- Just days before the first World Cup of 2024, we joined YT to check out the next iteration of their TUES downhill bike that will be raced this weekend in Fort William, Scotland. After seeing Vali Holl and Jack Moir ripping this off-season on a diaper-wrapped DH bike, we knew it was only a matter of time before the cover came off, and we found out what the new TUES was all about!

Needs a Core 3 with better brakes and descent suspension.
Looks like a tues
Kinda disappointing after all the cover shenanigans they had going on. Also I don't get how this is supposedly "all about adjustment". The adjustment ranges are super limited. More than enough, don't get me wrong, but I don't get why they're emphasizing this aspect when other frames have them beat by a mile in that regard.
Overall it seems to be a minimal evolutionary step for n already pretty dialed bike. Not a bad thing at all, just a bit too much hype behind the whole thing for my liking.
The cover wasnt there for the bike, it was there for rockshox blackbox tech, theres a flight attendant coil floating around
Cool seeing a bike review on a trail I ride all the time. Wish I had a DH bike, but my enduro handles the trail just fine.
New Tues is just ok at best. Other DH bikes are way better. YT be like "Hey guys, new for 2024 we added some flip chips." YT, is that's all you got. You guys covered this bike up for flip chips LMAO.
Could you put this rear end on the previous model? Looks like it could, front triangle certainly “looks” the same…
Im considering my first DH bike...either Tues 2, Canyon CF or Commencal V5
Love my prior gen alu 650 Tues but I am chip-curious. A slightly higher BB sounds intriguing. The bike is so quiet and planted but still pops off lips. I'm wondering if they are still spec'ing a 10.5 shock.
I want one when they do an aluminum 27.5 version to replace my current park bike.
The covers off! What do you think of the new TUES? 🤔
Mind blowing 🥱😴
Why did you even cover it lol
Let me get this straight, you covered this bike up all because you guys added flip chips? Something this bike should've had years ago.
From that point on I think this whole „covering up so no one can see“ is more marketing to gather attention. I mean the flipchip is not a breakthrough technology that we havent seen yet.
I wish they sell frame only.
the diaper-wrapped ones had idlers I thought?
it's a chainguide that lifts the chain. check out vali's bike here with it - www.vitalmtb.com/features/winning-bikes-fort-william-world-cup-downhill-2024
Even more slack. Owners better buy stocks in headset bearing companies
It's funny honestly. YTs are really nice bikes. I have two. Then they put in those garbage handsets, like don't forget this is a bike, it has to have a problem.
@@vlbz brands been finding ways to jew ya since 09' with all the r&d and tech and dual crowns surviving just fine on 1 1/8 headtubes, theres no reason. Why does every orher fork go tapered but the ones with the most forces against em stay straight 1 1/8 and use reducer headsets. Its a slack and steerer issue. Chris king headset and dual crowns on og 1 1/8 never broke. Industry standards not being very standard since theyre changing every few years to make everything cost more and older frames a bitch to modernize
@@RoachDogggJRnot sure I'm following. It is 100% a bad headset issue. Easy swap anyways, and otherwise I'm sure this will be a great bike. The core 2 is an absolute steal. Core 4 is great value as well.
@@vlbz also canyon and propain use cheap parts that fall apart after few rides
I do have a question concerning the chain stay adjustment. If you go from a long to a shorter chain stay, does that mean the actual physical bike chains has to be cut down?
one chainlink is 12.7mm and you increase the length 2x5mm=10mm. how many links you want to ad?
why the fuck does it work out £1200 cheaper to buy in the US over UK ?
I guess to be competitive on respective market? A quick UK vs. US price check on Tr Sess, the difference is even sligtly more. The £ tag is a bigger number than the $ tag, on top of the 25% ex rate diff. You yourself have made an active choice to settle on a small isolated island, get over it! ;)
no Alu bikes? very sad to see
No air shock option, no high pivot and no MX option in my size.....no YT Tues for my freeride style.
yea pretty annoying you can't just buy large or XL MX out the box instead have to buy an new rear wheel as well
YT, wake the f up! Look after your riders. Add the possibility of buying the bike with the extra complete Wheel+Tire+Rotor+Cassette.
