What a fun NYE story. My husband and I did this, mistakenly, one time when we were staying at a hotel and wandered into this party that wound up being a high school reunion for people my parents’ age. At first we were embarrassed because we are not the type of people who want to be the center of attention. But they were so much fun and it was a blast. We danced and had such a good time. Sometimes spontaneous mistakes like this are better than super planned events where you already know exactly what to expect. Glad y’all had fun!

my new years was actually incredible. spent time with my moms side of the family who i’m so so close with.. playing games and then we all had confetti poppers when it hit midnight and there was sooooo much confetti just raining down it was so special and then me and my aunt went outside and IT STARTED SNOWING and there were fireworks in the distance…like it was the most magical moment

As for a show recommendation: I recently watched ‚the empress‘ it‘s a german netflix production but it surely is available in english/ on Netflix US and it just won the international emmy for the best series and it was just amazing 🥰 lots of romance, family intrigue, drama & it‘s based on a true story (the one of Austrian empress Sisi). Also saw some people recommending the OC, which also is an amazing show! (completely different, though 😅)

Okay, I know I am so late, but a show I think you may like is Reign. It is available on Prime Video right now, and it is based on Queen Mary of Scotland, but the main focus of the story is drama, her love life, and the love life of other characters in the show
STEPHH, I need you to watch Fleabag, I promise you'll absolutely love it. It gives me major normal people vibes, mostly in the second season, in a right person, but they can't be together way. I literally binged it in 2 days and all the characters are so well-written and developed. Hope you love it xx
if you‘d wanna get into kdramas because the romance is overwhelmingly good there, i‘d recommend: - business proposal (fake dating, parody on kdrama clichés) - rain or shine/ just between lovers (tearjerker, trauma, strangers to soulmates) - twenty-five twenty-one (best friendships, strangers to friends to soulmates, fencing) - it‘s okay to not be okay (mental health, family, mystery, hate/ love relationship)
definitely recommend dawson’s creek as a binge show! the character development and the ships are obsessive haha i was so sad when it was over and its short and sweet
I literally finished that show a few weeks ago and I'm still not over it; I feel empty. I'm in the same bandwagon as Steph I literally have nothing to watch. I feel like I've watched all the teen dramas and now I'm stuck.
for acne prevention, I think you need three things in your routine: 1. cleanser with 2% salicylic acid 2. moisturiser for sensitive skin (no extra active ingredients are necessary) 3. a retinoid (vitamin a) you only apply at night I also would worry more about the type of makeup you're wearing in terms of causes of break outs. I don't use bb creams or liquid foundations any more because I found they were causing me to break out. I like foundation sticks better. I use neutrogena's acne stress control cream cleanser and have been for like ten years, twice a day. then I use cerave's face lotions for day and night. Then apply a small amount of Differin (retinoid) all over my face only at night. this is important because Differin doesn't work as a spot treatment but as a preventive treatment so it needs to go all over. consistency is key and you can add in things to this routine but make sure you check what active ingredients are compatible with each other. I also use 10% niacinamide serum for example. but your skin journey is a long one so keep at it!
Idk if u have seen it yet but THE ARTFUL DODGER IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING LIKE OMFG ITS SSOOOO GOODDDD it’s on Hulu and it’s only 1 season ( so far at least )
Hiii steph, some advice on dnf-ing books. I used to have the same mentality when it came to finishing books but then I started using storygraph on top of goodreads and found it easier to dnf books as it considers the pages you have read for books you dnf-ed. Its really helpful because it makes you feel like you didn't completely waste your time. P.S. You can also make dnf shelves on goodreads. Just go to the shelf settings via the website (so not the app as it doesn't have this function, idk why lmaoo) and mark the dnf shelf as exclusive. And then it should appear in the same format as your other default shelves ie. want to read, currently reading and read. Hope this helps hehe

Most people say they got bored because it’s just them hanging out but the reason I love it is cause I love the characters and their dynamics.
