I think after Monica told Val last season what he needs to do, I think he is really taking that into consideration, to make it more fun for his partners instead of getting a little bit upset when they don't get it, and he makes sure now I think, that they get it.
I love the fact that the pros learn just as much as the stars do. Pros will come across different kinds of people who come from different backgrounds, so being patient and really taking the time to know their partner is the real key to winning that mirrorball. I’m glad that Val has done some professional growth over the seasons.

That's what her Mother is to a lot of people, imo. The moment that people start to warm up to Olivia, then the discussion steers around to Lori, and that's like ripping that scab off again. I know Olivia loves her Mother, but Lori is a convicted felon, and a lot of people will never forgive Olivia's family for what they did. Some people will never forgive Olivia either, so why not just steer clear of that subject and just focus on Olivia's accomplishments on the dance floor? That's the bright spot in this experience. It's almost like the industry and it's media wanted to keep Lori fresh in people's minds in prep for a comeback of some kind.
