the Pro models. Thanks for watching!
I’m gonna take a chance on the Elago because of it’s minimalist style. Reviews on Amazon say it yellows after just two weeks but it’s only $5.99. If I have to throw it away after a few weeks then it’s not a biggie because of the price. If these cheaper clear cases don’t satisfy me I’ll just cough up the $50 bucks for the iPhone case.
It’s thin but since it’s made entirely of TPU it will have a tendency to yellow over time. The Apple clear case is the only one that will not yellow since it’s made of PC. BUT, there are other drawbacks to the Apple case so YMMV. Thanks for watching! 🙏

My Elago case doesn’t exhibit what I would consider abnormal loosenes on either side. It is a thin case and no rigidity, could it be that’s what you’re experiencing?

help. I received the ringke fusion matte clear case but the back is glossy not matte, the matte part is on the inside part of the case. why is it different from the one in the video?
The version of the Ringke Fusion Matte shown in this video is the exact opposite. The inside (back) part of the case is glossy but the outer back is matte. Is the one you bought the same one linked in the description below? Hope Ringke didn’t change the design because it’s a great case. Maybe there was some production error or variance?
I got a 2 pack clear case from Amazon for 4$ and there just like the apogee case looks identical has hard back and rubber sides and has the bubbles on the corner and buttons are clicky and it fits snug it’s difficult to remove from the phone from the case

I picked up the Quartz Hybrid for the scratch resistance of the tempered glass, but can’t really go wrong with Spigen in general.

Only the Apple case is known not to yellow because it is polycarbonate. I’m not aware of any other PC case on the market.

I got a 2 pack clear case from Amazon for 4$ and there just like the apogee case looks identical has hard back and rubber sides and has the bubbles on the corner and buttons are clicky and it fits snug it’s difficult to remove from the phone from the case

It’s Apple’s Classic Buckle leather strap, I don’t think they offer it anymore, but there are similar straps on Amazon.

Curious to know your opinion on the Speck perfect clear range!
They fit way too tight, feel like they’ll damage the phone when fitting and removing.
The Apple clear case seems nice, but I heard that it scratches the sides if you tend to remove it often!
And the power buttons and volume buttons suck to use. Especially if you use Apple Pay.

Are hard cases hard to remove?
They can be more tricky to remove than the softer cases but I haven’t found any that gave me too much trouble.
