Recently, our CEO, Dara Khosrowshahi, invited drivers and delivery people to sit down for a candid conversation about topics including safety on the road, earnings, and Uber’s new proposal to enhance the quality and security of independent work.
Why don't you invite me to tell the truth? They pay crumbs less than $ 1 a mile. bad treatment in the support service .. raise the rates pay what is fair not the alms, a homeless person earns more money than us
If you get a trip that takes you out of state guess what? You have to pay for TOLLS & GAS!! I am only a night time driver. You should have looked for a real driver in DC because this person is sugar coating DC
Any camera system suitable for the drivers and passengers that can br given to drivers for a reasonable price ! Instead of investing in driverless cars !
I think uber should pay for the drivers to pick up clients when the request is to far.in south carolina sometimes I have request 16 miles way and when I get there the client going only 3 miles way and I only get paid for the 3 miles.
This is a huge factor out here in Southeastern Washington, too, especially with Uber Eats, where I may have to drive 6-9 miles to pick up food, but then the delivery point is only 0.5 miles away, or even less. The amount I make from trips like that don't even cover the combined cost of fuel and regular maintenance (go through a lot of oil changes). So I opt out of it because even during this "pandemic," Uber Eats is being smoked by Door Dash in my area, as the local restaurants use Door Dash, and it's only the massive chains like McDonald's, Burger King, and Denny's who are using Uber. I did the math at the end of a full day's work doing only Uber Eats, and after my operational expenses, I had $0.03 profit. That ain't worth it, not by a long shot. Compare that to UberX and UberXL rides, where at the end of a good night, I can come home with $150 to $200 of profit after operational expenses.
Pay what is fair: a rider arrives in New Orleans, Louisiana at the airport. I get this rider and push start. This rider when to Hammond, Louisiana which was 1hr away. We get there and come to find out her friends gave her the wrong address. I didn't turn off my app and i didn't want to leave this young lady in the middle of the country. Finally they give her the correct address and its uptown back in New Orleans Louisiana. But this time it's 1hr and 20min. Once the right was finish. I pulled off and checked how much the over 2hr ride was and it was only $21 and some change. I called uber and they gave me an extra $20. That ride was supposed to be at least $85 or more. If i would have left her in Hammond Louisiana. I would be in the wrong especially when they're no ubers in that area. I just want Uber to be fair. Because our time and gas is being used. Thx for listening
That's why I simply decline any pick up request that is beyond 10 mn drive or beyond 5 miles. Uber would say "pick up premium likely" but you never see that premium. So my trick is to just decline any long pick up request and don't worry about acceptance rate going down.
Because Uber care about only customer leave at door or something what about us? we going inside building used elevators and who care about us if if got corona ? do not expect fairness or understanding from this company because it is ruled by a greedy person

After all the fuel costs and the wear and tear on your car, don’t expect to net a living wage with Uber. Just do a couple of runs a day to make beer money, then go home.
I have 5 years and over 20,000 rides under my belt in a Midwest city... NONE of these people represent me. You chose people with ridiculous concerns that wouldn’t challenge the CEOs positions. Let me know when you want to talk to a REAL driver, not ones in DC with 200 rides.
I don’t think he wants a piece of our mind either(95% of UBER drives pretty much). Honestly I have never met a UBER driver who told me that he is killing it and making tons $$$$$ and having the time of his life. LOL! This is just a publicity stunt to draw attention away from the court rulings. Empty show off by a CEO trying to gain fake Browny points. Issues like fare %, , long pick up premiums ( which you hardly get), PPE supplies( which I never received till date) will not interest him. I went 28 miles to pickup someone in a remote location, only to find four riders ( UBER says take three only now due to COVID 19) and two without masks. I politely inform them and they try to blackmail me into taking them or they will cancel; which I did for them. They shouted profanities and slammed my doors so hard. God! I have kids at home and I want to protect me and the next customer who comes in the car. The trip doesn’t even show in the history, so I cannot even contact support to request a review. No way to find phone agent even on the emergency lines anymore. I drove 60 miles at peak time on a Saturday for what I ask, risking my health. The list goes on and on. UBER wants us to disinfect the car just once in the morning and once in the evening when we park. What kind of sanitation advice is this? So they are OK with 25 riders that I give rides to touching the same handles and accept the risk. I know it’s hard to clean after every ride but I DO IT, as I pick so many older patients from the hospitals and I care about their safety and health. Btw, I am buying my own disinfectants which are so hard to find in the first place. UBER, is all talk no action. They cannot even procure supplies at a store for us to go buy at-least one bottle a week. Yet they keep writing messages about great works they are doing to protect us and riders. I spend hours from store to store trying to find non bleach disinfectant, as I cannot use just anything on leather seats and where people are to be sitting. App needs updates in many areas like stops, restarting a trip by accidental cancel etc. Worst of all UBER does not even deposit your full earnings into your account and always take away another 10-20 USD and till date I have sent so many messages to customer support when that was possible and never received a solution. This is on top of the high percentage they already take. Imagine! Make 100 in a small town driving the full 12 hours( 15+ in real time ), pay 20 gas, think about taxes and maintenance ( 10-15 per 100 bucks earned On average), Uber will steal 1-2 on deposit, you can do rest of the math as I think I am better of being illiterate seeing this. This message is in public interest and maybe he can read and maybe even just look into some of it which I doubt. I drive sincerely to take my things of other things and help people, I cannot even imagine how someone can actually make a living out of this driving is smaller towns. Do something!!
Why would Uber allow a convicted felon for armed robbery an account. Uber should screen riders as well. Also too many people get into my car carrying marijuana. I need to be able to cancel a ride and still get paid a cancellation fee if a rider violation of community guidelines is the cause of cancelling.
Was the person currently being convicted (for lack of better wording)? Or did they already serve their time? I think that makes a difference. Everyone deserves another chance, especially when convicted felons can no longer find work in a day and age where you must have consistent work to survive, but only after you serve your time. At least that's my opinion.
Was the Marijuana medical?? Do you drink alcohol or buy it from the store and drive it home?? Are they from out of state where they can legally cross borders to other states legally carrying medical cannabis.
I agree with you... nowdays they give you 2orders driving 9miles and they pay you $7 for both trips sometimes you get $ 1.80 for a 3mls trip this is crazy

For safety, all passengers should be required to provide absolute ID just as drivers do. No fake profile names, no changing phone numbers to avoid a ban. Upload a copy of your government issued ID.
I've also shown up and some drunk parents are pushing their minor kids in the car to send them to another family members and they're trying just to send the minor kids only, they're not coming along. I always say "Nope" when this happens. Believe it or not I've experienced it about 15 times. Humanity sinks lower daily. Great parenting. 👎
Exactly! One night, I got a request from someone named “Hustle”. I canceled it. I was not picking up anyone named “Hustle”, especially late at night! Safety first. If I feel uncomfortable, it’s a no!
I am a driver from India(Chennai). 4yrs driving with uber. My concern is uber is always for the customers and not for the drivers. I work for 16 hours a day and still earning lessthan 2500 INR thats too before the covid pandamic. diesel price is 78 rupees per litre and you are giving us 8 rupees(without rise for 4yrs straight) per km. Even autorickshaw in here have a basic rate of 12 rupees per km. We have to take care of our family. Rent. Car emi. Insurance all with this earning. You guys without a sweat taking 20% as commission and another 6% + 1% as tax I kindly request you to consider my plea as all the drivers in India to raise the rate. Customer is our business but without driver there is no customer. So pls let the driver live. Thank you
This really speaks to me as a full time Uber driver, even over here in the US. Earnings per mile needs to fluctuate with gas prices so we aren't totally screwed when gas prices increase 20% or more. It's not just gas we need to pay for, either, but also oil changes, tire replacement, new brake pads, etc. We put A LOT of distance on our vehicles, and if we earn only enough to maintain our vehicle and buy a new one every 10 years, there's nothing left for other expenses in our lives. I don't know about India, but fortunately here in the US, we can write off our miles when doing taxes as a business expense, and that saved me a ton of money. Unfortunately, I couldn't write off the 4 new tires, 4 new brake pads, 6 new spark plugs, 6 new ignition coils, the new air filter, 2 new headlight bulbs, 3 new windshield wipers (2 front, 1 rear), and the labor to have all that stuff removed and installed. I may also need work on the transmission, soon, and my car is only 6-years-old. And then there's the cost of oil changes and new oil filters, which I have to get every 2-3 months due to the amount of miles I'm putting on the car.
@@Gottaculat thank you for sharing. Here we dont have law like yours. We even dont have rules for cab aggregators so that they dont follow the labour law. Due to that they compel the drivers to work long time with a little earnings

Dara should talk to drivers without a script. We are real people.. not just a number on a piece of paper. Drivers need a pay increase! Bring back 80/20! We also need more driver safety. Make riders provide real names and pictures. Not to mention some kind of hazard pay for drivers out there now. How about Dara takes a pay cut to help drivers out. I would do a interview with you on my channel but we would have to keep it real and 💯. Drivers aren’t dumb... they know fake bs when they see and hear it. Just saying...

I’m tired of seeing less than HALF of the money my passengers pay for a ride!!! Uber hasn’t figured out how to be a viable profit making company so they have been squeezing drivers more and more to the point that this whole thing is going to fall on its face. Most of us don’t want these little perks here and there... we just want paid fairly. I just looked at the breakdown of what pax paid and what uber took... and my past 6 rides I got less than half and even less than 40 percent on a few. Seriously thinking about quitting but it’s tough since there aren’t very many drivers here out on the road.
I have learned some things that might be helpful: If it's possible to do both Uber Eats and Uber X, do both. If one isn't as busy the other usually picks up. It is also useful to pay attention to when to drive and where to drive. Some parts of town are more profitable to drive in than others, sometimes because they are busier. I drive in Atlanta and I do mostly weekends, evenings, I drive at the airport and downtown. It also looks like Uber actually tries to pay per hour, so rather than focus on what you made per trip, look more at how much you made after driving for a given amount of hours. At the end of the day check the amount of time you where on and compare with how much you made. Check what day of the week it is, check the part of town you drove in. Try to study the trends. The surge that Uber does is also helpful. It shows what areas are busy, and then you usually get paid higher for driving in areas where there is a surge. Check the promotions tab. They usually have some kind of promotion going on that will usually predict the trend (where the money is at) for the week. As a personal opinion I think Uber should focus more on the surge and charging riders a reasonable fare, to make riders pay enough to compensate drivers, rather than charging ridiculously low fares and then trying to rely on tips to compensate drivers fairly. Most people know to tip when they are served at a restaurant, and that often transfers to tipping for food delivery, but not everyone knows to tip for rideshare... and this applies to the McDonald's and Walmart workers that use Uber to get to and from work as well as corporate executives returning home from the airport. Some people think that because they are not hailing a New York cab or Washington D.C. taxi, they are excused from tipping. I have picked up some well placed people at the airport, driven them across town to their nice houses and they couldn't tip even $2! Stunning.

I was a store manager doing Uber on my days off. My arthritis got bad and some other medical issues came up and struggled with the 10-12 hours standing in a store unable to leave unless I had an assistant. Uber is amazing for those of us that sometimes have to take time off when my arthritis flares up
I live in Tennessee , i go to the airport to pick up the rider with his bags then i drop him up , uber pay me $2.66. They say this short trip and uber charges the rider almost $10
Crooks. They get what they deserve. Let new rideshare companies enter the market. Uber don't care about drivers. They would replace us in a minute with autonomous cars.
Stop cutting pay. I don’t need benefits, I need earnings. When I started delivering Uber eats I made between $6 to $10 per delivery before tip. Then they cut the per mile rate so I was only making 5 to 6 dollars per delivery. Now it is only three dollars per delivery before tip.

Dara has no interest in talking to people that are not happy. These people were definitely paid. Safety: my safety is my business not Uber. Privacy: there is no expectation of your privacy in my car. Protection: Uber is not responsible for my protection. Employee: we signed up to be free and there's a cost to being a contractor. If Uber wants to give benefits, it will definitely dig in to your paycheck.

*_Uber should pay extra money to uber drivers when driver receives pickup request from 12 to 20 miles, And mostly customers want to go 3 to 5 miles, which is 3 dollars to uber driver. That's a totally loss for uber drivers. If we unable to accept that request, our acceptance rating goes down._*

I congratulate every one of these earnest drivers, but what was the selection process? I’m a driver for 5+ years and I never heard anything about this. Please continue this forum, if you're truly searching for feedback. There are many experienced drivers who want to offer earnest opinions ( a lot of them are posting here. Take a look.) Rideshare fosters humanity, goodwill and human connection. It's helped to inadvertently break the segregation of many cities and offers many a chance to rebuild themselves. We want to be independent contractors, but the system inherently and consciously blocks that. And baked into the communication process is a profound disrespect for drivers. Slashing rates and manipulating partners like players in a video game of fake surges and disappearing bonuses creates animosity between "partners" and Uber, unrealistic expectations from passengers leading to confrontation and ultimately )with a legion of exhausted drivers) a dangerous road for all. We'd love to remain independent if we can adhere to the true definition of that and focus on a safe and respectful road.

Instead of "benefits" maybe do a little better with the % of each fare that comes to us drivers. I had a fare a couple days ago that was a double pick up and drop off and my portion was less than $8 while the customers paid close to $40
what you as well as other drivers DON'T understand.. What a rider pays for a ride has NOTHING to do with you and what YOU get paid. You signed up knowing you'd get paid a base fare, time and mileage.
@@Ka_Gg You're definitely in the wrong line of work. That's like saying if you go to a restaurants and pay $ 50.00 for a meal you'll tip less then if you spent $ 20.00
@@richardlevine8207 Bad comparison. It'd be more like if that restaurant charged $20 for just the server to bring that food (not the cost of the food). They give the server $2 and then the restaurant expects the customer to tip.
@@Ka_Gg As I stated already, you're definitely in the wrong line of work. And if you're that unhappy then maybe you should look for another line of work.
When I am driving for 5 or 6 hrs straight and I am ready to take a break because now there are not many places that you are to use their restroom so you have to go home. The person who are dispatching the calls will send a lot of calls while you are trying to turn off the app and that goes against your decline percentage even though you are not trying to decline the call.

And nothing about increasing rates for the drivers in cities they lowered rates in... So Shameful... I wonder how much Uber paid these people off to talk positively with Dara...
There were court appointed orders made in NYC & CA. So, that has to be state & local governments that push for those changes. A Federal Judge in NY basically told them pay the drivers unemployment ASAP from the months of peak pandemic
Man, I’ve driven all through the pandemic. 80 hours a week of driving since March. Picked up over 2,000 people. And I’ve been fine. I’ve gotten over 25,000 trips and maintained a 4.9
Uber needs to offer non smoking pairing! As a non smoker my car is smoke free and when smokers get in my car I literally start coughing and choking because my asthma gets triggered. Now riders think I have Covid-19!
I love working for Ubereats. I work when I want to. One of the problems is where I am Starbucks and Dunkin donut you can only go thru the drive thru and the line is about 25 cars long. You don't get paid to wait in line.
Can you put a message, a rider told me that GrubHub will ask the customer to remember to tip their driver on the app and that tips are essential for our income
Nothing was mentioned about wear and tear and the amount of mileage being placed on your car. For example, one week I made $700 and the following week I paid out $840 for my tires. Plus, high mileage is decreasing the value of your car. There is no compensation from uber for this. I have spoken to x uber drivers that quit for this reason.

@@nikkofpv2902 No its not! I do deiveries. Uber pays the same during rush hour on a Friday and Saturday night like dinner rush as they do qt the slowest time of day! Its insane. It use to pay 1xs9 during dinner rush on a weekend, NOW it is down to normal of 1xs1. That is NOT fair pay. No matter how many times you say it, it doesnt make it truth especially when 98 percent of people on here are complaining.
Uber really needs to be reworked for us in the rural areas. Not too difficult; just compensate us for distance to pickup, and that'll solve our biggest issues. As an UberXL driver, I think possibly only one of 3 in my entire area, I'll get called 20 miles across town to pick up a rider requesting an UberXL, and sometimes they only need to go mile or two to their hotel. So I get paid for about 3 miles, but I drove 20 miles out there, and have to drive another 20 miles to get back near the busy part of town. So effectively I'm being paid to drive 43 miles for the price of 3 miles. If I were compensated for the 20 miles to the pickup, that would help me out considerably. Seems Uber is currently aimed at big cities, but it really needs to adapt to rural America (and rural places around the world in general), as that's a huge market. I'm just very fortunate that the country folk out here tip very well, or I wouldn't accept those rides.
I've done both driver and delivery post Pandemic...I'm on board for the optional funding savings, I'm unclear on uber service fees differing on short runs vs long runs what's done on there part? Thank you. I’m a driver . This is my 5th year. Covid has not helped things at all. But I still love my job. I can talk to anyone unless they don’t wanna talk. Then I stay quiet. Just hope I can keep doing this for the rest of my life. I feel safe. 99% of my riders are very nice. I’m also from Nashville so that helps me so much. Thank you . Keep up the great job you do.💪👏
I love to see this conversation. He is very friendly. I personally love this a lot that the CEO of the company is taken personally interst to talk with drivers and ask suggestion. ❤ it
Once I picked up a rider and i saw him very sad, i asked him why was he so sad. He told me he had a kid and wife and had no job, I asked him if he had a phone and a car? He answered, yes. I told him to unload the Uber app give them your personal details and wait till they communicate with you, and start drive, and earn money. There are cases out there that deserves our help. I encourage you to help people if you can do. I appreciate you gave me the opportunity to earne some money working with uber
Multiple deliveries pay is a joke. 4 dollars for a short delivery (alright) + 1.52$ for a extra 20 minuts pick up plus drop of delivery (??? wtf). The customers are paying flat fees plus maybe surge fees, and if you get an extra delivery optipn you get a small fraction than if you would have completed the first delivery, waited a minute and got the other one.
Is this staged??? None of them asked real questions that matter to drivers??? How about increase our pay and stop categorizing us as independent contractors and contribute to the wear and tear of our vehicles?
Hi I love my job but with need trip increase in Florida $3.00 for 4 miles trip is no good I need to depende on customer tips to see the money in the end of the day. Gas price is going up $2.15 for a gallon of gas REGULAR GASOLINE. Sometimes I need to ask my friend for a Costco member card to save money on gas
Eats is horrible. Almost every trip is less than $4, and more than 7 miles. It should be $7 minimum up to 5 miles, then $1/mile for more than 5 miles, inclusive of the mileage to drive to the restaurant.
Dara you need to FACE reality, And start putting MORE responsibility on the RIDER when it comes to safety. the rider has 5 ways of knowing who their driver is, The driver only has 1 way that's the name of the rider, and lot of times it's a fake name or picking up someone else who requested the ride. You need to talk to drivers who have been driving for years that has and knows whats going on out there.. Also STOP giving refunds to riders every time they complain, most riders know HOW to get free rides. And what the driver needs to go through to get their money back and when you do refund the driver it comes out of Ubers pocket, YOU need to charge back the rider...
Uber needs to go back original price surge X when they started the company. That surge on just a few trips helps your days pay. I could care less about the other perks. We have to pay out of pocket for wear and tear, fuel.
Before people can order they should have to verify that they have CLEAR large address # on their place of resident, on the house, garage or mailbox, that can be seen from the street, sooooo many houses have NO house #'s on their homes, and expect us to find them, for apartment people they need to put their address in as; street #, street name, THEN building #, then apt #, homes with gates need to put gate codes, if your in a hotel, motel, add the name of the hotel or motel, adding the name of the apt complex would be helpful also, and updated phone numbers, so many phone #'s r out of order so u cant call or text them.
No driver regardless of how short the ride is, should get less than $5 a ride clear after Uber takes is share and everything else is deducted. That's only fair to the driver.
Dash camera would be awesome . Keep riders in line. Because sometimes riders are rude. And you get a 1 Star because there drunk. Not good. 4.98. 3300 trips. I love being my own boss. Thank you again. I’m glad we can express our opinions on here. I like being a sub contractor. Uber has been the best job I’ve ever had.
I'm making more money doing uber eats now. When I picked up people. 90% of the people tip on Uber eats. Where I was only getting 60% of tips dropping off people.
Yes. $3 tip on a $6 delivery, sit 35 minutes in a jack in the box drivethru, plus driving times for pickup and delivery. Enjoy that $10/hr, including your tip.
@@jamesgreer1777, this is the thing. If I know it's going to be a long wait. I just go to cancel this order and click on excessive wait time. Why do you make this Job harder for yourself? Thanks, I do enjoy my 25-30 dollars an hour!
Erick Espiritu it’ll go to $0 when you get deactivated for excessive cancels. Thanks for playing. The problem would be resolved for everyone involved if there was an excessive wait time fee imposed for excessive wait.
Auto insurance, I got hit by an uninsured driver in a checkers parking lot while I was parked waiting for my food, and had to pay to fix my car myself, I understand that they pay if YOU hit someone, but if someone hits you and is not insured, then your screwed. Even if I used my own uninsured motorists insurance, my policy would go up, so not worth it. Earning vacation and sick leave time would be amazing! Agree with William, orders are NEVER ready, and yup, area mileage is way too far alot, it should be like pizza places 8 miles and under, these 12-18 miles away, is awful because YOU have to pay your way to get back from that far order. It takes over an hour + to do a 12+ mile order 30 min there, 30 min back, and you lose all that time, extra mileage on ur vehicle, and gas, for one order, when its closer orders, I can do 3 in one hour, so I decline all those far deliveries & the base pay is always horrible for going so far! I can make $25 an hour with close orders and make $10 if your lucky and they tip, for those far hour long ones. (HOW LONG FROM WHEN A PERSON PUTS THEIR ORDER IN UNTIL UBER EATS DINGS A DRIVER? IS IT 20 MIN?, BECAUSE WHEN FOOD IS NOT READY, THE RESTAURANTS ALL LIE AND SAY THEY JUST GOT IT, SO I REALLY WANT TO KNOW HOW LONG THE RESTAURANT HAS TO MAKE THE FOOD BEFORE THE DRIVER IS DINGED?) THANKS!
Drivers should be able to determine their own rates, to raise it up 5 times the regular rates. That way nobody would need to chase surge areas and drivers would no longer complain about low fares and exploitation.
I love being the private contractor, making my own schedule, and determining how much I make. Video footage of every ride should be established for driver and passenger integrity.
I'm in Jersey. After review of driver pay including gas, miles & time is roughly $1 per mile. Then taxes have to deducted from that dollar by the driver which is about 33%.. so basically the driver is making about $0.64 per mile. Driver pay definitely needs to be raised; the pay is lower than current minimum wage😞
With Covid-19 Uber needs to allow drivers to get compensated when riders claim the app did not alert them UberX is only 3 riders now. Drivers can get compensated if no masks on riders, but riders trying to sit in front or put more riders in car should be compensated too. We drove there to pick them up, it is not driver's fault riders don't want to follow the rules.
what you need to always remember that the app ALWAYS notifies the rider when the driver has arrived and the DRIVER needs to send out the pre text I've Arrived
@@richardlevine8207 , what does the "I have arrived" alert have to do with verifying that Covid-19 Uber rules have now limited UberX rides to just 3 riders? The rider app already indicates only 3 riders, but riders often attempt to put 4 or 5 people in the UberX, claiming they didn't know and the app does not indicate the new limits. Except that it does, and has since May. Not to mention that I have the three person/back seat only rule reiterated in my driver intro. When a driver arrives for the pick up and there are too many riders, the driver can cancel, but we get no compensation and that is wrong. We did our duty, we came to provide them a clean, safe ride to their destination.
I watched the video,I apologize for not connected, I love the what The CEO subjected about our earning, being concern about our health and safety, the only problem I have my rating get low cause some of the customers not happy , a lot o for the complaint not true. So I had to slow or take break, I'm a uber night time Driver . I loved Uber eat its a little danger at This time.I appreciate you Mr. Data Khosorowshahi look forward to talking with you one day. Thanks for given me chance. Love you all.
I think drivers at the upper levels (Diamond Pro) ought to get locality priority. It gets rough when here in a tourist area Uber drivers from other states can simply turn on their app and take rides from locals.
i currently drive for uber eats,, i would like a change in seeing how far your taking the order to. like when you pick the food up, the order should have ADDRESS ON THE TICKET TO SEE HOW ARE YOU HAVE TO GO,, THIS WAY IF IT'S TOO FAR YOU CAN EXIT AND CANCLE ORDER. I DONT WANT TO DRIVE 30 MIN TO DELIVER SOMEONE MEAL
Having health insurance that is affordable with good coverage is essential. It should be a God given right. I enjoy working for Uber. It has it's flaws. I dont expect it to be perfect, but i wish we would be treated a bit better and recognized that we as independent contractors create a culture for Uber as drivers. All i ask is health insurance and i will continue to be a 4.98 driver with 6000 rides under my belt so far...it's rough being a college student..
Get better customer service for customers ordering, I see tons of people complaining on the FB site and doesnt seem like Uber eats customer service cares about them, which is unacceptable customer service. I do understand alot of people are scammers and trying to get FREE food also, so its a fine line.

Will I be deactivated for actually speaking the truth? This seemed more like a rehearsed commercial for Uber. They were all just saying nice sweetie bubbly things. A $1,000 in 30 hours doing UberEats ( can I see her screen shot ) Nothing about how surge & rates lowered. Nothing about that horrible rating system that works against drivers. Nothing about how most riders won't wear mask. I feel the rating system gives people the opportunity to discriminate against drivers. Why should restaurants & customers be allowed to negative rate us, when they don't even meet us or even see us. How can I be rude to someone taking a pic at door & never meet them?
@@sheriavery3473 I believe everyone in the car including myself should have a mask 😷 on. Then I'm good. I actually could have in just 1 night cancelled every trip because the riders didn't have mask & they wanted to stand there & debate it ( yell at me ) & even if I gave them mask, they still wouldn't put it on correct. So much defiance coming from adults. I think it's because they are being told what to do by Uber & the driver that their defiance is more important than anyone's health. I should have recorded everyone & put that on TH-cam. Anyway that's why I'm just doing UberEats now.
So the few posting against allowing riders to select their priority drivers, apparently you don't want repeat rides from people that appreciate your driving, your car, your professionalism? I often get asked by riders, " How can Iget you to drive me again?" all I can tell them is "luck of the draw". I tend to turn on the app at the same time and in the same place at the beginning of the night. I think it would be great if, as a priority selected driver, I could visit my app and it could diplay a list of people requesting rides! Instead of randomly venturing around town, I could plan a route, contact the riders, and already know that the people I was heading to pick up would be good riders!
Cut fare Uber eats every time 50% 2 delivery for 6$? Take 45 min and destination is not calculated.. cut a surge for rides like 4.5 surge, long trip its sucks right now because you lost a time drive 25 mile and 25 mile need drive to back to busy aria. That’s insane and you don’t make nothing.. sometimes you drive to criminal aria place where you can lost your life or wallet or both..for long trip need to pay more and more because it’s hard to sit with mask and drive 40 miles with 100f. Best way for happy employee just pay good, and all stress it’s gone.. if you make 500 week it’s not make you happy.. mister Dara you make 45 000 000$ we make just 4000 a month without huge expenses and I don’t talk about stress and we lost every time our health because it’s not easy job.. 8$ for 11 miles ? On Uber eat how I need understand this what about 11 miles for going back ? 22 miles 8$? We are not robots 11 miles okay 40$ if someone want order food from 11 miles you need charge him for service.. i put 20 000 miles on my car for just drive back to busy aria in last year. I buy my car just one year ago and right now I drive 65000 miles and I still need to pay and closed my credit.. we lost to many time and we are not happy with pay..
I have driven CEO'S from events to their mansions. But on the other hand I have driven individuals to weekend jail or to treatment for drugs and alcohol. I miss my interaction with my riders.
Use the incentives to your advantage. I make sure I base my driving on what incentives I want to hit whether its consecutive ride bonuses or weekly/weekend ride bonuses. Saturday night alone I made 62+ per hour with the incentives and always do over 30 per. I usually only work 20-25 hours and pull in no less than 750 but usually am near 900-1k. And you can easily do a lot more if you want to hustle but nobody wants to hustle anymore 🤷♂️
Also far as being an employee. if a driver wants benefits then they should go get a 9-5 job then UBER needs to give them a set schedule.. They knew when they signed up they were going be independent contractors .
Drivers need to be paid by the hour. I recommend $20 an hour. This exception will mean all drivers will have to accept all trip requests. This means drivers will not be earning fare but paid consistently hourly wage while accepting trips online. With that being said trips would have to be automatically accepted as long as you choose to stay online. My SECOND option would be we continue to accept trips as normal, but drivers are paid that state's minimum wage for time spent going to pick up a passenger. For an example a driver should be paid for the time if takes to pick up a passenger at his or her pickup location rather it's around the corner or 20 minutes or more away. Reason why is because we should be earning money at all times as soon as a driver accepts unless a driver cancels that trip. This way we are earning a prorated hourly wage only while you are enroute to pick up that passenger, and then your fare begins. So if your passenger gives you the wrong address, this would be great compensation for your time. I like my second opinion better. This should be earned and meet certain criteria of course. Maybe being a driver for 6 months or a year or completing x amount of rides. This is my solution :)
Hi, First and foremost my fourth grade teacher has your last name. Lol I feel when it comes to delivery , the orders should be packed tight. If soupy foods need to be packed so it will not spill. Also drink holders are fine but it also should be put in a box or bag. Just a little of my voice. Thank you, Shirley Feliciano
It would be very protective for the drivers to have a webcam inside the car monitoring the drive. These videos should be storage for protection against false complaints from riders.
My name is Rober Brinkley and I do UberEats in the Dallas/FTWorth area. I would love to get on one of your panels in the future. I have a lot of ideas about having better service for Uber, the driver and the customer. So often when problems come up we have little ability to get it resolved. The customers and the restaurants have the same concerns about trying to contact anyone to get an issue resolved.
I requested some protective supplies that they offered when I first startedbut I never received anything in the mail so I just went out and bought my own stuff
It is very nice to hear Uber drivers discussing, food, parking, eats, “Pets”, all of the above. I have a companion dog- 11lb. , Thank-You all for being so kind to us. Chewbacca, loves people. He is quite, and still. We have Had one time, were no drivers were available. We walked home. We sure missed having Uber. Thank-You, Stay Safe.
As an UberXL driver who's driving a minivan that has had 4 kids and a pit-lab mix dog go to town on it, I'm always accommodating to any rider with a dog. I would guess UberXL drivers are more open to dogs than exclusively UberX drivers, just due to the nature of the vehicles we drive. :)
I don't care much about been consider self employ or not, making money for my work is what make me happy but I know this won't get better,I been driving for uber full time for the last 4 years, less and less money but more work and aggravation...!
How about taking less of a cut of what drivers make per ride ? like 10 percent, and give drivers more of what they earn. At the end of the day, all expenses are on them.
Ok Uber, check this out. For driver AND rider safety, post in the app continously that on any platform (Android or Apple) you must check the version of the driver app and the rider app and the navigation app in both the Google Play store and the Apple Play store. If your app version says update, you're using an old and likely incompatible version of the rideshare app and the navigation app. This will cause your pickup and drop-off location to be wrong. Additionally, if you live in a gated community, take a picture of your building entrance and the gated community entrance when yiu have time and upload it to the Google Maps official location of your community ( like the management office). This will help with finding you when you request a ride. Rideshare doesn't work without Google Maps...period. Google maps works by the Google car indexing every public access street in the US nd for that matter, the world. It does not go onto private roads, gated communities, stadiums, parking lots, etc.
I am hoping that they RESPECT and value our TIME by paying fairly. As a food delivery driver, I make lot of sacrifices to make my customers happy by delivering on time. Because oftentimes there is no parking at the restaurants and the customers except you to bring the food at their door on the 20th levels. Can you imagine...
Uber Eats needs to up the rate of pay! If you have to cancel because the restaurant is closed $3 is nothing for time travel & gas
Suburbans drivers need more money to go pick at a longer distance for a short ride , something to encourage drivers to a long way for a pickup
Agreed. I've done that a couple of times, drive 7-9 miles and then the person wants to go a couple of miles. Definitely cuts into your costs

Why uber doesn't offer anything for drivers who worked in this pandemic
It's a choice. You're not forced to drive for them. Plus, you're an independent contractor. They don't need to provide that to anyone.
@@ErickE702 that stupidity at the highest level.
And the customers use mask before enter the car. After entering the car they move their mask from face to their chin. That's totally wrong.

Because Uber care about only customer leave at door or something what about us? we going inside building used elevators and who care about us if if got corona ? do not expect fairness or understanding from this company because it is ruled by a greedy person

payment should be $5.

Lololol
After all the fuel costs and the wear and tear on your car, don’t expect to net a living wage with Uber. Just do a couple of runs a day to make beer money, then go home.
@@Blacktop_Rabinowitz i know for me i set a small quota so im straight
I was so upset after talking to the uber Diamond support. I just turned my app off and cried all the way home. It was just unfair.
I agree but its a violation of privacy to obtain their social. Its the same thing like Walmart not allowing customers who are convicted felons.
Was the person currently being convicted (for lack of better wording)? Or did they already serve their time? I think that makes a difference. Everyone deserves another chance, especially when convicted felons can no longer find work in a day and age where you must have consistent work to survive, but only after you serve your time. At least that's my opinion.
The bottom line is NO matter what Uber says , they are ONLY interested in RIDER count.
Was the Marijuana medical?? Do you drink alcohol or buy it from the store and drive it home?? Are they from out of state where they can legally cross borders to other states legally carrying medical cannabis.
World Traveler Guru if u live in a legal state your fighting a losing battle and money...there’s a lot worse could be in your car than cannabis
Drivers need rate increases. Everything else you are doing is pointless without actual money in drivers pockets.
I agree with you... nowdays they give you 2orders driving 9miles and they pay you $7 for both trips sometimes you get $ 1.80 for a 3mls trip this is crazy

They should just require dadh cam period. If you order a ride you agree to be filmed. There is just way too much risk anymore.

You guys without a sweat taking 20% as commission and another 6% + 1% as tax
I kindly request you to consider my plea as all the drivers in India to raise the rate.

I like this
If you get 80 20, drivers will lose their jobs. Uber is barely alive as it is. either just accept this reality or get another job.
How about better vetting of new and current drivers? Cut down the driver pool so fewer drivers get more trips, for more money.
True

Uber support told me that Uber can take as much as they want now! It’s between 46% and 72% that i have seen!
I have learned some things that might be helpful:
If it's possible to do both Uber Eats and Uber X, do both.

Uber is amazing for those of us that sometimes have to take time off when my arthritis flares up
Thank you for that, Patricia. What a pleasure to drive people like you who are so appreciative!
I live in Tennessee , i go to the airport to pick up the rider with his bags then i drop him up , uber pay me $2.66. They say this short trip and uber charges the rider almost $10
That's mean uber takes almost 65% from the ride ,they proclaims their percentage is 35% ?
Thats just like Jax. The short trips pay the worst.

What tip ?

Other drivers talk about the truth and have complains thats something they don't want to hear.

I'm impressed with Dara. It is hard to lie for 39 minutes straight. At least Travis was honest.
@@richardlevine8207 It kind of does. If a customer pays a lot for the fair overall, they are far less likely to tip.
@@Ka_Gg You're definitely in the wrong line of work. That's like saying if you go to a restaurants and pay $ 50.00 for a meal you'll tip less then if you spent $ 20.00

When I am driving for 5 or 6 hrs straight and I am ready to take a break because now there are not many places that you are to use their restroom so you have to go home. Turn on "last ride" or "stop requests" just after accepting a ride- app won't ping you anymore.
Turn off requests buddy. Learn the app and you will be a happy driver

Am coming up on my 3rd year anniversary and still feel happy to go out meet people, drive them, enjoy the ride!

I immediately cancelled any Starbucks during my time doing EATS before riders became busy again.
Can you put a message, a rider told me that GrubHub will ask the customer to remember to tip their driver on the app and that tips are essential for our income
I'm very fortunate that most people in my area tip with cash because they understand tips we make through the app are taxed.
Obviously you're in the wrong business then. It's NOT Ubers responsibility to help maintain your vehicle..

The pay is very fair
NikkoFPV how is that ?

I work in Burlington Vermont I would agree with you also time should be minimum wage

Ubereats delivery rates are too low.

@@hey_buddy_waz_up thanks you and you're in point.
Address should be correct, location is not correct alot, and yes Address should be easy to find and read
Especially at night, in a bad neighborhood. Shining a flashlight on the wrong house might result in gunshot.
No driver regardless of how short the ride is, should get less than $5 a ride clear after Uber takes is share and everything else is deducted. That's only fair to the driver.
nothing wrong with a minimum charge. many industries do charge a minimum for reasons like this.

Wish i had join the CEO conversation group. Good to give a personal point of view
I love being the private contractor, making my own schedule, and determining how much I make. Video footage of every ride should be established for driver and passenger integrity.
Slide your front passenger seat all the way forward
That would let your rider know, you prefer them to ride in the back
Yes Works Very Well
I'm in Jersey.

If you believe masks work, you got one on,your good right??
@@sheriavery3473 I believe everyone in the car including myself should have a mask 😷 on. Then I'm good. Uber needs to allow riders to select their priority drivers!
You have the right to cancel if you don't like it but that's a bad idea too. Uber shows you who ever is near to your destination.
No way
So the few posting against allowing riders to select their priority drivers, apparently you don't want repeat rides from people that appreciate your driving, your car, your professionalism? I often get asked by riders, " How can Iget you to drive me again?" all I can tell them is "luck of the draw". I tend to turn on the app at the same time and in the same place at the beginning of the night. I think it would be great if, as a priority selected driver, I could visit my app and it could diplay a list of people requesting rides! Instead of randomly venturing around town, I could plan a route, contact the riders, and already know that the people I was heading to pick up would be good riders!

Dustin Is Driving what would you tell him
YES ON 22. The freedom to allow flexibility and self responsibility.
I have driven CEO'S from events to their mansions. But on the other hand I have driven individuals to weekend jail or to treatment for drugs and alcohol. I miss my interaction with my riders.
There should be a minimum order and a maximum distance.
$20 is ewe
PAID TIME OFF would be good addition.
Hi,
First and foremost my fourth grade teacher has your last name. Lol
I feel when it comes to delivery , the orders should be packed tight. If soupy foods need to be packed so it will not spill. Also drink holders are fine but it also should be put in a box or bag. Just a little of my voice.

Great video, I'd like to see more like this
It is very nice to hear Uber drivers discussing, food, parking, eats, “Pets”, all of the above.
I do some early mornings....tips are actually given between 1 am and 7 am
I wished I was a pat of that discussion. I have so many questions.
Next time talk with real drives no actors real drivers tell you the true
Uber It's very Great I prefer independent contractor thank you so much
