You did well in that purchase. Need to get some Whitman albums for my pre -decimal coins. Great video idea. Think you may have under valued a couple of them. Hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and New Year. Steve 🎅⛄❄🌲👍
We've been thinking about these binders for our pre decimals. I would have thought being paper that they are better for storing than plastic books. Loved the video as always.
What a great idea Paul! and what an even better Giveaway Prize. Top Man, a top channel and 1000 subscribers is very well deserved… right, I had better get commenting…. 96
Hi Paul, I mainly collect Irish coins, my UK catalogue from SEABY is old, SEABY do list Edward coins and photos of coins / proofs not issued, a Edward sovereign sold in 2020 for £1,000,000.00 and they list a 1937 Edward 6d, which by comparison should fetch £85,000.00 today, pity you didn't get one. a number of 3d's actually got into circulation.
I collected sixpences back in the 1970s & 80s, and kept them all in a Boots glass aspirin bottle, as the coins just about fitted through the neck of the bottle. When I looked at them recently, there were only a few missing dates in a run from 1892-1967
Hello Mr Sixpence I have 4 Sixpences 1st Sixpence the face of the Sixpence has a crown and letters GRJ 1948 reverse of the coin is GEORGIVS VI. The other 3 coins are 1953,1958 and 1963 on the reverse of the coin is the queens head. My question is does the date of the coins always be at the bottom of the front face of the coin. If so why on the reverse of the queens head is sideways. I've also have a THREE PENCE 1937. Hope you could give me some kind of information kind regards wendy
Nice turnout, I think you did undervalue 1 or 2 slightly, but as you said, costs, so you still have a decent folder compared to what you paid. I wouldn't grumble at that. Not quite time for retirement. Though then again, don't look a gift horse in the mouth. Great to see. I enjoy this kinda video. Thanks for that. B-Lucky!
Apparently the threepenny brass was to come out with Edward 8th head on it but he wasn't king long enough so it came out with George 6th instead 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Whoever is king (or queen) at the start of the year remains on the coins for the year, during which the coronation of the incoming monarch is planned (including the new coins honoring the new monarch) and the former monarch is remembered, long live the king (or queen).
The collection of British 6 Pence is from the government so there are Coins of Edward 8. Because of his actions the government didn't want his legacy, that's why by by Ed the eight Coins.
The 1916 and 1926 were in great condition. I think you'd get £1 each on the ones you didn't value - so I think your total could have been a bit higher. Nice vid
hi mate sorry to ask but im new at this bought some whitmans folders got the sixpence folder 1037 to date 1867 isnt in also most of the mintage figure are wrong do you know why
Oooooh Sixpences! Nice coins to collect, but I think I'll wait until my copper albums are more full. The coins you disregarded, did you not take more into account the silver content?
Thanks for watching MM. The silver content of a worn .925 sixpence would be about 70p so after costs etc it wouldn't be worth the effort selling them really 👍👍👍
Does coins are pretty cool and it is pretty sad that they where not in the album but in a little bag because they could get scratched But still really cool
I think watching this again, you in my opinion have undervalued all your coins and book. You cannot 😅buy any coin folder for 3.50 today they are double or treble that
Hi Paul. This video is nearly three years old. Yes, your right, the Whitman folder has shot up in price since I made this vid. I wish I'd have bought more back then 👍
Love the Benny Hill tune, whilst opening the coins 😂.
I really enjoy these types of videos. I would love to see more. Great stuff Paul 👏

Good luck to all and Happy New Year to you Coin Patrol.
We've been thinking about these binders for our pre decimals. I would have thought being paper that they are better for storing than plastic books. Loved the video as always.
Nice upload, I'm looking at stacking pre 1920s coins, have a merry Christmas to you and your beautiful wife and family
Really nice video and some lovely coins
As a lot of the ones you did not list values were silver you need to add about another £10 to total value. You did very well Paul.
Well done i think your prices are spot on
Think you know your prices. A small profit but a huge love of finding. Lovely little collection. Have a nice Xmas boss.
Thanks for the info I'm just learning.
That seems like an amazing deal, congratulations! I need to get better at spotting bargains like that...
Great video keep up the good content
Great video, great value purchase, think your estimates were god. Cannot believe someone wrote on the coin album 🎄☃️🎄
really enjoying these videos

You did very well with that Paul 🤗🧚♀️
Love his videos the sixpence was my favourite pre decimal coin
Love these vids
You could have put the worn ones in a bundle and sell for scrap value so definitely some value in those to add to your total.

I saw the coin with 1008 years on... it is very vintage coin and very ancient coin..
Spin on a six pence. Great video Paul
very nice book of Sixpence coins lots of silver

Minting began halfway into Ed V111.
Apparently the threepenny brass was to come out with Edward 8th head on it but he wasn't king long enough so it came out with George 6th instead 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Ive only got one sixpence that my granny give me about a year ago would love to get some more at some stage
I'm sure you've done alright 👍
I. Have a 1966 six pence peace regina Elizabeth.11.del.grania. Could you tell me if it's silver or nickel please..
Hi Jeffrey, a 1966 sixpence is made of cupro-nickel, which is a copper and nickel alloy.
@@CoinPatrol thank you very very much I'm ever so grateful thanks.
@@CoinPatrol I love watching your videos you show more than the rest brilliant thanks..,.
I have a 1824 George 4th sixpence. Found metal detecting.✌️

Don't you wish we kept this type of design grade. Lovely works.
I certainly do Dan. They were proper coins with proper designs.
You’ve done well there CP

Definitely worth the gamble 👍
Nice album
There’s much more soul in the predecimal compared with modern, computer generated designed strikes.
Give it five years when coins are no longer in use ..
hi mate sorry to ask but im new at this bought some whitmans folders got the sixpence folder 1037 to date 1867 isnt in also most of the mintage figure are wrong do you know why
I have a George III 1816 Sixpence in pretty good condition. Any Value there?
Not really up on values but looks like you’ve got a great deal there CP 😊👍.
I got 1903 penny but I can't tell open 3 or not can I send photos
And I got 50 coins dated from 1819 to 1965

Good deal I think!👌👍🎅
Interesting, think some if the better ones were underpriced though.
Does coins are pretty cool and it is pretty sad that they where not in the album but in a little bag because they could get scratched
But still really cool
Surprised myself by enjoying this video and pre-decimal usually doesn't pique my interest 👍
Thanks for watching Rich. I will have to convert you to the joys of pre-decimal's and take you away from the decimal "Dark Side" lol 👍👍👍
Gotta love the benny hill theme
I just dug up a 1878 Victorian sixpence with the famous spelling error with my metal detector.
Omg Lucky Ive got a Metal detector but only find the silver Uk coins
Still got some old sixpences that I found as a kid in my Nans Christmas pud.
Nice video
I have 2 coins Six Pence Regina + Elizabeth.II.DEI.Gratia. 1. 1960 ( 1 coin ), 2. 1966 ( 1 coin ), Thanks

A epic video.
I wish I had them.
As i have only a set from 1937 so i have only the one :)
I for some reason didn’t know they could be silver!🙈
I think you got a good deal
Packed like peas in a pod😃
I think watching this again, you in my opinion have undervalued all your coins and book. You cannot 😅buy any coin folder for 3.50 today they are double or treble that
