  • Just a test. Only part of the video.
    The cut sequence for the two 4-axis simultaneous swarf cuts might seem short. They are actually a bit long (with a small step-over), so I cut a bit of footage there. Hope you don't get too bored.

      Haha, thanks. If you look closely you can see I still left a bit of material on there where the tab is.
      One more operation puts a large hole through the part and ends up cleaning up that last bit.

    that little tab at the end is pretty slick

    Howdy, did you have to buy HAAS’s TCPC/DWO software to do this or is this in your cam package, if cam, what cam are you using? Thanks Garret

    I was looking at getting a HRC210. Have you had any problems or found any issues with using it? Thanks

    Wow that was awesome! Was the first tool some kind of dovetail cutter? Never new you could do that lol.

    • @GRTLRS
      @GRTLRS  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep, a dovetail. That second corner has a slight undercut. It worked great, although it took longer than I wanted.

    can you show the program because I want to generate a program in Mastercam with a machine like this but I don't know how to make it because I don't have a lot of informations about the component and its G codes and M codes had been programmed in this operation in the forth axis.

    Dude, the TRT100 by haas looks bad ass. I ordered my 10th haas today. (VF2SS with 5th axis wiring) Thinking of the TRT100. Do you know of it?

      Yep, I've been looking for more info on 'em. Seems our HFO hasn't sold many. Salesman didn't have much info on it last I asked. There isn't too many videos on here either. Sure looks interesting based on it's specs though!
      Sounds like it would be a nice addition to your new machine. What would you use for workholding?

    How do you deburr while keeping the tool constantly on the part at 5:47? Thanks in advance

    • @GRTLRS

      For that I used 4-axis trim in Surfcam (traditional).

    What do you do with the part after breaking it off? Do you sand of the remaining part of the break off tab?

    • @GRTLRS
      @GRTLRS  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      On this one a hole is drilled through on the next operation, so any burr left in the middle is removed. Otherwise, more care is taken when parting off to leave as little burr as possible. Yes usually a little clean up is needed.

      Extended Y-axis travel.
      20" on this machine, vs 16" on regular SS.
