    I found out a little later that I had the two ECU pins flipped. The corrected order is in the description:)

      That’s funny. When I hooked up mine from carrot top tuning I had to switch mine also 😅😅. Ps tho you could have used ur WB ecu and drove with it as long as engine is similar mines running an untuned WB Passat ecu on a b5a4. It works nice and the only check engine light that’s on is for the VVT. But no signs of limp or anything and there’s even more power since the boost is bumped up from 8psi to 10 but still not a bad idea to do what you did. I’m sure the motoza tune deleted the vvt so no more codes for that whole system 😅😅

    One thing about this setup you can go mafless. :) I already have my setup for wideband. I have a BEA ECU from an 04 TT. Got my conversion kit from carrot top tuning. Got my Wideband off amazon. All I'm doing now is waiting for my connector rod, bearings and pistons so i can do it all at once. Big power big gains!!!

      Oh that's really cool. Not having to worry about maf wiring helps a ton when putting together a turbo kit. Sounds like your car is gonna be a blast!

      @@HunterDirection I'm just wishing the best of my TT bro. I'm not heavily modded like you just yet. I have everything to go stage 2 tune (currently on stage 1+). But when I'm done with the engine build and supporting mods to handle a stage 3 tune I will be happy. I saw your FMIC vid. Did you removed the headlight washers or you kept them?

    Did you have any issues with the radiator fans? I have a 2001 Audi TT 225 AMU, I picked up an AWP ecu from a buddy to see if it would work for a wideband conversion. After swapping the AWP ecu in the fans pulsate basically, turn on and off continuously as soon as you turn the ignition on….reading online they say to disconnect white wire/pin #61 from ecu connector. Tried that, fans quit pulsating and turning on with the ignition. But don’t seem to turn on when the car gets up to temp. I’m just curious if you have to move any of the ecu pins around for the conversion? For the fan control module….
    I know you have to add the wideband conversion harness into the ecu connectors that’s not an issue. I fully understand that part. If you didn’t have any problems I’m just going to pick up a turbo beetle s ecu because the AWP swap into AMU is just too much of a headache 😂

    What did you do about the BEA wideband ECU looking for the EGT sensor input that the AMU doesn't have? I haven't found much info on this, the BEA has an exhaust gas temp sensor on the turbo so I figured you'll be getting a code for the EGT no signal?

      My engine is an AMU. Also yeah my car doesn't have the typical ecu bracket. Never had it when I picked it up. The ecu slides into some rails in the back and doesn't have much room to move around thankfully.

      I've used Motoza for my past 3 audis and I love them. They offer custom tunes as opposed to off the shelf tunes. That way the tune uses the mods your car has vs generic stages and not really checking how the car responds to the tune. Really good people too. Of the shelf tunes arent bad or anything, but I like the vibe of motoza more personally.

    I tried contacting Motoza a few years ago for my AEB Audi. They basically told me no lol. So I went with Eurodyne Maestro instead. Does Motoza charge for each flash like most companies? Once I go big turbo though I’m going to switch to Haltech Elite.

    • @jdh946
      @jdh946 ปีที่แล้ว

      Likely because most of the early AEB cars ECU's are not flashable over the OBD port. From what I understand you get X number of revisions with your tune through them, you can also purchase more if needed.

    • @DustySteel
      @DustySteel ปีที่แล้ว
