    Your content is amazing and so helpful. Thanks for not being "that guy" and trying to get us to buy a course.

    Thank you for your video, I'm in a bit of a pickle I'm hoping you can help of you see this comment.
    Ok so, I found another person's video which was an ok starting point for low content but I didn't know the difference between low and medium content so as I was designing my book it turns out it is more of a medium to high content. It's not just filled with plain lines.
    I wasn't told about using Canva to self publish until after I had started to use bookbolt.
    Now, I don't have a kdp account yet and I haven't published it yet so it's there a way to save my work without starting all over to self publish or am I stuck with only being able to publish to kdp using book bolt?
    I've done a lot of work on a 270 page journal and really would hate to have to start all over in order to also be able to self publish other places outside of Amazon.
    I hope I'm making sense, I'm so new so I feel like I'm all over the place and I'm confused.
    Thank you for your time.

      Hey there! Totally understand your dilemma. You can most certainly try to download your design from Bookbolt as a PDF and import it into Canva to see if you can modify the design. I use Canva's import feature all of the time to modify interiors that I upload from sites like Creative Fabrica. I can't guarantee that it will work, but its worth a shot. Please let me know how it goes.

    What BSR ranking do you need to achieve to make descent revenue?

    • @YourChicGeek
      @YourChicGeek  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey there Anthony! I can just tell you from experience the lower the BSR Ranking the better. Decent revenue is subjective but the revenue that you make is determined by the number of books you sell. Hope this helps.

    I imagine they all have similar interiors so people are picking one based on if they like the cover or not

    I'm a Nigerian, I wanted to open a book bolt account and they demanded for my card number and cvv number.
    How do I go about it please?

    • @YourChicGeek

      Hello there! I believe they give you a 30 day trial and then you can decide whether or not you want to keep your account. You do have to add a credit card on file before you can use their software.

    Hi I accidentally put 24 pages and wanted to do 50-100. How do I go back and change it plus the bleeding. I'm almost finished but I have a bleed/no bleed issue right along with the launch cover lol. But I want to go back and change the page

    Amazon will eventually get flooded with a barrage low content most likely low quality books and take action.

    My question is the legality of these things. If there is some sort of unknown copyright issue, will Amazon notify you to take it down? Or will you just get sued?

    • @YourChicGeek

      Hello there! I recommend doing a USPTO search before adding any names/titles to your designs and also making sure that you have commercial licenses to your designs as well. Hope this helps!

    If you had created a book cover in Canva how would you import into Book Bolt? Or would not bother with Canva and do all your designing in Book Bolt?

    • @YourChicGeek
      @YourChicGeek  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there Anthony! So you can do either or. I think it depends on what kind of book cover you are trying to design and how intricate the cover needs to be. For simpler designs, I would def recommend Bookbolt. For more intricate designs, I think Canva would work best as you have access to more features and design elements. Hope this helps!

    Great video! I feel confident to just go and do it now. The only thing I ask for a newbie like myself is that you always explain the options you chose i.e. bleed vs. not bleed or ACN (I think?) that you mentioned under Book Scout. I have to go look that up now :-). Thank you for the video!

    • @YourChicGeek
      @YourChicGeek  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Glad it was helpful! So basically bleed is where you add extra space for your content to get printed to the edge of your pages without getting cut off. Whereas with no bleed your content doesn't go beyond a certain point.
