Viotti wrote 29 masterful violin concertos. It is not surprising to find an excellent piano concerto among his works. Makes one wonder how much more music there is to discover. Since Viotti was director of the French opera, we should surmise that there are operas waiting to be rediscovered.
This Viotti piano concerto here is not bad. His violin concertos no. 22 and 23 are his best, and very popular among violin players. All the rest of his work are just so so.
I am a classical music lover, and i never knew who he was, even tho he was born around my area in Italy, and a conservatory in my city is named after him

Wunderschön, melodisch es wäre auch sehr interessant die Violinversion zu hören um vergleichen zu können welches Instrument besser wirkt.
