      Dom What I'm waiting for is someone to point out that the spurs tried this on kawhi.... Kawhi knew his body, took ZERO chances on his future, and made the best choice to avoid FURTHER injuries. Now dudes like skip blame kawhi as if he gave up on the spurs, and now tried to question KD in the same way. The thing is public opinion/ perceptions heavily influenced KD decision to return after being cleared by the team. The team giving the green light made the public look at kd in anticipation and he came back not ready......THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT KAWHI AVOIDED WITH THE SPURS! It's the ultimate "I told you so" moment, with skip... Skip only cared about the spurs, not kawhi.... In the end who wants to work at a place like that.... Yeah, to save his body and career, kawhi leonard quit on the spurs, and I'm glad he did

      Jeremiah Crenshaw got them the win today but will most likely lead in a loss in the next game, and will end the dynasty. If they don’t win, Klay and Cousins will look to leave and if KD (albeit by a miracle) finds a team that will give him a max in free agency he won’t pick up his option this year and will also be gone.
      All in all, it was short term gain for a huge long term sacrifice. It better pay off for GS, otherwise it was a terrible decision.

    He is the kind of player to come back from this, simply because his game is more about shooting, and is about getting to his mid range spots, and getting in rhythm, spotting up, or working the iso. Golden State can get to the playoffs, and KD can rehab, stay in shape, if he is not good enough to come back, he can decide not to risk it and negotiate for a better contract in 2020. Also, the warrior cap space would change in 2020, and they can get KD long term if they can replace draymond with a center who can spot up, defend at an average level, and work their pick and roll action. Warrior can just keep dray and Klay if KD walks and make additions to the bench.

    - Kawhy just showing everyone what a beast he is
    - Lowry is having a very good series, hustling in every play
    - Ibaka is having an amazing series, both ways
    - VanFleet is having a carrer series comming of the bench
    - Durant got hurt on second round
    - Thompson on game 2 of the finals, missed game 3
    - Curry got his hand messed up
    - Cousins got hurt last year and got hurt again in round 1
    - Iguodala got hurt in the finals
    - Livingston is retiring next year
    - Looney got hurt in the finals
    And still, they got us at least 6 games. It's amazing.

Durant gets an injury, as if to redeem himself for joining a stacked team, takes a pay cut to keep the team the same next year, which is now understandable, not like what Cousins did. You can put a little blame on the fans and the media, but then again no player is gonna put the fans and media ahead of the rest of his career and money among other things.

      1: Everyone was dogging Kawhi Leonard for sitting out the entire season. Only now when there's a case of a Superstar potentially altering the course of their career after he was prematurely cleared to play is Kawhi being given any sympathy for his actions.
      2: If he did sit out, he'd be called a coward and selfish asshole for it, just like he was when he left OKC, especially if Golden State lost Game 5. Fans like to think they have no impact on how players and the NBA itself works, but that's just blatantly false.

    • @afrotrini_
      @afrotrini_ 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Trey Magathan who would call him a coward? If he wasn't healthy, then he wasn't healthy. No one would take that away from him. All it is is that GSW didn't want to lose him and put him into a situation in which he would have to go back to the team.

    • @afrotrini_
      @afrotrini_ 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Trey Magathan apparently the medical staff knew Durant wasn't 100% healthy. Now if they were smarter than that, they would put him onto a minutes restriction and not have him start. The Warriors were just being desperate and put a player's career in jeopardy just to lose when it's all said and done. Another thing I should say is that the Warriors medical staff is among the worst in the league. There's no reason why players keep coming back from injury when they are never 100% (Curry in 2016, Klay, Looney, Cousins and Durant this year) in addition to many of these players getting injured so much (Curry since 2012, David Lee, Durant for the last 3 years, etc.). That's something the staff needs to take care of after this season.

    • @treymagathan847
      @treymagathan847 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Steph Curry issa Bih
      You kinda proved yourself wrong with that final statement about the Warriors' medical staff being the worst in the NBA. When you're making extraordinary claims such as putting a superstar's career at risk in order to advance a sinister agenda, there has to be extraordinary evidence to support the claim. Furthermore, those accused of such claims are innocent until proven guilty beyond the shadow of a doubt. The fact that there isn't any supporting evidence to assume the Warriors did this to KD on purpose as opposed to just being incompetent or desperate is enough to rule the claim as unsubstantiated, but with the Warriors' medical staff's long track record of bad decisions regarding their players' health in both preventing injuries and recovering from injuries, it's more likely than not the Warriors were either just desperate and/or shortsighted. Regardless, that Medical Staff should not be on the Warriors payroll anymore.

    I THINK He'll perform better than expected once he comes back from this Injury. It was his right achilles, not the dominant left one. He would still have better than average Athleticism given that his dominant left leg is still in tact. He is still 7 feet tall with guard skills. Any team would still throw him the max contract he deserves. It won't be a major setback for him.

  • @marcuswilson2818

    It makes sense for the Knicks to max Kd out for like 3 years in the off season. It benefits both teams. The Knicks can tank again since Kyrie and butler are most likely not going there. It give Rj one year to develop with Knox, and since the Knicks won’t be in the playoffs there will be no pressure on Kd to come back. Then when he does comeback in the 2020-2021 season if he’s not the same player they will still have Rj and whatever rookie they get in the draft to build around. If Kd declines his option it allows the warriors to build up there bench slightly because I’m pretty sure they are already close to the cap with steph’s super max and klays looming max. Hopefully with a little more bench help it will lead to the fun 73-9 team we saw in 2016.
