Excellent video. Thank you very much. Q: I use Notability with my iPad to write comments, draw, etc. Would overlays be useful, and what would they look like?
Hey Catherine! Thanks for watching! You could create an overlay with an iPad Mockup and have the screen area be transparent. This is actually a great idea for a video. I can show how this works next week on my Marshall Creates with Ecamm show.
You showed how to cut out the inside of an element in preview on an canva png file. But how would I do the samething in a canva mp4 file with an video background instead of a still background? I asked cause a file like that won't even load on preview. It would be a QuickTime file on my MacBook pro.
You actually don't need to cut frames anyhow. Ecamm now allows backgrounds that you can layer your camera overlays on top of. Just choose Overlays > Camera Overlay and you can create a professional layout for your show.
Man, thank you so much!!! Question: When you're showing stuff on your screen and zooming into certain areas, how are you doing that? Video editing software after you're done recording? What are you using? Thanks again.
Some of the zooming we do is in post-production editing, but if you want an easy way to zoom in while you're live or recording, here's Doc Rock to show you how: th-cam.com/video/qOT00bf6BFk/w-d-xo.html

Thank YOU for watching!
@@EcammLive thank you so much bro. 💯
@@EcammLive Thanks so much.
Of course!
That was awesome.. Thank you so very much
No problem, Gina!
Thanks for watching, Gina!
Great stuff and I am hooked. I downloaded the latest NewTek NDI Scan Converter 1.4 (10) and Ecamm Live 3.8.0. I can’t run both at the same time. NDI crashes if I am running it and launch Ecamm or if I have Ecamm running I can’t launch NDI. Any thoughts?

This.... was amazing, THANK YOU! 🙌🏻
No problem!! Thanks for tuning in!
Thanks for watching!
Excellent teaching!! Thank you very much.
So glad to hear it. Thanks so much for watching!
When on NDI converter and I click on File, my only option is desktop. There is no option for ZOOM. What am I doing wrong?
Once you select it, it will eventually ask you for authorization
Super helpful, super simple. Thank you
You’re welcome!
So thrilled to hear it!
What is the size we want to make the square for the screen share? I cant seem to make it the right size
Hi there! It might be easiest to use screen share overlays for this. Once you have a screen share overlay added to your stream, you can crop the overlay to size when resizing while holding the option key.
Hey sir, I'm looking for certain things you have in all your videos. Specifically, the Like, Follow, and Subscribe transparent animations at the end of your vids. Additionally, I'd like to learn how to make my own specific SM Reminders as well with sound (to show my platform handles and etc). If you have a video explaining this, please provide me the link. If not, would you please consider making one.
Thanks so much for the feedback! Marshall does have videos on our channel talking about how to use tools like Canva to make graphics, but not those specific graphics. We'll let him know.
@@EcammLive Thank You.
Your videos and presentation are always top drawer Marshall. Thank you. Would love to see you take this to the next level with singular.live
Awesome, thanks, Mike!
Yeah, that would be so cool! Great thought, Mike.
How do you have smooth skin filter effects with your video?
There are actually no smooth skin filters in this video. Marshall is using a LUT though. You can find out more about LUTS here: th-cam.com/video/Ayv-NKCb9gc/w-d-xo.html
Great video, Marshall!
Thanks for watching!
Thanks. This was great. I managed to create my own brand
Amazing!! Thanks so much for watching.
Hey I love this video … how do ppl get the animated backgrounds with overlay is it the same concept with boxes? I got questions and this is the year I stop slacking with ecamm
We've added quite a few updates to Ecamm Live since this video was created. Now you can add an animated overlay and layer camera overlays over top of that to create the effect you are looking for!
@@EcammLive do you all have a video that demonstrates it ?
Here's a video demonstrating camera overlays!

I got to the instant alpha part but I dont have an Apple computer. And I couldnt see an option on the pc for this. Is it not possible?
Hi there! This tutorial is showing how to use Canva and Ecamm on a Mac. Ecamm is a Mac-only software.
@@EcammLive ahhhh explains why I got stuck lol thanks for the reply!
Sorry about that! We'll try to clarify it in the description. Canva definitely works for both PC and Mac, but Ecamm doesn't. @@RealBMXRacingThePodCast
What camera are you using?
I believe Marshall was using a Canon M50 for this video.
I installed that but my ECAMM is not recognizing it. Any tips?
Installed NDI? Did you do Scan Converter? Make sure you approve all necessary permissions. If all else fails I’d uninstall and reinstall.
@@themarshallfox I had to reboot my computer and now it's working. However, it won't recognize the zoom meeting room. Only the home screen. Any tips on that?
@@FunCorporateMagicNY Did you select the zoom meeting from the menu in NDI?
@@themarshallfox that's the problem. It only shows the zoom home screen, not the zoom meeting room
@@FunCorporateMagicNY Ahhh not sure about that one bud, try this: th-cam.com/video/QTOJfjudwQA/w-d-xo.html
New to Ecamm, followed up to the point where he added two guests. Been struggling for an hour trying to figure out how he did that. Uggh.
Hi Five Solas. We're happy to answer any questions you have. Here's our getting started series: th-cam.com/play/PLL6YwvbiQ6gBW_VizTNQ3Hmo55awJm_8N.html

Keep setting the pace bro!! Appreciate you! 💯💯
He's so amazing (and hey - you know we think you are, too!)
Great video for creating from Canva.
Thanks for tuning in, Ros!
Thank you!
love this thank you so much, this has me completly sold now on how i want to present my youtube videos i have been boring for too long lol
So glad to hear it! Let us know if any questions come up along the way.
@@EcammLive i would love your help if you can. Do you do custom backgrounds? I’m looking to get something done as if it was just me on camera sharing screen and also backgrounds for 1.2.3.4 and 5 person interviews 😀
Hi Stix Fx! We do not create custom backgrounds, but we recommend these creators: support.ecamm.com/en/articles/5124226-graphics-packages-and-overlays-for-ecamm-live
@@EcammLive ah ok, never mind thanks for your reply, i will look into this as well :-)
