    I soak my grill grates in Dawn dish soap overnight. I bought me a Lowe's bucket I feel it up with some hot water and a couple of squeezes of Dawn dish soap. It gets rid of grease and grime. Just soak everything. I never use brushes or scrapers on my ceramic grills or inside the grill. I just got my grill in July and nothing really sticks after I sprayed it down. I use Pam spray nothing really sticks on it. I just wash it up rinse it off and keep it moving. I clean the inside after two cooks and the grills and grease pan each cook. It's so easy to keep clean. I love this grill, it's the best. But I did get using a vac to clean the ash out inside the grill from you. Thanks for that tip. Have a blessed day.

    This video was a lot more relaxing than I want to admit.

    I use my pressure washer on the grates and head shield looks brand néw after. Then I use a paint scrapper on the inside just go from the top to bottom. I guess anyways is a good way to prevent a fire. That’s what killed my MB.

      I hear that Chad....I didn't feel it was dirty enough to break out the pressure washer😂😂 I figure 3-4 cooks and then do the same to upkeep it

    Thanks for the videos on this grill! I have had mine for about 3 weeks now and have been watching your videos to help learn all I can! I have a question for you. I know some folks have been putting on some gaskets around the door to try to help keep the more smoke in. What's your thoughts on that? It doesn't look like you have put any on your 980, I am trying to figure out if it really makes a difference or not. Thanks and Cheers!

      Hello Garman and thank you for checking us out! I've also seen a few people with the gaskets and stuff on the grill but I don't want to do that. I believe it's set up to run a certain way, and it's been flawless for me. I honestly don't see a need to change the way it performs IMO. Cheers 🍻🍻

    What’s up Rich. Question for you. Do you find that when you set your heat manifold on that mount that you put in on the left side, there is no clearance between the manifold and the bottom of the barrel? I mounted it correct and didn’t have any washers or anything left over. However it appears that this blocks the grease from draining down to the troughs. I was looking at maybe getting two washers as a spacer foe clearance and wanted to see if you saw this. Thanks and keep the videos coming bro. 👍🏾

    I noticed you seem to prefer kingsford Briquettes have you noticed any Creosote buildup? Other users of gravity fed grills have mentioned they burn dirty.

      @ramtuff111  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have not had any problem burning Kingsford blue. Lots of ash but that's about it. Honestly, I got just as much as from the Royal Oak briquettes but they also did a good job. Cheers🍻🍻

    Do you need to be careful not to scrape up the finish on the heat box and deflector? once its scratched or scraped off it may rust I would think.

    • @ramtuff111
      @ramtuff111  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I can see that. I wasn't scraping deep and that's also why I used the nylon brush. When I used the edge, they were really shallow scrapes😉😉

    I have a question that might not really be the subject on hand. Anyway, here we go. Since you have both the 960 and the Flat Iron, what are the sizes of or measurements of the grease drains and are they the same size? If so, what size or sizes of throw away pan do you use? I have found the 980 and have ordered it but I can not find the Flat Iron. Any Suggestions? I'm in Texas.

      That's a great question that I can't answer right now... I'm about to head into work. I will check that out later for you. Also, I don't use the drip liners if that's what you're referring to. In all honesty, if I were to do something like that, I would just line it in aluminum foil in the pan😉😉
      Congrats on the 980! It is an awesome unit!
      Cheers Eddie! 🍻🍻

      @@ramtuff111 Hi, Yes I was referring to the drip liners. I just thought it would make thing a lot easier to clean and dispose of. Thanks for replying. I have contacted three other BBQ TH-camrs in the past and I'm still waiting on a response. Thank you for responding so quickly. Love your channel. Thinking since I can't seem to find a Flat Iron, I am thinking of getting a 36" Blackstone. Do you have an opinion on the Blackstone? Either way I'll be in touch. Again Thanks, Eddie

      @@eddiegarza7250 no problem Eddie! Always willing to answer questions or concerns if I can. I actually own 3 different flattop grills. I have the Char-Griller Premium Flat Iron, Camp Chef FTG-600 and the Blackstone 28. All of them are great. I personally don't believe you can go wrong with any of them
