Run to God

In today's message, God's people are encouraged not to forsake the gathering of believers. When people feel they are sinners and inadequate, they have the tendency to run away or hide from God.
But today, Paul encourages us to draw near to God no matter how we feel. Paul outlines how we should draw near to God.
1. Draw near to God in full assurance of faith. God sent his son to die for us while we were yet sinners. So we have to come believing in the new covenant.
2. Hold firm our confession that Christ is the Saviour and we are saved by his sacrifice. Let us be firm in the confession of our faith. God has promised us eternal life and he will bring it to pass.
3. Have foresight in living as a Christian. This helps to keep us on the path of righteousness. To have foresight is to always submit to the holy spirit's leading.
4. At all times be in fellowship with believers.
