Wow. Brings back memories. Stuck on two wheels on the side of a hill with nowhere to go. It wasn't luck that saved me. There was very little I could do. It's important to have this knowledge. In some cases though, it's more important to have friends. Great effort Simon. This video is going to save someone's butt.🤩
Nice save there Simon! That's one hell of a sketchy situation 😶 I was once feeling the same when taking Kerrmit downhill in the slippery semi-wet conditions at Scenic Rim 4x4 park. Mate and I thought we were on the easy track heading back to camp but we mistakenly ended up on a one way only extreme track on the side of a cutout track on a steep hill headed downhill, with no lockers. It was sketchy as heck, super scary, and felt like I was going to end up sliding over the edge multiple times. We learnt very quickly what to do and not to do in that situation. Definitely a time where my years of experience driving all sorts of terrain for work has come in handy!
Good info….thanks…would love more stuff on off camber situations.. as it’s my biggest concern… when in a trail you been on for miles and miles and you have like a small off camber situation or a tight turn on a switchback or something…thank you…
I'm know amongst my friends for taking some of the worst lines in my jimny, so I wouldn't mind some advice from the pros on what to do when you start lifting wheels and am on the verge of rolling
Been the there & done that in Toolangi, coming down the Steps. Started coming down, Realized this ain't good. Nearly Rolled trying to avoid a Rut, Then had to commit to going to the Bottom of the Hill to find out the Track is blocked at the other end. Tried coming back up unassisted as everyone in the Group was more concerned about another Vehicle in far less Danger. I ended up Stuck & Karl in Rossey GQ had to rescue me the next day.
Great video mate Must admit I’ve been forced to attempt a Uturn on some really steep muddy tracks before and felt the rig sliding down sideways - that‘a not fun
Im a new 4x4 and bro going up a decent incline with rocks everywhere, i couldnt go any further and needed to back down but she wanted to slide sideways. I took it slow and managed to get out of it.
Guys standing on the rear wheel to add weight and someone under the front wheel to fill in the hole. What would've happened if the car just lost grip and rolled forwards? This is so dangerous.

yeah that sounds like a sticky situation. It was just good fortune that we had the cameras there and the lads kept rolling.

WOW, Great explanation young fella. Slows always the go.
