Stations 2582 and 2583 officially opened on the 2nd of June 2024. On this historic day, I joined in with the opening celebrations at Cameron Bridge and Leven,
which have now joined Britain’s rail network. I catch the very first passenger service on the line, explore the facilities of the stations and speak to fellow train enthusiasts who came here to the Scottish Coast in Fife for the opening.

That was a really lovely video Riku, I did hear on the day that someone got stuck in the lift at Cameron Bridge and when I heard it was you I thought, that honestly sucks, really felt sorry for you. I will admit that I have seen your channel around on TH-cam but this is the 1st time watching one of you videos and defiantly would love to watch more and it was lovely to meet you at Cameron Bridge as well
it was nice to meet you too, hope you had a great time 😊
I was with Simon that day I hope you get some Compensation for being stuck in that lift.
Great video also.
Nice bus shelter!!
Absolutely brilliant video, and very informative 👍
I hope your encounter with the lift didn't spoil your enjoyment
Excellent video - I love your commentary & explanations about the line.
I hope you realise that we’re all now expecting stuck-in-the-lift k level excitement in all your future videos!! 🤣
Very happy to see the Levenmouth Rail link now back in service and ScotRail using Class 170 Turbostar and Class 158 on the new line.
OMG that's JenOnTheMove!!!!!!!!!
lETS GOOOO I LOVE LEVEN
Sorry to hear you got stuck. Although, I guess it secures your place in history! Other than that, I hope you had a good time in Fife and that my fellow Fifers were hospitable.
The current Cameron Bridge station is named after the old station, which was by the distillery. The remains of the platform could be seen in that clip of the DRS Class 20. In a slightly ironic move, the remains of the old station were demolished when the line was rebuilt. I guess a new station was built because there was no room for a large car park at the old site.
I would have been trying to get my finger into every nook and cranie in that lift to try and get out lol!!!! AMAZING VIDEOOOO
Great video with all the required information presented very clearly and precisely.
Somebody has a very bright future in media and/or presenting. A cracking video.
I guess the rather basic and exposed shelter at Leven is fine as its a terminus and most locals will know the timetable soon enough to allow them to almost walk straight on board anyway. An enclosed waiting room could attract the wrong crowds to gather.
Really enjoyed the video 👍🏽 and good to meet you!
My worst fear is getting stuck in the lift! Nice video Riku! : D
i saw you in the lift at Cameron Bridge and when i was shooting on the footbridge and i was like "oh my god its Riku!" then i saw you still in the lift seconds after i watched the short seconds before i started shooting and i couldn't wave as i was shooting and i couldn't go back cuz the train was pulling in, i should of came back and actually spent time at the lift and then filmed with you! sorry Riku! lol
Great video. The issue of the elevator was quite hilarious...
Excellent video great experience apart lift subscribed your channel
Thanks for the sub!
The design of the stations looks very good. However, they are not enclosed which makes them potentially very cold in bad weather. I would like to see them enclosed in glass with a CoreTen corrosion resistant steel cladding similar to the Selly Oak Station in Birmingham.
A great day for seeing the new BR line out.
Nice video
Hopefully there is a new line opening down south (where I am based) in the next couple of years.
Amazing video Riku! I was dying when you were stuck in the elevator with the person playing the bagpipe at the same time 😂
I think you can put any card into the ticket machine (not just the payment card used) and it will issue the tickets. I did this recently.
Great Video Riku as always, Post Notifications are ON. Clicked on this video so quickly LOL. Loved all the drone shots as well as the flawless editing as usual! One day I need to take a trip up to these two new stations as they do seem really cool and seem really nice to visit. I was sobbing when you was stuck in the lift 😂, ScotRail really do want to make a positive experience for all with the bagpipes and formalities! Absolutely loved this video, well done Riku! ❤
Well thats a nice video and I guess you can claim the title of "First Person stuck in a lift on the Levenmouth Line" 😂
nice vidieo Riku!
Just been recommended your Leven video. Great and well produced
Crumbs, first person i think ever to get stuck in a lift at a new station 😂
Well that is nice video rikyu it can fit an 8 carriage class 385 from Edinburgh to leven
As always brilliant videos as well as the edits!
Lovely video, It was great to meet David, Jen, Rob, Stuart Boyd etc on Sunday. I was only there for about 20 minutes after getting the first train from Edinburgh before going back to Haymarket.
Great video, Riku. I'm so sorry you got stuck in that lift at Cameron Bridge station for 2 and a half hours. It was working for me earlier when I went in there. I had a good time at Leven and Cameron Bridge station. It was nice seeing you and all the other railway fans. Wish I thought about getting a picture with you earlier, but I completely forgot. Maybe next time when we somehow bump into each other again.
Great video Riku! I’m a new follower but and watched a bit of your back catalogue as you filmed in the East London goodness, but super happy @jenonthemove continues to support young vloggers who get get stuck in a lift. Legend! Keep on producing the good stuff and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. 🤘🏾
First time watching one of your videos, Interesting video. Liked the fact that you included the location of the line and a brief history. Hope you don't mind me saying this, but if you can afford it use an external mic, as whenever you turned away from the phone, the volume of your voice dropped and became slightly muffled. It would improve the quality of your video, which had great content.👍❤
I use a Sony Vlog Camera for all my videos, but thanks for the tip, I noticed it as well during post production :) Glad you enjoyed the video
10:14 bruh and is a new station, well done you found a Bug.
Ok soooo this video was really good 😊 editing and b roll is fantastic and you provide easily digestable and relevant information, I've been watching a few videos from Leven and this one is the best so far. It really gave me a lift🤔
Great job Riku!🎉
Definably a big moment here in Scotland for the new railway line to Leven opening.👍
i cant believe it isnt electrified!!
Awesome Riku!😍
Nice one Riku 👍
It's always nice to see some of the Beeching cuts being undone, but some of the design and operational decisions we're seeing from ScotRail here are really unfortunate. Lack of a ticket office is never great, and the "nice" angled benches in that platform shelter are hostile architecture. Completely unusable for people like me with musculoskeletal/mobility issues 😕
indeed, the Beeching Cuts stations reopening are great, but I am sorry to hear that these kinds of benches are unsuitable for many people, thank you for making me aware of this. We need to raise these issues as they are very important.
you do realise that that the diagram you see on trainline does not count as a ticket, and you could pay a penalty fare
Another Great video
Hi Riku! Glad you enjoyed Scotland! I actually seen you Stuck in the lift and freed from it at Cameron Bridge! What you doing Braking New Station Lifts!?😂
I keep getting the erge to say eleven line
Nice video Riku. I feel sorry that you stuck in the lift at Cameron Bridge railway station. Are the 170s going to run on the levenmouth line or it just 158s?
Both run in the station
very articulate and great video thanks, but the bag pipes not for me but as were in scotland....
Can you got Cambridge south when it opens
of course! can’t wait for that one :)
Thank you I live in Cambridge and it would be good to see you there
Hope it was worth the 400 miles

News from Dumfries, we don't care.
Trains Station 🚉
Can't a man or woman in a ticket office sell you a ticket, all this mobile app rubbish is getting a bit silly now.
Sorry to hear you got stuck. Although, I guess it secures your place in history! Other than that, I hope you had a good time in Fife and that my fellow Fifers were hospitable.
