I tried guitar lessons when I was in 8th grade and enjoyed them but stopped and never went back. Then when I was 32 I bought. Electric guitar and tried to learn again for a few months then put it down again. Now at 36 I've picked it back up bought 2 more guitars and have haven't put it down in almost a year. It's a lifelong dream of mine to play and I'll learn if it's the last thing I do. Funny thing is this past year I've learned ao much than I ever have about it. I got nothing but time on my hands to do it. And btw your progress is awesome. Keep it up
Thanks for ur story fren. Shred on
STOP STOP IM CRYING THE FACES POSTER IN THE BACKGROUND I LOVEEEE
The last one sounds beautiful! You should post a proper version of it !!
Ong unique as hell
Name?
I NEED a full version of the last clip/video
I like this too
Yes it was a masterpiece
FRRR I JUST WANNA KNOW HWERE THAT SONG CAME FROM OR A FULL VERSION
@@nicole-tino yes
That last guitar sounds so good. So rainy and moody.
What is the name of the last effect?
this gives me hope
I've been playing guitar about 9 years and i'm still on the basic chord lol
Wha- lol
how,?? you must never practice
Honestly that can only happen if u play once every month for 5 mins..
Like even if u play just for 30 min to 1 hr you'll get good af in 1 or 2 years
Oh god, I’m about to begin. Lord please don’t let this be me 😩👩🏽.
No offense to you!!
@@jaylapearson3256 if you practice you’ll get good in no time. If you practice every day and really put in effort you could probably get to a good intermediate level in 2 years
I love how literally every beginner buys a strat and then sounds like shit for the next year. It’s a right of passage at this point.
You pretty much have to relearn when you start on acoustic and go to electric, it was really confusing when I moved from my cordobas to a strat lol.
When you learn how to play without a teacher, you play the right notes, but at the wrong way, so you have to relearn how to play guitar, and that happened to me
Not greater feeling then when you start feeling the vibe while playing - gg well done
Thank u 😊 the best feelin
@@mollymcphaul I'm looking at getting better with fingerstyle music but also enjoy moody riffs and stuff - do you have any suggestions?
19-20 was a huge jump good shit
Did I hear some Paramore 26 along the wayy?! 💯✨
Yes you did!
i did and i was like "wait, isn't this from the new album"
then i realized After Laughter came out 5 years ago
The last one where she’s wearing the green shirt, I love this sound 😍
This is sick!!! Keep rocking, you’re killing it
Wait a minute.... Sooo ur telling me that for the first 4 yrs u've been playing left handed then immediately changed to playing right handed 🤨

I do happen to have a few electric guitars laying around… maybe I should learn to play one! This is motivating me.
🤘🏼 rock on
Yo imma need a tab for that last one shits fire
As someone who recently started playing guitar this is really inspiring and really cool! Keep going!
I'm getting inspired. I just picked up and start recently.
I can tell 2019-20 you learned a lot. Very good!
2019- Paramore?!! Yesssuuurr❤️🤙
Now I kinda wish I recorded myself so I could watch my own progress
I'm gonna start doing it haha since I'm a beginner
Ul b playn lyk Jimi soon but develop ur own take in musicianship providing ur own outlook to the universe surrounding.. Gotta whole lotta love for originality.. Keep grinding gurl!! U got this cos u got us all🙏
That 2020 lockdown you really had a lot of practice time haha
I bought a electric guitar 🎸 at 59 lol . I want to learn .I don't know if I can ? You make it look so simple but I know it's not ❤
If u try...U DEFINITELY CAN!! U may feel demotivated first (or somthn like that) . But remember why u started.. Challenge yourself. Remember, age doesn't matter 😊
@@art-nd9wc Thank you 😊
damn, this is exactly what I needed to see today to pick up my guitar and continue my journey of learning it/teaching myself... tryin to live that jam life---- wondering what you used to teach yourself, if you're cool with sharing? or if you kinda just learned by ear and playing songs.
much love to you and your journey tho. musicianship is such a beautiful thing to have/be a part of.
learn a song you like and look up what makes the song (Scales/chords) and learn that. just play your guitar at least 15 minutes a day and youll get way better than playing 5 hours one day a month
That last song tho 👀 what song?
Yea Fr

She switched from left hand to right and the learning took off!
Hahaha the camera is flipped when I recorded some of these I’m just a righty 😂 but thank u for ur support 😌
I thought you were going to start at how you got past the pain of fretting actions
Play every day but not until it f*cking hurts. I never had that experience even with bass.
You make a huge improvement on musicality, I spend like 10 years on technique to realize I could't improvise or lay out some chords with nice voicing like yourself
Same! Playing 9years already and I can't come up with own stuff:(
@@Proma-l9g I recommend to listen to as much music as you can, any kind of music, and sing your own stuff on top, and don't get caught on chops and licks like myself. When I realized I could't play shit on the spot, regardless of having good/advanced technique, I strarted to hear more and play less, and strangely became a much rounded musician overall. Good luck!
@@ignaciojauregui7423 hmm but I do listen to music everyday😅
@@Proma-l9g You will have to keep working on it till you flow like water
You need to find a teacher now.. I've watched some of you post it sounds to me like your stuck. You just need some guidance... keep up the good work.
That's exactly what I need. I need guidance
Theres a length to what you can learn by yourself. Im playing a different instrument and it takes me months to get a little better on my own. Shit is hard
@@thekuba9352 nah, just keep playing everyday and you will see improvement. Teacher or not if you dont actually play the instrument you wont get better. Just be patient and dont expect to be getting a lot better everyday. Some improvements you can see only after doing the same thing for a month
@@mikoajtokar5846
Improvements don't come from playing.
They come from practicing.
If you practice the same 10 things every day for your whole life, you're going to start seeing very minimal improvement in those 10 things.
Sometimes it takes a teacher to demonstrate 11 through 15 and help you connect the dots to get you to 20.
Then you practice steps 10 to 20.
Etc.
Practice has to be with intention and using your intention has to come from a specific goal with some level of knowledge on how to get there.
I don’t think she’s stuck based on the posts, I think she learned a lot of things very quickly and is coming up with new ideas. However, I agree that getting a teacher for anyone who could afford it would make progress faster. Even the pros have teachers
You make me want to get into electric so bad
Do it to it
She is sooooo good😍 I want her in my band. I don’t have a band, but I would start it for her!
Beautiful sounds, i gonna by my guitar.
Ok but…how was 2016 six years ago? 😭
Fell in love with that last one
Your 2017's finger looks like professional guitarist. I think you're a prodigy or you just found a hidden shortcut. Your second year is better than my 12th year
Yes i agree
My name is Enrique (Quique) I borrowed this cell phone hahaha. You can see that you really like it. that gives you pleasure so with another autodidact... CONGRATS FROM THE HEART. I would offer you to sing with your accompaniment if we're "closer". MUSIC is everything. greetings from Mar del Plata, Argentina. 🙃😊💪💜💜

Ive been trying to figure out but what genre of music would you consider the latest stuff you play? I love the sound and I want to learn to play like that but i dont know any songs that sound that way
we *need* tabs for the last one
Shazam
I just wanna know how much time you spend practicing in a day or in a week 😲 I've been trying but i feel I don't progress 😭
Trust the process 🙏
Spend more time playing instead of complaining

Yea
I don't want to be mean or anything but it really took the lady 2 whole years to learn to play a bar chord 💀
6 years and you could tell it took awhile, not me over here wanting to be a pro in 6 days 😂😭
You got this, even just a few mins a day you’ll see yourself finding ur inner shredder in no time 🎸✨
@mollymcphaul not gonna lie its so true, its miniscule but i feel improved ever time i pick it back up, been at it over a week now and having fun
