I always liked Krysten's Jessica but she feels so nerfed here. It makes sense that she would hold back against regular foes but her powers still seem very inconsistent.
There’s more than just her holding back against "regular foes". Despite her resistance superior than normal, Jessica is still drinking an insane amount of alcohol on a daily basis. And while it helped her to drown out Kilgrave’s voices from her head, it also deeply affected her capacities. And that’s without talking the fact that she barely uses said capacities unless she needs it, even for the sake of training. She also have no knowledge whatsoever in fighting technics while most of the people she fought with did (she even says so in one of those scenes). Strength is basically useless if you don’t know how to use it properly and just throw punches randomly. I’d love to see Jessica Jones back and see her receiving proper training for her powers and maybe deal with her drinking addiction.
In the comics, she regularly mentions how people underestimate her ("Even Luke" she says). I've always felt her not giving away how powerful she is something she plays to her advantage, and it is why her power levels often seem inconsistent. In all actuality, though, I'm pretty sure it's just inconsistent writing 😂
this is the nerfed version Jessica. remember that elevator scene in the finale? contrasting to the scene where she is put down by some random police dude
They underpowered her When she was an Xman her powers were on point. The only time the showed some of her true power was during the elevator scene. She can fly and hold herself against the Sentinels. They really should consider adding them to the official MCU. It would be a waste not to.
It doesn’t make any sense how she can blast trough a door in one scene, and not completely knock out a opponent with just one punch in the next. Her strength seems so out of place in these fight scenes

For those who don't understand why Jessica fights so lousy its because she isn't really a fighter just like any Marvel characters who knows C.Q.C and she was very alcoholic In the series that's why she moves like that.
Jessica Jones was the best on the defenders and one of the best worked out characters in a Marvel series. Hope they will bring her into the MCU.

My biggest gripe about the defenders show is that they nerfed her and luke cage so hard. She can kill with one punch.
