The whole Iron Maiden debut album is a masterpiece! Influenced every Metal band that came after them.

R.I.P. to Paul Di'Anno (vocals) and Clive Burr (drums)... who are no longer w/ us. Immortal performance by early Iron Maiden in late 1980 w/ Steve Harris (bass), Dave Murray and Adrian Smith (guitars)

It was written near 1975, as steve Harris wrote it in another band and they told him it was too complicated and so he formed his own band,...Iron Maiden🤘

Released in 1980 but actually recorded in 1979! One of their best tunes. Definitely influential on speed and thrash metal.

I’ll always have a soft spot for Paul since he was lead singer on my first Maiden album in 1981. I was blown away by Killers. Up The Irons!

Probably the FIRST THRASH SONG IN HISTORY... And of that technical Thrash from between 1986 and 1990. A colossal work in the history of Metal.
PS: I even get a lot of Black Metal vibes from it.

Thats Stone Cold Crazy by Queen (from 1974). But this one definitely had influence on thrash 🤘

You're seeing Adrian Smith here on guitar who took over in 1981, a buddy of the other guitarist since school days. Myself, a big fan of Maiden since 1980, I always thought them to be progressive hard rock and hate to see them lumped together as metal with bands coming after that are the definition of metal (and Maiden as a primary influence for most).

This, before it was a speckle in Andrew's eye.

Awesome. This is that single track that made me know I loved guitar rock (this is NOT metal) When.... Exactly Holy Crap. '84 or '85 I don't know now. So many bands copied them. Including Metallica!!!!!

Maiden was so much better with only two guitarists, not three!
