Slītere National Park - PRIMEVAL FORESTS AND ANCIENT SEASCAPES

In the north-west of Latvia, at the very northern tip of Kurzeme Region, is the smallest of Latvia's four National Parks - Slītere National Park. It was created from one of the first protected natural areas in Latvia - from Šlīteres nature monument, founded in 1923.
This national park is also called - an open-air museum of geological history of the Baltic Sea.
