    Works great if you pay attention to instructions. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxviiltW7NlHbp_VL_bLbIkbLAvILVhnia For those that complain about "mushy" or "wet" rice I suspect they are using the included cup to measure rice (which is really only 3/4 cup) and then putting in water using a separate measuring cup that is a full cup. This results in too much water and you will get mushy or wet rice and think it is not done. Just use the included cup for both rice and water, or your own measuring cup for rice and water according to your package directions. It will come out fine. I've used mine for years for brown and white rice. If your machine is bubbling white froth out of the steam vent then it means you should have rinsed your brand of rice first to remove some of the starch. Sheesh. Makes me wonder how people can cook well enough to feed themselves.

    • @MAXimizeyourcooking

      RTFM, 1 cup of rice, you need approx. 1 and half cup of water. 2 cups of rice, you need 2 and 3/4 cups of water. 3 cups of rice, you need 4 cups of water.

    Normally jasmine rice to water ratio is different than what your water level mark says. Those marks are for short grain rice.

      Yea, you can easily cook sushi rice in it. It even has a sushi rice button, however, I would test a few batches of sushi rice to determine exactly the amount of water you should put in it! :)

    Why my brown rice take long to boil & cook??

    • @romance698
      @romance698 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Brown rice needs more time to cook and a little more water. The rice cooker has a special program for this rice and it is perfectly normal that it takes more time to cook.

  • @larrysimonson1958
    @larrysimonson1958 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Do you put hot water in cooker

    • @MAXimizeyourcooking
      @MAXimizeyourcooking  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is not necessary to do but could help speed up the cooking process. The rice cooker will regulate everything. I don't know much about the difference it would make. If anything, that amount of time the rice soaks (which is always a good thing to do) would be less.

    • @stevenxia2944

    I will still never trust Panasonic, everything I get from them just dies within a year or 2, got a Philips grain master, works great. But will get a Zojirushi IH model in the future, or a Tiger, the best two brands for rice cookers.

    • @stevenxia2944
      @stevenxia2944 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For me, it is rather opposite. Lol. Bought a Philips electrical toothbrush, it stopped recharging and working and finally just DIED after 3 months!!!!!!
