Leila Jane and Connelly are my favs for eurosong. Whilst I do love "Wild" I do echo Williams concerns about staging, it could be elevated or fall flat depending on how it looks live. I have no fear she can produce it live as she is a great live performer and if the video is anything to go by it might interesting to have her quite static and almost still which might create an interesting counterbalance to the track. Let her voice and the song shine. She has suggested that the dancer will be involved somehow in the live show which makes me a little fearful as this may be tasteful or tacky. Connelly, however, is a demo and so there is great potential for her song to improve via a revamp and further production. Also, I get more of an Irish musical influence from her song that will stand out at eurovision and potentially could do better. The ambient quality mixed with the subtle electronic undertones in the track gives it somewhat of a hypnotic quality and could be a moment if performed and staged well. These two songs would e great at eurovision but I feel Connelly may have a greater chance of qualification to the final because it doesn't sound like anything else that we will likely see this eurovision season.
Connolly’s song is so boring it would actually make people fall asleep. Especially in that 1st half of the 1st semi. Leila Jane or Adgy all the way!! My third being Wild Youth
The staging concerns could just as easily apply to Connolly who only has a half-baked song. At least this is a complete song and more energetic. I’m open to Connolly surprising with a revamp but at this point give me Leila all day every day!!
the studio production value for Irelend was awful in my opinion. especially if you compare it to the likes of Norway's selection process and performances. it also perhaps suited some better than others. certainly didn't agree with the final votes. this was a definite top 3, if not top 2 for me. would be very surprised, indeed shocked if Ireland were to win now. winning song didn't do it for me.
