    Create your own Manor House as an amazing centerpiece for Halloween, or for any season! It's large, elegant, and looks fabulously spooky in black, gray and Halloween patterned papers, but you can easily turn it into a "Christmas house" or a pretty "Summer" house by using different color schemes and papers! You also get four different vintage-inspired Halloween cards featuring a black cat, a full moon with a cute face and three sweet, vintage jack o' lanterns! As always, you can easily use each 2D element separately on any project!

    I bet you're wondering now, "well how am I ever going to top this?" LOL. I am totally in awe of your talents.I had to chuckle when you were talking about your Lego house when you were little. I think that explains much!

    Wouldn't it be awesome to create projects that could be combined to make an entire village around this time period. You could create a village for every season. It could be a theme, a new house/building every few months. I love villages.

    You inspire me to try one. I find I get a bit overwhelmed at the amount of pieces but your videos go nice and slow and explain it all very clearly. Thank you!!

    LOL...it is a good thing to already be in love with the house BEFORE watching this. Lots of parts, but absolutely manageable. Thank goodness for the video to compliment the written pdf file that comes with the pattern! You guys are great! Thanks so much. LOVE your videos. They are so professional and fabulous!

    After putting this house together with glue and having it all over my fingers and the house where it is not suppose to be, I would suggest using score tape where ever you can use it, instead of glue. You will be much happier and a lot less stressed, and your house will look 10 times better.

    I noticed that the dormer pieces are not all the same size. Of course I noticed it too late after I had already a cut all of them and assemble them. Some are slightly larger, some slightly smaller, but there’s nothing in the instructions that says where the smaller ones go or the bigger ones. But they will not fit in any of the holes on the other pieces. I made it work by cutting the holes and putting a mat around the actual dormer. Just curious.
    Also, is there an easier way to actually assemble that part of the roof that attaches to the tower on either side. That was a nightmare overall I think it’s gonna be a pretty piece. I’ll post my product when I’m through.

    Mary, you rightfully show you are proud of this house, and you should be! 6 snaps- and a twist!!! I have purchased many 3-d items from you and I have never been disappointed. May I say, putting the numbers into the pieces, so helpful, and just professional. I do have 1 quick question for you. On the Cat Noir card, the kitty cat pieces don't quite fit as pictured when cut at the dimensions. The base piece is listed as 2 inches bigger? It doesn't look that big in the pic? Thanks

    wet glue is the strongest bond you can get once dry, DS tape will work but can dry out and "pop" undone.

    I would really appreciate written directions. I feel like a lot of things are implied and this is a large project. I love the house, but it would have been much easier with written directions.

      I finished it, but I am a reader. It helps to have the text in front of me so I can read the whole thing, then go step by step. I can't do that with a video. I watched the video before I even started then followed along, but it was still confusing for me at times. Thanks for offering to help though. :)

    • @missloriscraftroom
      @missloriscraftroom 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +SteelerNation14 it could be really nice if they gave the cut size that is the hardest thing to do is figure out house to size the pieces.

      I would have to agree. It just kind of jumps into it and you have to pause the video several ties to realize what direction to fold the roof parts and such.

    Im new to cricut, I have seen this several times, Im interested in buying it. but I want to know if a list of materials you need will be given in the down load? does it cut out your siding and windows? I've looked for a list of materials and haven't been able to find one.

      Hi Hailey! Yes, the download includes a PDF Menu document that shows all of the shapes and gives extra information about what's required as well as some additional tips/info. All of the shapes are included for cutting using your personal electronic cutting machine. Please let me know if you need any more help. ~Mary

    Mary, I have followed your pdf instructions for resizing the different components. My question is, ex: when you say 11.4" wide , when I change to that it also changes the height, is that correct ? I want to make sure I have everything in order before I go to cut. TIA

    • @svgcuts
      @svgcuts  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Lindy! Thanks for reaching out! Most cutting machine software will import/open the shapes at the recommended size, so usually, no resizing is necessary.
      If you did want or need to change any of the sizes to what's shown in the PDF Menu or to anything else, you would indeed need to keep the proportions in tact. (Changing the width should change the height too.) Most cutting machine software keeps the shape's height in proportion to its width by default when changed. If yours isn't, there should be a way to do that. For example, if you're using the Cricut Design Space software, you can click on the lock symbol in the "Size" part of the top menu bar to unlock and lock the proportions. When the proportions are locked, changing one value also changes the other. When they're unlocked, you can change one value without affecting the other.
      If you're using a different cutting machine software and would like some more specific information about sizing/proportions, please do let me know. Thanks so much! ~Mary

      Thank you for getting back to me! What I found were some of dimensions in cricut design when I uploaded were different than what your instructions were showing. I'm going to delete the whole file and upload again and leave the dimensions that come up in the upload.
      Thanks again for replying in such a timely manner

    • @svgcuts
      @svgcuts  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lindydavis4775 sounds good! Happy to help! In case you weren't aware yet, there's a file in the Extras folder with the word "entire" in it that contains all of the shapes in a single file. It is easier to upload/insert into the Cricut Design Space software than each individual file/shape. For a much more detailed explanation, please check out this information on our site: svgcuts.com/blog/2020/03/31/how-to-make-our-rainbow-box-card-using-cricut-design-space/ Please let me know if you need any more help. Can you make a smaller version with this svg file?

    • @svgcuts
      @svgcuts  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can refer to the PDF Menu document in your download. It shows the recommended size (or your preferred size) for each shape below it, which you can enter into the W field in the Cricut Design Space software (making sure that the “lock” icon above it is locked). 😌

    Beautiful house but you started after putting windows etc on and also didn’t explain about the bending of the roof….self explanatory if you already done one or know what your doing but for a novice doing her first one! Very disappointed and had to do lots of guess work…it’s probably clear to other people but try explaining about bends in roof and show at least 1 panel being put together please
