Steep driveways vs little cars! Snow storm causes multiple recoveries

An icy snowstorm caused quite a few stuck vehicles. Due to the low weight rating of a bridge on the second one, I took my old grey Dodge as it’s the lightest truck I have and the only one under the rating. The first job was a very simple winch of a car up a steep and slippery driveway, but unfortunately the second car suffered some damage when it slid off the side of the driveway and into a tree. On that one I decided to do a side pull to move the car off of the tree without causing any more damage, and luckily the car was still drivable afterwards.

Tip for future rescues, Almost all European cars have a towing hook that you can screw into the front. You'll find it under the floor in the trunk and usually it attaches to a hole behind a little plastic cover in the front bumper, 90% of the time its below the passenger side headlight. Poke the plastic cover out and bam, perfect place to attach your winch without crawling around under the car ;)
