An older song that Amy loved. When Halestorm and Evanescence first toured together, Amy sang this with Lzzy. During lockdown, Amy came on one of Lzzy's streams remotely, and they sang this with Lzzy on keyboards. They decided to make it official and record this duet.
If you want to continue your Lzzy "train" with hearing her sing softly (and very beautifully), I recommend you listen to "Song of women", where she sings with The Hu. it is incredible !
When Amy showed up for this recording, she did not realize Lzzy wanted to do it together live. The blend you hear is as they are. I heard them perform this live, and it was stunning.
Great reaction, thank you. The one thing that most reactors don't point out with this is that when Amy joins Lzzy the first time for the chorus she sings a key under Lzzy, then when they do the chorus together for the second time, Amy flips up to sing a key above Lzzy. It makes the song so much more dynamic and sounds awesome.
This song has 3 versions. They sang it a few times about 11 years ago when they met at a festival where they sang together, then in a podcast during the covid pandemic
Halestorm grew up a few miles away from where I went to college in PA, so they would randomly be on the local radio station during a "new local bands" segment they had. It's cool to see how popular they have become since then. (this was like 2009+)
I first discovered the magic of Lzzy and Amy singing this together when I saw a live recording of Amy joining Lzzy on stage at an outdoor festival. This studio recording many years later is next level!
Another fantastic collaboration with Lzzy is "Terrible Things" featuring Ashley McBryde, whose country vocals take this already great song to a higher level.
I highly recommend you listen to more of halestorm's ballads they are my favorites. A couple recommendations off the top of my head 'here's to us' and 'beautiful with you'.
Awesome this is a song I had lined up before the internet said no the other day. I knew you'd like it. Another great Lzzy collaboration is with Daughtry Worlds Apart by Journey.
This song really caught me off guard I love lzzy's hard rocking vocals. 🔥I was shocked how beautiful Lzzy sang this song and having the incredible Amy Lee dancing all over her vocals with those beautiful harmonies was stunning. 🔥Thanks for reacting to this beautiful song. 🤘🔥
@08:57 - HELL YEAH! If I didn't know better I'd say they were kindred spirits! Amy is a bit lower in the Alto range than Lzzy but they can both sing in the same range and that ability to change among each other the levels in the harmony, with each providing their own tamber? THAT is what makes this song so AMAZING!
That was dope! I’ve seen a performance between this pair before with Amy on keys also amazing! Oh and +1 for Sophie Lloyd, she’s an amazing guitarist, her debut album is great, made with guest artists top notch! Lzzy Hale is featured in Imposter Syndrome!
I actually heard this for the first time back when lzzy and amy announced it on “raise your horns” with lzzy hale. I played it to my then fiancé and it was our first dance song
This song sounds like it is being sung to a lover. But it is a song Lzzy wrote to her fans. It is about how she feels being on stage and the connection she feels with the fans. Thus the line " Hold your lighters in the air and bring me back home" I see some great suggestions below for softer Lzzy Hale songs. So I would like to add The HU ft. Lzzy Hale - Song of woman I see you have done a reaction to the HU. But believe me this is a different side of them. They also have another softer song with the singer LP called Mother Nature. Just pick the version that says ft, LP as there is a version without. Both of these songs are epic.
Lzzy Hale is my Queen. legit can sing just about anything. sing Whitney Houston after "screaming" all night and it will sound just as clean as if she sang it first during the concert. she can do Ann Wilson too. like its unreal.
omg, I think i might have suggested this one for you! This is an absolute powerhouse track, and Lzzy and Amy's voices go PERFECTLY together. I am always moved to tears at hearing how beautiful this song is. I would love to do a tag-team karaoke on this, if i could only sing, haha. Thanks for doing this one, Rachael!!
Decades ago I heard Alison Krauss and immediately I thought of the sirens from Greek mythology. I didn’t think anyone else could possess a voice that would lure me to the rocky shore. Then I heard Amy Lee. Separately these ladies are powerhouses. Together they’re unstoppable.
What's amazing about this is this is Amy's song and she's just like, "No you take the song" She's not intimidated, she doesn't need to try to match Lizzy's power (like who could). Amy realized she could make Lizzy sound BETTER and that's the touch of a true artist who knows who she's working with. Incredible.
It's such a shame Halestorm reactions don't get more views! I'm glad you did them regardless. It at least helps bring more people to your channel from searches like me :). I get chills every time I hear their harmonies.
Their new record, "Back from the Dead", has a song called "Raise Your Horns". it is absolutely gorgeous and might be my favorite slow song of theirs, rising above even this and Familiar Taste of Poison! (hard to choose though!). Would definitely recommend checking it out! It shows off her incredible range in a way I've rarely heard before. (The whole album is amazing as well!)
The Warning toured with Halestorm and Lizzy went on stage and gifted Dany from The Warning a guitar with Dany’s specks. Lizzy in several interviews praised The Warning. You need to do more of The Warning and more of Halestorm, and try Nemophila.
Well outside of America, peanut butter and jelly (jam) do not go together, so not sure thats a good analogy 🤣 Secondly, please give Sophie Lloyd a listen. UK guitarist who has just released her debut album full of guest vocalists and musicians. You could start with Imposter Syndrome which features Lzzy Hale, then move to Runaway with Michael Starr ... then go from there.
Well, outside of America, they all have absolutely no taste for one of the best pairings in the history of the universe 🤣 Talking about fantastic pairings... these two beautiful souls and the power and emotion that comes through in their voices had me in tears from the get-go. I'm definitely going to have to look into Sophie Lloyd. I always love me some good guitar, and an artist debuting an album full of guest musicians and vocalists sounds immensely intriguing. To have the confidence in your own abilities and yet knowing that you can't do it all on your own, and bring in other various talents to make your work that much better sounds pretty damn cool.
@@jasonlaviolette2964 You mean outside America they have actual taste. Tried it once and it was absolutely rank. Two things that really really do not belong together. Just like pineapple on pizza.
@@caphowdy666 Has to be jelly, not jam or preserves, and it has to be grape. Also have to get the ratios of peanut butter and jelly correct, and definitely peanut butter on both slices of bread. There is an art to the PB & J sandwich 🤣 I'll agree with you on the pineapple pizza. Fruit doesn't belong on pizza. For me, neither do vegetables. Just give me lots of meats on my pizza! lol
Just stumbled upon this. Don't know much about halestorm. But it's a pretty straight forward song. Lzzy isn't all that, Amy Lee makes it worth keep watching this. Sorry for all Lzzy fans.
Please react to Evanescence latest singles from their 2021 album THE BITTER TRUTH... songs like Better Without You.. Wasted on You or Use My Voice are worth reacting to
Don't start off by saying you already watched the video and liked it. You're taking away the experience of the viewer watching your first reaction. Just food for thought I guess
Fire the camera man! Two beautiful women and he captures the worst angles to make them look aweful! I get it, natural but really,? Someone with an IPhone could do a better job!

Awesome! I didn't know this collab had such a backstory.
If you want to continue your Lzzy "train" with hearing her sing softly (and very beautifully), I recommend you listen to "Song of women", where she sings with The Hu. it is incredible !

I refer to this as a perfect symphony of sound.. their voices separate is beyond amazing.. but together there is no words
Lzzy is incredible in her own right, but when Amy joined in it literally brings tears to my eyes every time.🥲❤️
Great reaction, thank you.

Not much I love more than when 2 masters of their respective arts collaborate together.
I first discovered the magic of Lzzy and Amy singing this together when I saw a live recording of Amy joining Lzzy on stage at an outdoor festival. This studio recording many years later is next level!

This one is the one that got me back into Halestorm more seriously.
I highly recommend you listen to more of halestorm's ballads they are my favorites. A couple recommendations off the top of my head 'here's to us' and 'beautiful with you'.
Raise Your Horns nearly always makes me cry. I saw them live last year and both that and Break In got me crying during their show.
This is a great collaboration with Lzzy and Amy. You’ll have to react to Lindsey Stirling and Amy Lee on “Love Goes On and On”.
Awesome this is a song I had lined up before the internet said no the other day. I knew you'd like it. Another great Lzzy collaboration is with Daughtry Worlds Apart by Journey.

Dany from The Warning di a wonderful acoustic version of this on Instagram live a couple of years ago. There are videos of it on TH-cam.

You should hear the cover that Dany from The Warning did on acoustic guitar.

I watched Lzzy here in Brazil once and her voice is stunning. Amazing
I can always count on you getting the best versions!! Perfect!!!!!!S2
Love Halestorm!!! Lzzy has so much to see if you get a chance! This duo is Amazing!!
This gives me chills every single time, what a BEAUTIFUL duet 💕💕💕💕💕💕

Simply two of the most skilled singers and musicians
Iv seen them in concert, well worth the money.
every time Amy sings her first note, i immediately get chills 🙌

As much as I love Lzzy’s vocals, every time Amy comes in…
Goosebumps. Everytime!
Goosebumps
Beautiful i cry every time, im a pretty tough guy but i love Beautiful
I highly recommend checking out Halestorm doing an acoustic cover of Heart-All I Wanna Do Is Make Love To You!
Love them so much. Wish Amy had more solos . She is beyond amazing. Listening to her for over 20 years. This is a beautiful tune ❤❤❤
I love this song so much. It gave me the feeling of the love I've never had.
Finally! I knew you'd love this one!
Hey very nice reaction :) at 7:08 you can clearly hear their voices melting into one....

They have done this live together. But haven’t seen good recordings of it because done with cell phones.
You should check out We will rock you Lizzy Hale, Taylor Momsen, and In this Moment.
A favorite of mine as well.💞
@3:00 - OMG Lzzy and Amy together is frankly orgasmic! Can't wait to see what follows in this vid!
