I was watching Carlos live and during the encore the drummer was becommin visably tired. Carlos went behind the drum kit and touched his back, and it was lightning had struck. The drummer and the whole band had a new energy. That is the spirit that you hear in his guitar.

Carlos Santana and SRV are definitely two of my all time favorites. Carlos plays straight from his heart. Thanks for another great reaction video!

I was twelve year old in 1970 when I heard Santana and Black Magic Woman on the radio. His sound was different and I was drawn to it immediately. As years passed heard more of his music and liked it all. Then saw him live in Anaheim California in 1979 and two or three more times in the 1980s in Chicagoland. I have seen hundreds of concerts and Santana’s sit high on the list of favorites. He is one of my top favorite guitarists but what I also loved so much seeing him live was his percussion section.

Prior to Europa, in the Abraxas album, he performed "Samba Pa Ti", it was the first solo track he played and it was a huge success back in the day. Europa was a second attempt to perform a solo track but it was never like Samba. I personally like both but it is undeniable that the first was the one. In the same album, Gitano, there's a song called Dance Sister Dance that it would be worth for you to react to. This album was the transition from the usual Santana's latin rock sound into a more elaborate and intimate music, due to the friendship developed between him and John MacLaughlin, frontman of Mahavishu Orchestra, who introduced Santana to his free-jazz, progressive-symphonic rock (there's a Santana album called Caravanserai, where you'll be able to appreciate the result of this partnership). So if you have the chance, react to it, you surely won't regret it. Have a big hug alongside my blessings.
