The Master twist in Utopia could have been made less confusing if Martha had said "his watch is just like the one you had in the Human Nature/Family of Blood 2 parter"
What I enjoy about the Tom Baker bit is that the Doctor apparently likes to call his adventures in his head titles like "Image of the Fendahl" and " The Ark in Space" which means all the episode titles are actually canonically made up by the Doctor so he's just sitting in the TARDIS like "hmmmmm I guess the Angels really took Manhatten there for a second... Yeah I recon thats a good one"
We also see this at work, even though, regrettably, the episode isn't actually called that, in "The Time of the Doctor". The Doctor is blithering on about the mysterious message beaming out from Trenzalore, and then he pauses with a big goofy grin: "oh yes, I like that. 'The Mysterious Message'!"
Remember the Mr Men book that had General Staal invade a planet for sausages? Do you think that's where Chris got the idea for the chocolate scene in the Vanquishers? He's not content with canonising the Morbius Doctors, he wants to take on the Mr Men Books too.
There was almost a Doctor Who/Spider-Man crossover. Dan Slott was gonna write it and it would’ve had the venom symbiote taking over Sontarans, The Doctor and Spidey making sonic web shooters and it would’ve revealed the serum that turns Curt Connors into The Lizard was actually turning him into a proto-Silurian. Slott said the BBC were okay with this but we don’t know why it was cancelled I would’ve loved that
Also, I would absolutely love, love, love if Christopher Eccleston did a mini audio book of the 9th doctor story "A Day to Ourselves" from Wintertime Paradox. Maybe on of my all time favourites.
You also have in All-New, All-Different Avengers Vol 1 issue #6 Miles Morales mentioning Doctor Who to describe a paradox and calling it "timey-wimey stuff".
Beep the Meep.... oh, that takes me back! I wish I still had those comics with the Doctor and Sharron, if not just for nostalgia value. Beep was so vicious, which is probably why it took me a while to warm to Frobisher (I thought the character design was cute, so the thought that Frobisher might be a baddie lingered for a while).

@@SamyulDavis I know Creature from the Pit is infamous for that one specific scene I won’t mention, but Season 17 has so much charm for me as a whole that I can’t dislike any story from it. It has Tom and Lalla back they were at their happiest together, making onscreen chemistry the best it could be. It has Douglas Adams and City of Death. Plus it has some amazing behind the scenes stories with some of the problems with cast and crew. It’s the only classic season where I have all the DVDs, although I don’t know exactly where right now. Definitely due a rewatch soon with my mother who is slowly getting in to Classic Who (she personally loves Troughton, who she calls her beatle man).
Funnily enough I have seen Creature of the Pit on my recently bought season 17 box set. Of all the things one can do on Christmas I never imagined the erotic fever dream of watching Creature of the Pit being one of them.

I was looking more into Marvel handbooks that have info on things related to Doctor Who, and the connection goes even further than what's been covered in this series. I don't want to write a very long comment on it, but I can tell you that the Doctor is also friends with Mr. Fantastic and gave him a TARDIS, the Fourth Doctor randomly appears in an X-Men novel, and that the Brig has a female counterpart on Earth-616.
