LETS SMASH 1.2K 👍✅
SHARE YOUR PREDICTIONS
As a Luton Town fan, I will admit we are last with Oxford United 😅
I think the Northern Championship stadiums are the best
1st Elland Road
2nd Stadium of Light
3rd Hillsborough
4th Bramall Lane
5th Deepdale
6th Pride Park
Hull city , leeds , sheff wed , sheff utd , YORKSHIRE BEST
The CBS will never beat Highfield Road for the older Coventry City fans
Even for those of us away fans who went there a long time ago. Highfield Rd was a very good stadium.
Loved the old Highfield ground as an away supporter
I said this to matt sb ages ago now , highfeild rd was a away ground you looked forward to going to .
Highfield Road in the corner between the West Terrace home fans and the away fans was great. Portsmouth fans liked it so much they tried to join us!
Completely agree with Portsmouth being underrated, pompey John and his bell are iconic
I love John, he is my mate and I have many pictures with him, I am Pompey til I die, I believe we are brilliant despite our tiny stadium.
I would agree with all of this, spot on! Brilliant video
As a Luton Town fan, I will admit we are last with Oxford United 😅
as an Oxford fan, I agree. both have character tho lol. but we are buying a new one
We'll do swapsies, i think kenilworth is kinda neat and our stadium is an irredeemable sh*thole

Cardiff city stadium💙💙
All Wednesday ant we all ala
Elland Road, The Stadium of Light, Hillsborough, Fratton Park and Carrow Road are my top 5
Hillsborough is an absolute rust bucket
Hillsborough stadium is better than E,R mate
@@MarkPitsmoorOwl joker
Fratton park spelled backwards is krap nott arf
Plymouth Argyle and Pompey both decent in my view
Amazing video ⚽️
Love that you love Fratton Park. Look forward to your match day vlog PUP 💙
For history, a guaranteed full house and a great atmosphere it’s the revamped Fratton Park.
Fratton park will be electric with more away fans in the Championship! Bring it on.
As a Swans fan looking forward to visiting fratton park again. Went in 2009 for the FA cup match, had a great away day
Stadium of light is definitely up there. Those fans are LOUD
not when we beat them 5-1
mate who do you even support?
@@dan_marshall8949 blackburn
@@halfaspolishmy bad boy sorry to be disrespectful
thank you matt
Based on character and atmosphere id go for qpr , leeds and pompey as the best grounds to visit (swansea fan ) , despite everyones comments our ground is usually great for banter and atmosphere despite being on the smaller size
Isn't Pride Park the same stadium build as Middlebro? But with more fans?
Leeds, Sheffield Wednesday and Norwich City are great
Fratton Park is a lovely stadium and has lots of character
Bournemouth was the smallest in the premier league , with the new Bobbers stand and safe standing in the Oak road stand, Luton went above them 😊
Vitality stadium 11,379
Kenilworth Road 12,000.
Looking forward to seeing you at Fratton park 🙂
Stadium of Light No.1 Riverside 18th Fratton Park 2nd Elland road 12th
riverside 18th and sunderland 1st, wonder who you support😂
Elland road 12th ? You loon
Girls dont look that good in Sunderland mate so cant be up here
Does Fratton Park still have the goal posts on top of a hill? What was that about, never found out and even if it’s legal
I think you should come down to Home Park next season fantastic location in the city and a great weekend away :)
I think the Northern Championship stadiums are the best
1st Elland Road
2nd Stadium of Light
3rd Hillsborough
4th Bramall Lane
5th Deepdale
6th Pride Park
Shame about the teams though - all massive under achievers over the last few decades. Football success is all about the north west and the south east these days.
If Middlesbrough are in the top 6 derby should be same stadium and derby fill the ground every week especially in division 1 imo
Nice video (apart from Pompey, but I might be slightly biased!)! Have you seen the designs for the new Oxford stadium (someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it will be the first all-electric stadium in the UK) - it would easily be one of the best in the league!
Well done.......thanks for not mentioning the new fanzone and the installation of safe standing area which will be ready for the new season. Which other club is investing so much in their supporters
Sunderland by far the biggest fanbase/ stadium, number 1 in the championship by a Mile. Shef wed above Sunderland made me laugh.
Hi Matt SB
Leeds #1. Can't complain. I like your use of pictures of the grounds. I have given you a 👍🏻
(This video would have worked better as a pre-prepared 24-1.)
I've been to Watford away (it was 2015 when they went up) the atmosphere was incredible.
Been to wednesday away in 2022, thought it was quite quiet after they sang hi ho tbh
There was only one place for Pompey really let's face it, great old skool stadium, plenty of character with a solid passionate fan base
It would be interesting to see your opinions on the grounds without taking into account atomosphere, fans, food and experience too.
I never visited any of these stadiums. I'd really like to visit Hillsborough and stadium of light.
QPR is a bit underrated. Loftus Road isn't in a nice area but in the away end, I liked how close you can be to the pitch. The QPR fans are a passionate bunch too, especially when you consider they could easily support Chelsea or Fulham instead. They make a lot of noise and add to the matchday experience.
Real estate wise, QPR's ground is top of the league.
Touche 😅. My mum was from Northwood Hills and QPR was my grandfather's team. I like the ground actually.
But Craven Cottage is potentially top of the world league on that basis . . .
I think you got it bang on. Come on the North End.
one of the reasons we have that goal music at Carrow Road is precisely to annoy, imagine conceding and being forced to listen to that until the game kicks off again, rubbing it in 😂
Brammel lane on 🔝
Hillsborough was so good I went twice
Just like the majority of SWFC supporters.
Hillsborough is our beloved home, it's the best 👌, thanks Matt
Might be a bad ground with 3 sides but the pitch is excellent and don't forget New Stadium on the Horizon!
I've followed my team (HCAFC) to all of them, at some time or other.. except 1...Oxford. Top 6 (in no order) SofL, Bramall Lane, Ashton Gate, CBS, Home Park, Pride Park. Bottom 6. Portsmouth, Luton, Millwall, QPR, Burnley, Stoke.
Luton's ground wasnt the smallest in the pemier league last season.
I probably would rank Norwich City Carrow Road Stadium 8/10.
Riverside was proper good, one of the better iv been to
As a rovers dan, i'd put us 7-12. The matches I have been to, its been buzzing.
Got to say Plymouth really create some noise home and away. Singing all around the ground at home. Stadium needs some finishing though. A few more thousand and they’d be top half.
Vicarage Road is up there!
Chris Sutton said midway through last season Norwich had a better ground than Ipswich when things were looking like the East Anglian seesaw was tipping away from Norfolk! Ipswich will now be catching that one up too due to Premier League requirements! Carrow Road remains a top stadium though and is a good model to copy But unless teams get or have recently had Premier League status comparisons can be a bit unfair
Cardiff should be top 6 atmosphere is lit and it is always full
My team Millwall, 6/10 fir stadium!! Atmosphere 9 out of 10.
I went to Blackburnrovers
Well we all know what number 1 is before the video even starts. Since our promotion and until we get promoted again I don’t see it changing
Looks like Yorkshire is the place to be
Take me home, Highfield Road!!!!
I know you haven't been to renovated Ashton Gate yet, but when you do, the atmosphere will blow you away. Definitely one of the loudest grounds in the Championship. Easily top-6.
Riverside is always bouncing and for an away fan it always seems like a club with a really nice atmosphere.
Bramall Lane home of the gods 🤪⚔️
bristol city 11th just like in the league, forever average lmaoooo god i love my club
We don't care if others don't like the goal music. After all it plays when we score, not the opposition. It's a quirk in our club and we love it, it's just a mood. 💛💚🎵🎶
I’ve not been to too many grounds in the last 40 years. Bitd I’d go everywhere especially in Yorkshire, I did however go to Cardiff 3 years ago and I thought it was great. I don’t like the new stadiums as they’re all much of a muchness.but I thought Cardiff
Is kenilworth road as good as I hear
As a Norwich Fan I personally really like our stadium. I think the goal music is funny especially how it can really boil the piss of the away fans. People may call it tinpot but that's just the point proven of how it gets to people.
I wanna go the den but I'm scared I'd be knocked out
Wednesday fan i take it 😂
Away fans get their own stand, you'll be fine
Yorkshire Yorkshire!
George Whitebread will be pleased with you.
Hillsbrough elland road carrow road my top 3
Yay
Sheffield Wednesday should be in the top 6, however it’s a bloody shithole.
Riverside & pride park virtually the same, 1 big factor is the fans
Derby get better support & atmosphere is always bang on.
Hillsborough rust bucket 😂😂
UTB!⚪🔴
Boro probably about right 👍
Leeds United number 1
When was the last time the cbs saw prem football and it’s a bowl 🤣
Elland road⚪️🟡🔵
Riverside not as good as ayresome park
Remember seeing evening games at Ayresome on the telly when I was a kid; the roar of the crowd was constant.
Just let you all know away fans are being moved at stoke to the curved corner in the south stand
Why’s Elland Road here Leeds went up after beating Leicester 3-1? (In all seriousness it is a top tier ground lol)
yawn
@@ianbennett1491 sorry pal couldn’t resist ahaha
Exactly. Nail on the head my friend. Sold out every game.
Ranking again! 😂
My favorite is Sheffield Wednesday
Kenilworth Rd is hands down the most disgusting stadium.....it's not really a stadium, it's a shack
I think I'm right in saying that players have to actually walk through a terraced house to go in Kenilworth Road stadium.
I'm a Bolton fan but I've visited 7 of these grounds. For personal rankings for me in terms of the ones I've been to I'd have this:
1. Pride Park (Derby 2-1 Bolton (2022/23 League One)) - Not the best result, but the atmosphere on the day was great with both home and away fans going back and forth the entire game.
2. Fratton Park (Portsmouth 2-0 Bolton (2023/24 League One)) - Cracking home atmosphere and the ground has a lot of character. Unfortunately we got dismantled again on live TV 🤦♂
3. Stadium of Light (Sunderland 1-0 Bolton (2021/22 League One)) - Friendly locals, atmosphere was okay given the state Sunderland were in at that point, but it was an even game.
4. Loftus Road (QPR 4-3 Bolton (2015/16 Championship)) - Went with a mate to this one and while the ground is compact and has character, I'd have been better off chopping my legs off owing to the non-existent leg room. We went 2-0 up in 12 minutes and lost with the last kick of the game, and the goal music continues to annoy me even now... 9 years later. The only reason I didn't rank this lower is because of the practical goalfest that the game ended up being
5. Kassam Stadium (Oxford 0-1 Bolton (2022/23 League One)) - First away day following our EFL Trophy win. Atmosphere wasn't great but the food was alright and I bumped into Vernon Kay on the concourse
6. Home Park (Plymouth 3-0 Bolton (2021/22 League One)) - Locals were friendly although disappointed we couldn't take drinks of any kind into the stands (including my Bovril for some reason). We didn't play well, but the second half should have been played in the Tamar.
7. Kenilworth Road (Luton 0-0 Bolton (2023/24 FA Cup 3rd Round)) - Might be an old ground but it's showing its age, the atmosphere on the day was practically non-existent from the home fans aside from a 5 minute spell before halftime.
??? Are you going off the actual stadium build or how full they get? Headline says ranking championship stadiums?? Ridiculous comment about a decent day out in Cardiff, thought you was ranking stadiums?
His drugs are working , take away the drummer at boro what your left with is silence ,
Sheff utd ground way over hyped aswell
Riverside is always top 6❤️
Leeds
If you don’t like the goal music, just don’t concede; simples 😊
Kassam stadium is non league level, not championship
One day you'll actually say something nice about oxford, but at least today youre right for once 😢
No ofd
Hillsborough is becoming outdated. One side still has roof supports which partly blocks supporter's view. The pitch slopes very slightly. Some of the seating in the corners is uncovered. Parking is difficult.
Can we all take a minute and just appreciate the food at the MKM Stadium, voted best food in the EFL.
Massive achievement for Hull City
QPR Loftus Road and Cardiff City stadiums the worst
Only if you're an away fan .
Bet you're a Swansea fan.
QPR should be at least top half
Away day in London is a plus
Went there last season. It's decent but there is no room for your legs when you sit down. You have to be a midget to feel comfortable on those seats. Definitely must be a bottom 6 for that reason alone.
Leeds ,Sheff utd ,Sheff weds,Boro,Pompey Coventry my Top 6 . Sunderland is half empty most of the time ... cannot justify them being in the top 6 ..I would have QPR above them too maybe in 7th & then then Sunderland in 8th just 🤷♀️.. Sorry Matt .😮
You just made it pretty clear you dont like Sunderland, well done
@@johnfurness2346 I have nothing against them at all. Nice big stadium with great facilities & a pretty talented squad. Shame that the fans don't turn up to support the side ...
mackems put hotdogs in a burger bun.. enough said :))
SWFC average attendance last season was 26k, you beat that, up the R's? Answer- No you can't
All the teams you mentioned get bigger crowds than your stadium would actually hold, you twonk. Do one
@@darrenjones4151 I am actually a Leeds utd supporter our average was 36k ..Don't know why your being so nasty to me ?.
St Andrews was awful
CBS is like a dead wembly
Bramall lane best ground in championship. Utb 👍
I've been to most of these grounds... for me Sheffield Wednesday is the worst out dated and poor in many other aspects. On the other hand Deepdale is pretty pretty little ground and I love the closeness to the pitch and traditional flood lights.
