I really felt the need to comment and say I’ve tried over 50 recipes and this recipe is the only fool proof Aatayef recipe that actually works!!! Thank you for sharing!
By far the best Qatayif recipe I have made! I’ve tried 3 different recipes before this came up on my feed, I’m very glad it popped up. Everyone loved them! Thank you for the great recipes!!! ❤️🌺
Just want to add a comment that your recipe is amazing as Ive tried 3-4 different doughs for this before and failed. Yours was flawless. I need to work on my sizing better and get better fillings then I had on hand. Thank you so much for this recipe!
Such a good recipe and perfect instructions. My siryan friend gave us some few days ago. My kids been asking for more ever since. I’m going to make some tomorrow.
This recipe was pretty decent for me. I followed the instructions except added mahlab spice because I like the flavor. I would make it again as I live in high altitude and Qatayef is hit or miss here when it comes to batter recipes. I also Omit any blossom water. Since I’m in 5,280 feet above sea level, it’s recommended to leave the batter to rest after blending for no more than 14 minutes. I left Mine for 20 minutes Vs one hour and it was too much. Also, it makes a pretty decent amount and Since I’m busy working, I was Able to freeze the extra cheese stuffed Katayefs that I made. I’m going to use this recipe again, but only let the batter rest for 12 minutes next time and see if it turns out better. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the recipe. Maybe I made these too small but there were millions of them.(40ish?) For 7 people it took two sittings to finish them all. Some maybe want to half the recipe.
I trying to make it right but they won’t stick together?? I have a hard time doing that can you give me a tip cause like they dryed and won’t close thanks girls
Love the video, I’d like to make it for a party, should I have them prepped from before and fry them right before serving, OR frying them before few/ 5+ hours before serving would cause qatyef to get soggy?
Madiha Tukdi hi :) I would definitely recommend to prep before and have them covered so they don’t get dry and fry right before serving , they will still be okay fried ahead of time but won’t be crispy! Thank you for watching :) let me know how they turn out
PLEASE HELP! My dough is not like yours (loose and runny) instead mine is thick, gooey and almost gummy like texture 😌 idk what I’m doing wrong. Water temperature? Am I supposed to activate the yeast first? I just added the dry yeast in to the blender as you did. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong i blended for 5 minutes. Please any suggestions would be wonderful!
- PTXtreme - Yes you can def bake them just bake at 350 until Golden but when they are baked they will not turn out as crispy as they would when they are fried ! But they still come out delicious:)
Haneen D I never tried it with instant yeast but it should work and no you wouldn’t have to wait the hour but I’m not sure if this way they would come out the same
Muslim is a member of the religion Islam and they can be from any part of the world and have many different cuisines depending where they live...they don’t have “Muslim food”...this would be considered Arabic or Middle eastern food...and yes the sweets tend to be on the greasy side...but most cuisines have greasy sweets and foods...Americans fry Oreos as a desert 🤷🏻♀️ now that’s greasy lol

I trying to make it right but they won’t stick together?? I have a hard time doing that can you give me a tip cause like they dryed and won’t close thanks girls
If you want to freeze them, do you just put them in the freezer after you’ve stuffed them?
Kara Kate S Yes that is correct :)

how long can I keep it in the fridge if I make it for a party
as I'd have to make a lot
Will coarse semolina work well for this?

I had the same issue just now but I didn't have a blender I used an immersion blender instead... maybe my water was too hot...
What happened to the one with nuts?!!!
My ones broke 🙁 and also didn’t seal properly so when frying the cheese oozed out took agess🥺
Could you bake them instead to get them crispy and use less oil, if so, how would you do that?
- PTXtreme - Yes you can def bake them just bake at 350 until
Golden but when they are baked they will not turn out as crispy as they would when they are fried ! But they still come out delicious:)
💜💜🌙
Would it still work if I use instant yeast? And if yes would I still have to wait a hour?
Haneen D I never tried it with instant yeast but it should work and no you wouldn’t have to wait the hour but I’m not sure if this way they would come out the same
How would you store these and reheat them?
C H hi :) you can freeze them before frying and fry them when your ready
Why did you soak the Spanish cheese?
Unicorn Vloggers to remove salt
Hi love can you tell me what you use to edit
Hi! I use iMovie :)
🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🥰
BOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
I just made this and I feel like it came out thick it doesn’t look like yours I added milk hopefully it still comes out good
Depending on where you live, I would Avoid the milk. I cant Add milk where I live. It would ruin it. Altitude matters.

Tried it in Israel! Delicious! Love Israel! Shaloom!

Muslim food looks greasy
Jay Ryans it’s middle eastern food 😁 I don’t think there is such thing as Muslim food , just like there’s no such thing as Christian food
