Ed and you guys have made RC real for the guys like me with not much money . I can't even guess at how many Dollar Tree foam board planes I could of made for all the money I have spent on multiroters . Thanks guys .
Thanks to You guys for acknowledging Experimental Airlines.. Ed does a fantastic job with explanations and video builds, and he is willing to help and answers all questions hope you guys do more build videos together along with Eds design ideas, enjoyed the video..Tim
Same plane I just built, also my very first RC plane! haven't got it in the air yet but can't wait. I have watched all of Ed's videos on youtube, highly recommend watching his videos as well. Awesome review, hope to see the rest of the tests.
that's cool that you guys did a review on someone's scratch built plane it just proves your love of the hobby awesome video guys and congratulations josh you have your own plane now
Great episode and hats off to Ed over at Experimental Airlines for the build and gift to J. Scott....Seems like the perfect plane for a newer pilot....
Fantastic, I build both Ed's and Ft's scratch and actually combine what I like about each. Ed's wing is easy to build and flys great and Ft's fuses and landing gear is on all of my builds. Taping is a bit tedious but that's whats on my Ft3d .Taped before the first cut. Even my baby blender has his wings.Build his boob tube with 7 in wing and go flying in any wind that you can set the plane down with out it flipping over
If I didn't love Alaska so much, I would seriously move to Ohio, just to be closer to the Flite Test crew and be able to call them "friends". Seriously. It's glaringly obvious you are all men of faith, so even though we might not be friends, I know we are brothers in Christ. So, while I hope to one day meet the men who've reignited my interest in R/C planes, if I don't, I know I will see you all in the heavenly choir! (That was kinda morbid, sorry!)
Amazing build! The "X'd" out Bixlers was a hilarious touch. Such an amazing community you've fostered. Good people shockingly draw good people. Too bad more people don['t realize that.
It wasn't ruined at all. You guys are missing the entire point of this hobby and this show... to inspire new pilots, not make them sit on the sidelines. I'm sure Ed wanted Josh Scott to maiden the plane... it only makes sense for him to have had that in mind.
Ahhhh, a video with flying in it. Awesome. And that last crash brought back terrible memories from just a couple of weeks ago. I did the same thing! A parachuting penguin and purple dude got caught in my control rods. My plane did not fair so well, it's done.
Nice videos and awesome plane. Kudos to Ed for making this plane for them. Its given me a little inspiration in making my own experimental plane....Hope to eventually see you guys drop that Coke can!
Congratulations to my brother from another mother! Of course you know you are loved. Fun show. Reminded me a bit of the Wildcat episode wondering if JS would get to fly it or not.
That's very cool, enjoyed that. I am considering getting into rc flying. This gives you an idea of what really happens, and how to build a plane that can recover from use by a less experienced flier.
That is an fantastic plane, do you have plans? Planes like these are great for entertaining the kids, used to use the MPX Funcub with a modded bomb drop door.
Very cool, good on you Ed for building such an awesome plane! Looking forward to seeing it dropping soda cans.....make sure its onto concrete/road so they go bang!
No plans, but all the building techniques are explained in Ed's experimentalairlines videos on YT. The J*Scott looks like it's based on Ed's Noob Tube design with a few extra touches from other designs like the tapered nose and bomb door. But they are all on there. If you use those simple (and cheap) building methods and brain power, you'll have an aircraft done in a few hours. You'll need art board/foam board, packing tape (clear or coloured) a steel rule, sharp knife and hot glue.
FYI if it don't move it is just a vertical stabilizer with no rudder. also perpendicular to that is the horizontal stabilizer or horizontal stab for short with the elevator on it. But yes some planes fly perfect with no rudder, some will fly less perfect but in a turn the tail seems to be falling to the inside of the turn. But they still fly.
Hey Josh, Did you ever try handling the sticks by pinching them between thumb and first finger? Its more precise and positive control. I realize this may seem weird at first but you should try it. A USMC guy told me about this and it works!
00:01 ROFL! Congrats Josh Scott on finally getting plane named after you I've been to Ed's page before he does do some sweet&tough flying planes. Here's a quick tip since you guys are using a DX8 radio why don't you get a 8 channel receiver set up some ''Quad Flaps?'' I did that with my Multiplex FubCub you talk about especially with ''air breaks'' mixing so what do you guys think of that?
LightningFast Rc I don't know, they might just think small josh is a bit of an arrogant prick. Note: only a little, its not that bad, I'm sure he's a great guy really.
This plane may be in the Smithsonian museum one day, being the very first airplane in the J. Scott line of products, that reshaped the flying industry in the early 21st century, or... turn out to be just a fun plane to fly! -Craig St Louis Aeropilots
Nice plane and ED has the details on his you tube site if you want to build one. But flitetest can we PLEASE next the next plans for the swappable series that you have gotten us all hooked on building and flying. I'm trying to get my entire flying club into it which means more kit buys wink
I had that same crash with my t-28, I put a cluster bomb that dropped mini parashoot men from a large parashoot bomb but it got stuck on my horizontal stabilizer and it didn't have the power to fly.
Come on Flite Test, this was a superbly built plane. I expected far better care from you guys. I'm not blaming Josh Scott, but at least have an experienced pilot maiden and trim the plane before giving it to Josh S. I understand that it's made of DollarTree foam, but I'm sure Ed put a lot of thought and time in to that plane. Unless Ed said for J. Scott to maiden it,I would have taken a few preliminary steps b4 launching full throttle into the air. Also it looked a tad tail heavy. My two cents :)
Awesome guys, I'm happy you like it. Hope to see some cargo dropping flights soon.
This is why you always need a certain repair tool on hand when you crash.
That tool is a Swede
Random norwegian agrees completely, lmao xD
Ed and you guys have made RC real for the guys like me with not much money . I can't even guess at how many Dollar Tree foam board planes I could of made for all the money I have spent on multiroters . Thanks guys .
Awesome job Josh! Love the plane!! One of the BEST RC shows out there. Love all the humor mixed in! Thanks guys.
After watching practically all your videos I think you guys are growing on me. Keep it up.
Thanks to You guys for acknowledging Experimental Airlines.. Ed does a fantastic job with explanations and video builds, and he is willing to help and answers all questions hope you guys do more build videos together along with Eds design ideas, enjoyed the video..Tim
We want more of this plane!
Nerf guns!!!! >>>> ;) :0
Best show on youtube along with Jay Lenos Garage. I fly full scale and i love watching what you guys come up with.
You guys make me so happy. Thanks for showing us how much good clean fun can be had!
"Look how many Bixlers I've shot down" ROFL Josh! :)
Same plane I just built, also my very first RC plane! haven't got it in the air yet but can't wait. I have watched all of Ed's videos on youtube, highly recommend watching his videos as well. Awesome review, hope to see the rest of the tests.
I love when he smacks Josh's hand in the beginning lol
Josh Scott got Josh Bicker back with the coke after his hand got smacked
Another great build by Ed with his many innovations. I had never actually seen one of his planes crash. That was a first.
that's cool that you guys did a review on someone's scratch built plane it just proves your love of the hobby awesome video guys and congratulations josh you have your own plane now
Great episode and hats off to Ed over at Experimental Airlines for the build and gift to J. Scott....Seems like the perfect plane for a newer pilot....
Probably not a direct swappable only because the bomb bay takes up the space where the rear power pod would go.
Ah another Alaskan flite test fan.
I'm in Soldotna
'X FGG rriuhun
Fairbanks bruh
Good Ole Soldotna
I'm in Wasilla
This and the Bixler should have a dogfight!
Amazing build! The "X'd" out Bixlers was a hilarious touch. Such an amazing community you've fostered. Good people shockingly draw good people. Too bad more people don['t realize that.
Josh and Josh are the most hilarious flight test team. A perfect balance of flight Ed plus great ytube entertainment :)
Ed does great videos and has lots of great information I appreciate all the information in them. Great wing tutorials.
Very, very cool! What an excellent gift! Ed, ya done good!
It wasn't ruined at all. You guys are missing the entire point of this hobby and this show... to inspire new pilots, not make them sit on the sidelines. I'm sure Ed wanted Josh Scott to maiden the plane... it only makes sense for him to have had that in mind.
Awesome. J Scott skirts are getting much better.
Ahhhh, a video with flying in it. Awesome. And that last crash brought back terrible memories from just a couple of weeks ago. I did the same thing! A parachuting penguin and purple dude got caught in my control rods. My plane did not fair so well, it's done.
Love the dead bixler decal and ths ending. awesome!!!!
Nice videos and awesome plane. Kudos to Ed for making this plane for them. Its given me a little inspiration in making my own experimental plane....Hope to eventually see you guys drop that Coke can!
YES!! finally i waited for this since i saw the j*scott picture on facebook!!
Congratulations joshua scott!
Congratulations to my brother from another mother! Of course you know you are loved.
Fun show. Reminded me a bit of the Wildcat episode wondering if JS would get to fly it or not.
The noob Josh really makes yalls shows!! I love It!! He is really funny!
That's very cool, enjoyed that. I am considering getting into rc flying. This gives you an idea of what really happens, and how to build a plane that can recover from use by a less experienced flier.
I am a relatively strong in the hobby and I strongly encourage you get a FT simple cub to start that’s what I started on and it teaches you so much
any plane that can fly twice and never land has got to be a winner!!!!
well done guys!
That is an fantastic plane, do you have plans? Planes like these are great for entertaining the kids, used to use the MPX Funcub with a modded bomb drop door.
Very cool, good on you Ed for building such an awesome plane! Looking forward to seeing it dropping soda cans.....make sure its onto concrete/road so they go bang!
never thought i'd see the day when my 2 fav channels would help each other out. pretty awesome!!
I like the J*Scott logo. Pretty cool!
glad you finally got a plane you can call your own j scott !!!! great video guys !!!!
im about to build my first plane.. its very rough and not perfect... im waiting on the electronics :D
best intro ever! haha i miss the old style videos like these reviews! great job!
No plans, but all the building techniques are explained in Ed's experimentalairlines videos on YT. great job guys ED got me started with AXON
Awesome vid I have 2 questions #1 what do you do with all of the planes #2 whats in the 2nd floor of that house.
Lmaoooo that was too funny in the beginning when bixler smacks Scott's hand lol great video guys
11:29
Why wasn't that on-camera? :)
RIGHT!??!?!?!??!!
AUAAH
FYI if it don't move it is just a vertical stabilizer with no rudder. also perpendicular to that is the horizontal stabilizer or horizontal stab for short with the elevator on it. But yes some planes fly perfect with no rudder, some will fly less perfect but in a turn the tail seems to be falling to the inside of the turn. But they still fly.
I would love to do this! We'll see what happens. Those guys have some cool and crazy stuff going on already.
J*Scott, one of the most awesomest planes EVER!!!
Adam Howard I agree with some other posters, J*Scott logo, very cool!
Great job Ed!
Hey Josh,
Did you ever try handling the sticks by pinching them between thumb and first finger? Its more precise and positive control. I realize this may seem weird at first but you should try it. A USMC guy told me about this and it works!
0:00 I’ve never seen bixler so mad in my life
The fight scene at the start was pretty intense
Love how the flight test team jumps upon the crashed plane. Their like oh carnage lets fix it in a group brother huddle :)
They`re
Back to school..
Bravo for the J*Scott !!! Thanks Ed
Here, do you want a drink? That was very funny. Great episode guys!
Congrats Scott!!!
Def best intro yet!!! Lol nice job guys!!
Awesome plane! I only have one question. What's the chance of this becoming part of the swappable line?
nice plane
you did a great job with bending prop
Working on my 5th Flite Test Airplane now. Haven't flown any of them, but I'm building...! (Darn Weather!) Haha!
00:01 ROFL! Congrats Josh Scott on finally getting plane named after you I've been to Ed's page before he does do some sweet&tough flying planes. This plane is WICKED AWESOME!
I'm hoping that there will be a build video either on flitetest or Experimental Airlines.
Good episode, but Im doing a scratch build, and im wondering ware I can buy wheels from, to be spacific some places in Canada.
Nice job Ed,
we need another video with this plane! Jscott vs Bixler?
Sometimes I like to think that the 15 people who disliked meant click like but but accidentally picked dislike...lol, this thing is awesome!
LightningFast Rc I don't know, they might just think small josh is a bit of an arrogant prick. Note: only a little, its not that bad, I'm sure he's a great guy really.
Yeah, I could see that happening.
+LightningFast Rc They mistook it for "Dis, I like"
+Kasbian Vaulks "small josh" is kind of an arrogant thing to say btw.
I agree it's kinda obnoxious to say that - forces them both to laugh it off. Good spot! and i'll back up this 'call out'
STOL, shortest landing I've ever seen, mission accomplished.
Well done once again, my friends.
awesome, nice plane and it is a J*Scott !!!! Does it come with a can of Cola?
you are an amazing creator i want the j-scott
am i the only one that love watching flitetest?
This plane may be in the Smithsonian museum one day, being the very first airplane in the J. Scott line of products, that reshaped the flying industry in the early 21st century, or... turn out to be just a fun plane to fly! -Craig St Louis Aeropilots
Ed is our cool uncle! I’ve made several Ainsley’s and glider so far:)
Nice ceep up the good work josh scott
Nice plane and ED has the details on his you tube site if you want to build one. But flitetest can we PLEASE next the next plans for the swappable series that you have gotten us all hooked on building and flying. I'm trying to get my entire flying club into it which means more kit buys wink
Most Awesome! Thanks to the Builder and the JOSH TWINS for doing the review!! damig
can you post the 2d design plans for cad, for the few of us who have a laser cutter?
What about the nurf darts? What are they for? We need another video by J. Scott.
Okay! So we just drop those bad boys.
Wow nice plane and good vid!
Congrats, Josh. Awesome plane. Thank you Ed at Experimental Airlines. Are you guys going to offer kits or plans to scratch build?
I had that same crash with my t-28, I put a cluster bomb that dropped mini parashoot men from a large parashoot bomb but it got stuck on my horizontal stabilizer and it didn't have the power to fly.
Very nice plane. Maybe put inthe flaos for the next drop. Slow it down some. Just a thought.
so did Bixler really open that can, and if so HAHA, you're telling me he didn't see Josh shaking that can, way to go J*Scott!!!
How did he engineer that adjustable prop?! That's a phenomenal idea!
Did they ever bring this plane back?
awsome plane... glad scott likes it
Any idea what airfoil was used?
never replayed the first 5 seconds of a video that often xD can´t get enough from that slap xD you made my day :D
Come on Flite Test, this was a superbly built plane. I expected far better care from you guys. I'm not blaming Josh Scott, but at least have an experienced pilot maiden and trim the plane before giving it to Josh S. Also it looked a tad tail heavy. My two cents :)
And it STILL does not come with an iPad. Poor Josh :). Awesome plane, well done Mr. Experimental!
i would love to build the j*scott, can you get plans
It looks tail heavy - especially right after take off. Neat plane though.
whats the name of the song at the end of this video?
can flitetest do a pulsejet engine review? id like to see them do that..
very pilatus porter looking. .love it
5:03 why dont just roll right and pull up xD Was he a beginner there?
I think so. As soon as i saw the plane crash i said right and up.
The silent gamer okay :D
so... who is doing the chapper now an the windestal?
You are going to do build video?
Awsome! I love blankets!!!
