Yes and without our DJ'"S i think the whole nightlife would be different worldwide, if we do our best, we can make a song which is every year standing in the top 5 of the Eurovision, with our DJ s Tiesto , Armin van Buuren , Martin Garrix, Hardwelle and Afrojack , just like Zweden with Avicci and the Swedish house Maffia, and France has David Guetta , if those guys interfere then they al make winners !! Martin Garrix from the netherlands have now made a really good song with Bono from U2 for the EK football !!

Not small by talent and capability. The NL showed the world how the Eurovision can be done right. Talented presenters, amazing home grown talents and a production that was just out of this world. NL should be hosting every year

Because The Netherlands are below sea level the dutch are specialis in watermanagement, the organisation ask Davinato write a song about the water, this is the result, so proud to be dutch. Its a beautifull song, she killed it, she could won the song contest but she is not in the competion. She was a gast preformer
Not our whole country lies below sealevel about a quarter Mostly the coastal provences Noord- ( North) Holland, Zuid- (South) Holland and Zeeland. The video looked like a tsunami and the water was very high, that was a little overdone. But it could be possible when we do nothing against climate change. It was filmed in the provence of Zeeland ( yes the provence where New Zealand is named after ) at the Deltawerken (Deltaworks) . Big storm surge barriers against the Northsea can be closed during a storm.

I don't know why, but I think this was nothing more than an introduction of Davina to Europe. And she'll be next years participant for the Netherlands. Would be a smart move.

The night the NL saved televised music events and I dare say restored credibility to the Eurovision. There hasn’t been a pre corona music event that can come anywhere close to the show that was put on here.

Here in the netherlands we all agreed that we should have thrown davina michelle in her vocals are fire she is an icon. Our song could have never beaten the other countries and thats on period.
I was SO proud to be Dutch when I watched eurovision, the Dutch television companies nailed this entire show. Davina is amazing, she deserves all the attention she's getting now.

Did you knew that when in other countries there is the Eurovision.. then the stages are all Dutch made..!? I think because that we are making the best for all things just like to fight the water(seas) as you could see in the video from Davina 😉
That moment where the video material starts of the wave nearing the storm surge barrier is what got me, that was an insanely well produced piece lifting the already insanely good song to a whole other level. I started watching this performance with a heartbeat of 60 and ended at almost 100 beats per minute! 😱

She made us very proud in the Netherlands, and this song touches us Dutch people because we know the meaning of the song as she sings about the battle we fight already for centuries against rising water (sea level) the Netherlands is mainly below sea level and so yes the sea is our biggest enemy with the rising water.

This was the interval act on the first semifinal of the Eurovision contest 2021 in Rotterdam.
Since we are a country with lots of land below sealevel its a tribute to the water.
Fun fact de dam featured is the Oosterscheldedam, the mighty dam largest in the world that can withstand lots of meters of high tides to keep the land save behind it.

She was not in the race at all. She didn't want to perticepaid. This is a in between points song. She blew all others of the stage. Would have won easaly. At the finales Glennis Grace will perform the in between points break. She Will top this.
1. She may not participate cause the cost of organising such big events.
2. Glennis grace hasn't performed that good. She didn't blow davina away. Glennis grace did a step too far at the and that didnt sound good.
this song has a deeper meaning then a lot of people realise. The dutch people are the masters of water.

Hahaha, remember Nephi, that you were reviewing Dutch artists and used to ask something like: "is it something they put into the water that they have so many great singers/artists in such a small country?" It's all coming together in this clip/performance I guess. We Dutch people are always living with the power, the nourishment and the many expressions of water, wether Solid (icy), liquid (fluidity) or volatile (vapor). I'm living near the sea barriers in a part of The Netherlands that has been flooded many times.

The performance is inspired by the 'waternoodsramp' in the Netherlands. The Netherlands has the best water management system in the world since it is the only country in the world that is below sea level. The video shows the imporant relationship between the country and the massive destructive force of water.

Well Hi Nephi, Davina was singing a cover fromPink about 2 years ago, Pink saw this video and invited her to sing with her when she was in The Netherlands for her tour the rest is history. Davina is at the moment one of our best singers as she proved with this performance,as interval act, at the eurovision songcontest look her up at you tube and you will find more beatiful songs of her.

The song is about the relation between the Dutch and water. We live under sea level close to sea. We love the water, it brings us much, we hate the water because more Dutchies died in the past 1000 years by flooding than by all our wars combined (including the longest war of independence in human history). In the end, we respect the water and continue to defend against it with the best technology we can master. I think that was the message of the song.

The woman in the beginning is the talented Dutch actress Thekla Reuten! Davina is amazing! Here I it make me extra proud that I'am Dutch! Because this performence was amazing! The entire show was amazing and so good!
She's definitely overqualified by now but yeah it is a dream to have Davina represent us in the Eurovision.
The song really is about two things,
One: The fact so many in the world lack water, whilst others have more than an abundance of water and that we should try to share.
Two: The horrors the Dutch have suffered from said water, the Disaster, yes for us in The Netherlands it's The Disaster(Watersnoodramp) of 1953, after a severe storm the sea defences of the Netherlands failed and almost 2000 people lost their lives due to the floods. After this, we Dutch decided to never again allow this to happen and we constructed the worlds largest and most elaborate sea surge defence system ever, called the Deltawerken(Delta Works) and the Zuiderzeewerken(Zuiderzee Works) which turned the Zuiderzee into the IJsselmeer(Lake IJssel) and created the land now called Flevoland, which is 545 sq miles of land conquered from the ocean.
Nowadays many Dutch companies build dams and surge protections all over the world and even reclaim/conquer land from the ocean, for example in Dubai and we are regarded as the best hydro engineers in the world, which we all have to thank to our historical struggles with water and our connection to it.

The song is about the eternal struggle between the Dutch and the water, but also about all the good the water gave to netherlands. A kind of love hate relationship. The Netherlands have learned to control the ocean and rivers, without losing the respect the water deserves. The interval showed one of the modern wonders of the world: the Oosterschelde kering, part of the deltaworks. It protects the low lands against high tide and storms, but still lets the salt water through to protect the ecosystem in the delta
Het is niet de Oosterschelde kering in de clip maar de Haringvlietdam tussen Voorne Putten en Goeree-Overflakkee.
