Raw and Candid | EP 4: American Jesuits Take Over

In celebration of July Ignatian Month and the closing of the landmark Ignatian Year, Jesuit Communications Foundation and Radyo Katipunan 87.9 FM present: "Raw and Candid: Philippine Jesuit History as told by Jesuit Legends"; a series of never-before-seen interviews with legendary pillars of the Philippine Jesuit Province as they speak about the history of the Jesuits in the Philippines.
Featured in this video is Fr. Francis Clark, SJ, the first Provincial Superior of the Jesuits in the Philippines when the Jesuit Mission here finally became an Independent Province in 1958.
As Provincial, he envisioned that the Jesuits here should have their own theologate. This would become a reality in 1965 when the Loyola School of Theology first opened its doors under the supervision of Clark's successor Fr. Horacio de la Costa, SJ.
