    I love to run combine, at night quail and rabbits running in front real, my combine running was long time ago, 510 Massey rice machine with 28l- 26 rice and cane, 327 gas engine, straight pipes

      I like running at night also the field comes to life! If I remember right my uncle had a 510 I think it had a diesel in it

    For such an old combine that L2 Gleaner does a good job harvesting the wheat

    Take the whole header width, that l2 will take it

    • @dirtgrainsteel
      @dirtgrainsteel  ปีที่แล้ว

      The L2 would handle it but the baler wouldn't even with half a head the windrows were still alittle thick

    When you build your house you should put in a huge front door for bringing in the quad. I see no issue there. 🤣🤣
    In the shop if possible you should put in a lift and waste oil heater.

    Hey, another Brandon 🎉. Why ya only using 2/3 of the head , not enough capacity for that size head? I run 13ft on my MF 850. Dad burned up the 540( best thing he ever did to it) and got a replacement heads would go on

    • @dirtgrainsteel
      @dirtgrainsteel  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm trying to keep the windrows smaller for the baler since we are using a John Deere 24T the pick up head isn't real big the L2 to would handle a full head but 25 feet makes a massive pile lol....my uncle ran some Massey combines and really liked them

  • @michaelisrude
    @michaelisrude ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Why are you only cutting with 2/3’s of the head?Combine thrashing capacity limited?

    • @dirtgrainsteel
      @dirtgrainsteel  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I'm trying to keep the windrows small for the baler a John Deere 24T pick up head is only like 36 inches wide you will see in the bailing video

    are you going to keep feeding your cows year round (hay & corn) at the new place or convert a field to pasture & basically grass feed your cows except in the winter time. my family is hay orientated instead of growing crops. we have pasture to run cows & cut/ bale hay 2 to 3 times a year depending on the weather. I’ve always frowned on feeding cows corn year round. that’s what pasture is for.
