North Vidzeme Biosphere Reserve - FROM LAKE BURTNIEKS ALONG THE SALACA TO THE SEA

North Vidzeme Biosphere Reserve is one of the largest protected natural areas in Latvia. It is located in the North Vidzeme Region, where fields are interspersed with vast forests. It covers almost 6% of the territory of Latvia.
