aaaa a sad comment but lia and chaeryeong definitely get some of the worst hate that i’ve seen :-( lia is bullied for her dancing (which is stupid as she’s literally in a group with 4 main or lead dancers) and chae for her unique face even tho i think she’s one of the prettiest idols idk i just think she’s stunning 😭😭 especially in the last few comebacks

@@aimee-hyj she stood out more by how uncomfortable she seemed as a rookie, but she's honestly nothing short of magnetic when she's dancing and her voice is actually my favorite in all of itzy.
she's also a straight up stunner (hair, eyes, lips, body), super sly and sweet and funny all at once. she's honestly been nothing but nice.
maybe people have some kind of shock because she doesn't fit* korean beauty standards. but then again, ryujin also barely fits any, and people still like her. the way people have been treating her just isn't justified.
and the quiet in reactions when her parts come up hurts, like, are we not seeing the material?

3 of the girls actually have studio choom artists of the month performances. Yeji Ryujin and Chaeryeong and they are all so fire!!!!!

All of them were pretty short. Yuna and Chae and Lia, hardly scratched the surface
yuna joined JYP in elementary and literally debuted when she was 15 so she has practically been raised by itzy and that's why everyone even twice, GOT7 and skz refer to her or itzy as younger sisters needing care (chan only for itzy cuz others are their age in skz) but for yuna, everyone babies her
I get the whole thing about feeling close to Yeji because your names are similar. It's similar to how we feel about our honorary Canadian, Lia.
all of these girls are so obscenely loveable, but you and i are in it together when it comes to ryujin, she's just so magnetic.

The IMMEDIATE gay panic with Ryujin lmaoooo, literally me. My first Itzy content ever was randomly clicking on Ryujin's Studio Choom performance like "huh I need to check Itzy out one of these days let's see this" and let me tell you, I was basically an Itzy stan by the end of the first like 10 seconds. Ryujin had me in a chokehold so fast and I've never been let go this whole time lol. Itzy is now my ult girl group for many reasons besides Ryujin but she's still my bias. If you could say I have a "type," I have a very specific one and she is it. XD

Also I agree with you saying lia feels like girl next door and also I feel like her voice doesn't get to shine enough with their title tracks, she has such a rich tone idk how to describe it
Also my bias ryujin collecting women, as she should, she is just so effortlessly cool and confident it makes people flustered. As you said, the strength aspect really is part of the girl crush idols, there's always one in every group, the ones on top of my mind rn are : ryujin, lisa of blackpink, mamamoo's moonbyul it's that tomboy-ish(for the lack of a better word) but also with girlboss aspect that gives them that vibe i think
Itzy is one group where you can't help but adore all of them
you definely should check out Yeji, Ryujin and Chaeryeong Artist Of The Month, they're amazing! also Ryujin and Chaeryeong are very sassy, it's funny. Lia has sassy moments also! Yuna is naturally funny and Yeji is such a cutie, so pure. They're all very different, but compliment each other very well!
What you'll find as you watch more ITZY content is that these girls are chaotic good in the best possible way. You'll see a lot of their content referred to as "healing" for a reason, especially things like Paris et ITZY and their new show ITZY Cozy House which actually got advertised as being healing because they're so known for bringing that through even when you wouldn't expect it like when they did Bu:QUEST.
I think you'll really enjoy the 3 Studio Choom performances. Yeji, Chaeryeong, and Ryujin are all amazing dancers, but they all have distinct styles and stage personas, so it's fun to watch their solo dances back-to-back and be able to compare and contrast them. They were given a lot of leeway in choosing the cover songs and planning the choreo, so the end product allows you to see exactly how they want to represent themselves onstage. (All 3 also have separate BTS footage videos where you get to see some of what went on as they practiced for their performances.)
For getting to know the members further, check out Letters to Midzy. It's an introspective video, and offers quite an intimate look at the member's more vulnerable side, as they reflect on some their insecurities and the challenges that come with being an idol. Very highly recommended.
i definitely recommend watching their artist of the month videos. the order that they came out is: Yeji, Chaeryeong, Ryujin
Their studio choom performanceare really great. Each person's dance suits her vibe. But ryujin's is my personal favourite
honestly they are the most wholesome and funny group I've seen, they're bond is honestly incredible plus they're all SO talented it's crazy
but yeah I'd totally recommend checking out Yeji, Ryujin and Chaeryeongs's solo AOTM,
they're the only group to have more than one member perform at all, let alone 3, really shows the level ITZY is at!
I love their personalities so much, they are really chill, cute and fun. Their stage presence is always so good and their music.

Lia doesn't deserve any hates but too bad because she's one of the idols who gets hate the most which til now I still can't understand because how can they hate someone so cute and as kind as her like, I'm having a bad day and all of it would vanished everytime I see her especially when she smiles (idk why but it just brightens my mood and it feels like everything would be okay)

Absolutely all three Studio Chooms. And one thing I always recommend to everyone but too few people take me up on it: a video called Letters to Midzy that was released together with Not Shy MV; it is serious, and not directly music/dance related, but it is very deep and worth watching - and you get a very good insight into the five. It is about 17 minutes, IIRC. Then everything ever released by the channels Ryujinies and Itzybean (I also liked Liapple and Lovelia, but haven't seen a post from them lately).
OH! Also, with every promotion they release a bunch of dance practices, and one of them is often weird in the best way. I recommend: Wannabe Hero version, Icy Midzy version, Not Shy Villain version.

@@Yetti. blackpink members is close to SNSD members personally and i can definitely say that SNSD been soo supportive as seniors towards bp since they debuted, and now itzy known as biggest blinks but we still haven’t get their interaction cuz bp stop attending awards show :((. and these three fandoms is actually chill with each others too
Lia got a lot of hate in the beginning because of her dancing. The rest of them already could dance before being in itzy but she learned through training. She’s at the level where she can keep up with the dances and it still looks good but she was chosen for vocals not dancing. People were so harsh on her back then. Then she lost alot of weight which did scare a few people because we didn’t know if she did that to help her in a healthy way or she was kind of frustrated and wanted to cube one better at dancing so it made her lose weight that way. I think she’s a lot more happy now and she doesn’t get as much hate but there are still people that are annoying and won’t leave her alone and think she shouldn’t have been in itzy.

I also recommend you to watch “Letters to Midzy” it’s their video to their fans. They also talk about their struggles etc. Ryujin talked about how some people say that their choreography is too hard “for a girl group” and that she doesn’t feel like it’s a compliment 🥺

I love Itzy, they are funny and talented; besides that I find it very cute how they admire other girl groups without any fear. Thanks to itzy I began to be more aware of certain complications in the world of kpop (beauty prototypes / the "enmity" that is believed to exist between kpop groups), I deeply admire Chaeryeong because she is beautiful and talented, she deserves to be in the Idol's position after wishing for it since she was little and despite the unfair treatment she receives

I am really glad you are starting to get into itzy, if you want to get into itzy content I would recommend reacting to their weekly idol episodes, studio choom artist of the month (yeji, chaeryeong, ryujin), paris et itzy, itz playtime (this one is actually really cute, cause it’s itzy playing with kids), the videos they recorded with hello 82, bu:quest of itzy, itzy itz tourbook in USA, codename: secret itzy (csi) and of course some fan edits, my personal favorite midzy channels are ryujinies and itzybean (my favorite videos are: loco era was a mess, itzy moments to start the year of 2022 right, ryujin is the definition of girl crush, questionable things Ryujin has said/done #2, itzy on vlive but its mostly them doing forbidden things, itzy moments that don’t feel real & itzy arm wrestling contest)

Some more stuff,yuna and ryujin were in bts love yourself project,chaeryeong was in sixteen the show where twice got formed with her older sister chaeyeon who was in izone she made it to the last round but didn't debut,yeji ryujin chaer and yuna were in a stray kids survival show fighting to debut,eventually they debuted to itzy,chaer had the opportunity to debut before itzy twice once with twice or with the girls team on skz survival show but didnt,fun fact somi was meant to debut in itzy in lias place but she left the company giving lia the spot,ryujin was casted by jyp scouts at a got7 fanmeeting
