    I played scales before. It did help my technique a little, but you are right, you still need other skills to play difficult pieces well! 👍

    Love this video! Some people really think that scales are the only finger exercise that you need. But, I am so glad that you pointed out, that scales are NOT the only technique that you need as a good pianist! AGREED! 👍👍👍

    I agree. Once you have learned the scales, you will have it (more or less 😉). But it doesn't help you master other techniques. I sill struggle parallel intervals in right hand, even though I can play the scales pretty well!

    But I agree with you, piano technique is so much more than just scales.

    I cat see that scale practice is important for learning to be a professional pianist. But for those who just want to learn to play specific pieces that they like it seems to be a complete waste of time when you could be practicing the actual piece you want to learn.
