Please check out this Demo/Review of the Brian May Red Special Guitar or (The BMG Special). My friend let me use his guitar for this video, its a very comfortable guitar and there are alot of amazing sounds you can get from the guitar due to of all the pick up and out of phase variations you can get from this guitar.

It’s an amazing guitar.And he keeps improving it.The screws are black and the knobs look original.And yes I got mine from England . Only 6 days from Sussex to Las Vegas.And it’s gorgeous both top and bottom,look like one piece👌🏿😊

I just ordered a used one complete with 6 pence on Reverb. “As New”. Been wanting to try one for years. I’m now 70 so times wasting. I’m very anxious to see how it feels and the weight. I don’t care for the telecasters so I’m apprehensive about the neck circumstance.

I've had one of these for a few years now. I found out quickly that 9-42 strings on a 24-inch scale guitar don't work for me (I guess I'm a lot more "heavy-handed" than Sir Brian!), but I put 10s on it, even added an extra spring for the tremolo, and that made it way better for me. Aside from all that, I absolutely love it!
My next purchase is gonna be the Vox MV50BM amp, the "Brian May" model, of course. ;)

4:58When you engage just one pickup switching it out of phase makes no sense and makes no effect, because it can be out of phase only when paired with any other pickup(s).
sorry, I had just gotten the guitar before I did the video and was trying to figure out all the feature, sorry if it was confusing or incorrect

Those pickups look kickass. They sound great, but they look so good. Kind of a high output type thing

They are super high output can’t use the same settings on a amp with an strat
I have a BMG Red special, just got it...the pick up are really not hot, actually the opposite- I saw a Brian video taking about his sound, and he said he runs his guitar- 1 st. pedal- a tone ranger treble booster- I do that as well with my martin- plexi master- pedal- then the guitar kicks....but with out that boost on, these pickups hace less out put then my starts, and alot less gain than my les pauls.....over all a unique instrument an a good addition to your collection, when you want something different. I have- a Flying V, an Explorer, a SG (all Gibsons) 2 les pauls, 1- 1982 kramer Pacer (original) and a fender Tele, and 2 strats. and now this BMG.....And I will keep it, play it gig with it and record.

I find it amazing that they put such and amazing guitar together, the zero fret, the tremelo, putting frets and how everything lined up and he still uses the guitar- amazing, thank you for checking out the video
You can't put out of phase a single pick-up. The out-of-phase thing only works when two or all the pick-ups are on.

Hello, I'm not sure if the guitar you are playing is the BMG Special or the BMG Super.
I think this one was the special, because the tremelo is not like his original, the tremelo on this has saddles like a strat
That was a pretty deep dive. Very interesting. Looked a bit uncomfortable …. Let us know how it felt to play

Don’t ask me why, but I’m pretty sure you can do more with the whammy bar than you might think. I’m pretty sure I’ve heard people play dive bomber runs and bend it back also. I could be wrong, however.
I think you can do some stuff, but big dive bombs on this guitar , it will go it of tune, but the I think you can do some stuff, because there is not alot of friction with the trem and strings

how do these compare to the 2005 Burns model? (which I have). Anyone played both and have any opinions?
I have not played the 2005 Burns model, I would think it would be close to get the original's sound
Why do i need to keep my middle pickup on all the time in order to be able to hear bridge and neck pick-ups.. wots wrong with my guitar..

I know you are a rock guy but I d love if you could appreciate Prince talent and do a Let’s go Crazy solo
actually I love Prince his music and his guitar playing, the problem is its hard to find Prince backing tracks that don't have guitar on it, I will do some more digging to see if I can find the backing track to lets to go crazy and I will do that solo
Do you have any tips on getting a good clean tone out of the 5150?
I am sorry, I don't have any tips, its a great amp, just tweek a little on a clean channel, if you want more info check out cameron cooper's discussion on the 5150 amp,
by the way you can't put it out of phase with just one pickup on, you need at least 2

I am playing through THU3, its a Voxa30 with mild distortion, reverb, little delay and a flanger
Why be like Brian May? Why sound like BrianMay? I prefer to sound like me.The red special is not even a nice guitar. In the 90s it was still interesting, but there is even a copy of Harley Benton.
I have seen the HB models, I wonder how they play?
