    Thanks, I may need to do this, duplicate a timeline and poke around. My last timeline looks great in the app but terrible when I export it (coming out orange, etc.). I suspect the export is looking at color management and blending the results of LUT's and node activity, and getting an odd mix. Not sure. I wonder if I should have skipped the LUTs, focused first on the color management tab selection, then tweaked any nodes minimally and last in the color tab.
    This is a project where I shot on a Sony Camera in ProRes Raw, changed that to Cinema DNG to edit in Resolve.

    Daniel one question Bud! If I have a second monitor and set it up as principal how can move my viewer window to that second monitor. May mvp has a better and calibrated screen but is small which is great to see color grading changes there but to work is better the other monitor bc is bigger. I can't set the mbp as principal bc then it's too small. Any Tipps here? Thanks mate

    • @Daniel_Batal
      @Daniel_Batal  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Once open, just drag your DR main UI to whichever monitor of your choice and then activate the Video Clean Feed.
      It’ll open in the second monitor.

    Can you select which timeline to render?

    • @Daniel_Batal
      @Daniel_Batal  ปีที่แล้ว

      100%
      Whichever Timeline you're working in is what DR is looking at in the Render Settings when you're in the Delivery Page. You could also have two completely different Render & Exports set up in the qeue and export both automatically. You don't need to complete one and then set up the second.

  • @studioplanetesilhouette

    Quick question Daniel, if I may...
    Why is the timeline set to start at 01:00:00 instead of 00:00:00 hour : ?

    • @Daniel_Batal
      @Daniel_Batal  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a broadcast industry thing. But you can change that to start at zero. From the Edit page, right click on your timeline up in the media pool > Timelines > Starting timecode. Maybe I'll make a Short about it for other people with the same question

    • @Daniel_Batal
      @Daniel_Batal  ปีที่แล้ว

    Yes and no. I duplicated a timeline but the assets within it and within the compound clips of the duplicated timeline still link back to their original asset, they don’t get duplicated, thus acting as half duplicate. I need to figure how to create a full carbon copy with duplicated assets, compound clips, effects, keyframes and all

    • @Daniel_Batal
      @Daniel_Batal  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not sure I understand the application but if you're looking to duplicate a project (not a timeline) with all attached assets you want to archive that project.

    • @PointsPlayTravel
      @PointsPlayTravel 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Daniel_Batal I’m looking to duplicate a timeline as well as their compound clips and assets. I sometimes work with “drag and drop” templates for quick projects and when I want to duplicate a “scene” (compound clip) the assets within it link back to original rather than duplicating. I may just work on an additional project and then merge everything, idk

    • @Daniel_Batal
      @Daniel_Batal  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Ah!
      Yeah, compound clips are a pain because we can’t export & save them or put them in power bins.
      Silly, I know.
      Just finished a video on how to work around this which will drop in a few days but the long and short of it is; when you have project manager open, right click anywhere in the Gray area and tick the option for dynamic project switching.
      That will allow you to have two projects open at once, switch between them and copy compound clips or almost anything else from one project to another
