Wow thanks so much, do I get a badge or something? I'll wear it with honor... Just jokes, seriously thanks so much for your support and feedback on the channel!
Thank you, I was trying to figure out how my guest can view the broadcast. The setting sections with the interview mode as set me free!!!! Looking forward to your Ecamm Class...
Thank you, Kirk Nugent, what a great voice! A couple of quick questions: 1) Do you and/or your guests need headphones for better sound quality? 2) Do your guests need to be on an Apple device, or would any device and browser do? Thank you for creating and posting 💜
Sorry for the delayed response what I typed didn’t post for some reason. To answer your questions 1 No but if they are musicians or have a pro setup you’ll want headphones to be able to turn off echo cancellation. 2 No any device or browser will do. Ecamm is Mac only but guests connect through the browser so they can use anything.
Thank you for the feedback and support of the channel! When you say how to deal with multiple guests can you explain further? How to assign them or what did you mean? Also have you considered the ECamm Deep Dive course? It's $50 and covers everything in great detail. Visit www.kirkrnugent.com/courses and look for ECamm Deep Dive
Oh Wow that is such an awesome compliment! I love ECamm and hope you find all that you need to learn from these videos.. You're not the first person to say something about my voice... Guess I need to do something with it!
Thanks so much for your comment and feedback! Great question, I will definitely add it to my schedule. Basically the difference is StreamYard is Tier 2 (totally web based with limited flexibility which enables a consistent professional looking stream) where ECamm is Tier 3 (locally installed Mac Only with a ton of customization which requires we powerful computer and stable internet). They both at their core do the same thing. It's up to us to decide individually what our priorities are in choosing one over the other.
Kirk, I have tried to use the Record Only mode for Interviews (not live streaming). I am hoping to record the guest audio on a separate track - how do I do this using Ecamm? The recorded video gives me a mixed audio. Also, is it even possible to record audio simultaneously on Audition (while recording on Ecamm), without feedback and /or leak/spill? Can you help me with the loopback connections if this is possible?
In the Settings / Preferences of ECamm under the Audio settings you can select individual Audio Tracks. I've not used Audition simultaneously with ECamm but I have recorded separate in Zoom while recording in ECamm using Loopback to send the audio to Zoom. Here's a link to a video to set that up - th-cam.com/video/2j61-rQQLGs/w-d-xo.html If you are interested in having me walk you through the setup one on one you can schedule that here - kirkrnugent.live/bookme
Thanks for the comment and support of the channel. Ecamm has increased the guest count to 10, so you can have a total of 10 guests connected at any given time. The Green room is where guests who are not on screen wait so lets say you are interviewing 2 people on screen you can have 8 people waiting in the green room. Hope that makes sense, thanks for. your question.
Hi Samantha! Thank you for the comment and support of the channel. To move the image behind the overlay you do that with "Layer Priority" in the Ecamm Overlay Window you'll see all your overlays. By clicking and dragging them up and down you are essentially moving above and below the other items that are there. I hope that makes sense. Let me know if you have any questions also if your interested in a more complete training of Ecamm visit kirkrnugent.com/courses. Side note my mothers maiden name is Salmon so your last name is a family name for me.
Hey Saskelee, thanks for the comment and support of the channel! I don't have one specific video on Echo but I cover it in many places, including the Audio Training I did for Ecamm Last week. The key is checking if Audio processing is turned on or off and whether your guest is using headphones. One or both of those things will eliminate echo. I know my reponse is a few weeks late and I apologize but let me know if that helps.
THanks for the comment, the scene at that time stamp was designed in Canva earlier in the program and then brought into Ecamm. Can you share a little more about what your issue is? I'm not sure how to assist, thanks.
Awesome tutorial. If you are moderating a discussion with multiple guests, are you able to hide your own video/audio as the host and have the guests communicate with each other? If so, is that as simple as removing your host camera from the feed? I've heard that the guests will hear an audio delay on their end whenever they talk themselves.
Thanks for the comment and support. ECamm is based on Scenes. You decide / design them the way you want so if you don't want the host in a scene simply design it without selecting the host camera. I produce shows for clients using ECamm so I do this all the time. To your second point I've never had clients complained of a delay when speaking one another on screen.
Hello Kirk! What if i got 3 guests at the same time? Plus me, there will be 4 persons at the same time on screen. I got overlays and i got a problem with the positions on screen?
@@kirkrnugent The problems is when i put the overlay on screen and the got the people on screen the system put them in other places, no inside the boxes that i prepare for them. Please excuse my english.
